The Role
As our Deputy Shop Manager you will be responsible for setting up our brand-new shop in Hull, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.
You will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.
Specifically, you will:

Play an active part in running our shop in Hull, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity.

Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation.

Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a happy retail environment.

Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).

Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes.

Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters.

Role Overview:
The Head of Marketing & Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s growth. Responsibilities include:
Leadership, Strategy and Governance
- To be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind our strategic plan.

Donor stewardship & reporting

Communications
- To input into MIH’S communications strategy and the planning and implementation of improvements to marketing plans, digital presence and social media strategy to ensure impact and fundraising successes are communicated
- To maintain a stock of impact-focused case studies and success stories and ensure fundraising successes are communicated on social media and online.

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to join us as our new Chief Executive. You will play a critical role in leading the organisation and representing PATA and its members in the ever-evolving Early Education and Children’s Play sectors.
PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to the Early Years and Play (Out of School) sector in Gloucestershire. We are a Charity based in Gloucester with around 170 member settings and manage five of our own Early Years settings (PATA Managed Groups (PMGs)). Our mission is to support the development of high quality and accessible early education, play and provision for children, young people and their families.
At its heart, PATA is a people-based organisation and you will be joining a strong and committed team, both in the Head Office and the PMGs. You will lead the organisation, working with the Board of Trustees in setting the strategic vision, mission and priorities. Role:
As a CST Client Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients transitioning from military to civilian life by providing tracking, referral, and job matching services. As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.
You’ll have good customer service skills and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have previous retail experience with the ability to manage and lead the store in the absence of the Community Shop Manager (CSM).
Reporting into the CSM and working closely with the Retail Regional Manager you will aid in supporting your store to run efficiently and deliver a positive financial contribution to the Hospice. You’ll also have the support of a Retail Regional Supervisor, available to provide store encouragement and development of best practice.

Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Shrewsbury shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience.
