CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK who specialise in finding homes for children in care. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. The full programme is listed on the CVAA UK website and inlcudes topics such as LGBTQ+ parenting; therapy for children; identity formation; racism and anti-racism; parenting courses; theraplay and many more.

Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. The Head of Corporate Partnerships will join at an incredibly exciting time for the charity and corporate partnerships programme. Sitting on the Fundraising SLT and leading the team of four, the Head of Corporate will bring a new business lens to the portfolio, driving new brand and commercial, strategic and charity of the year partnerships. The role will also oversee a Department of Health funded programme to bring pregnancy information to SMEs.

Personally leading on and supporting the Senior Partnerships Manager in developing new business will be a key element of the role, including building propositions around key campaign moments. The Access Foundation is focused on making a real difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities which make a valuable and measurable positive impact.  Our grant giving objectives fall into three categories:

Job objectives 

• Support the trustees in the due diligence and evaluation of each applicant and facilitate the decision-making process for each application 

• Support the ongoing evaluation process of all successful applicants and ensure agreed measures and outcomes are reported back to the Foundation in a timely manner 

• Manage the external communication of the Foundation’s successes back to stakeholders and supporters, as well as other channels on social media, such as Instagram and LinkedIn

Duties and responsibilities will include 

• Write regular reports to the trustees of new applications, applications in progress and outcomes, inform and advise the trustees to achieve a swift decision on all cases 

• Organise the publicity and communications around each successful grant, including newsfeeds, social media and website updates. 

• Liase with the Access Marketing team to support their own comms 

• Ensure financial accounts are accurate and complete 

• Liase with 3rd parties such as external suppliers and partners ranging from auditors to our financial partners 

• Draft Offer letters for the successful applicants 

• Recruit, Manage and Appraise the Admin and Grant Assistant

• Attend trustees, volunteers and applications meetings 

• Manage the access controls for volunteers and staff 

• Oversee the financial accounts, approve invoices on our bespoke Finance system and deal with some financial accounting together with our Chair of the board of trustees 

Skills and Experience Required 

• Organised, efficient and reliable with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneous 

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role 

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels from junior to CEO 

• Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook. 

• The ability to be an ambassador for the Foundation to all external parties and stakeholders 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to travel to London as required (minimum once every 6 weeks)

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance has an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Director to join the Executive Team and to be responsible for all aspects of aviation and other, non-clinical, operational activities.  Also, as part of EHAAT’s strategic plan to gain its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in late 2025, the Aviation Director will form and lead the new AOC team supported by our experienced AOC transition Programme Manager.  As the AOC Accountable Manager, they will be responsible for all aspects of the safe, compliant and effective operation of our 2 AW169 helicopters in their life-saving role.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. This free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and rapid response vehicles.

Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.

They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only in the hospital emergency department.

Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.

Duties and key responsibilities

Community fundraising

• Manage and develop regional fundraising by devising a regional community fundraising strategy for income generation.
• Design and develop Sarcoma UK's calendar of annual community fundraising campaigns and events communication, including Cuppa and Cake.
• Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
• Identify opportunities and recruit new community fundraisers, fundraising groups, corporate and school partners.
• Work with the Fundraising team to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.
• Lead on promotion of community fundraising through digital marketing, PR, speaking engagements and on the ground fundraising.

Management

• Provide line management and day-to-day support to the Regional Fundraising Officer North, building their fundraising knowledge.

Income Generation

Processes, administration, and reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• Ensure all recording, and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Ensure necessary Community Fundraising policies are up to date.
• Follow Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures including risk assessments to ensure a consistent approach and maintain a high level of support expected by our donors and fundraisers.
• Ensure that all activities are compliant with legislation governing fundraising including GDPR, health and safety, Institute of Fundraising, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct.

Wider fundraising

• Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
• Support third party fundraising and challenge event portfolio.
• Work with the Events Manager to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
• Support with managing merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.

General

• The role requires some travel to events and meetings throughout the UK. Some weekend or evening work will also be required and time off in lieu will be given. Travel expenses will be reimbursed (exc. Travel to the Sarcoma UK office).
• Stay up to date with the latest knowledge in fundraising and ensure Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures follow best practice.

You will be commercially minded; bringing fresh ideas to our established LOROS events and campaigns in order to help increase profit, as well as championing the participant experience to ensure that people spread the word and come back year on year. You will get to work closely with all technical advisors and play an important role in the production of the team's publications as well as in organising policy advocacy events at the UK parliamentary and global levels.

In this role, you will: 

• Lead on the learning, reporting and communications for the health team, including on the various advocacy projects, grants and workstreams.
• Play a leading role in editing the health team's reports and policy briefing documents, including any research, fact-checking or writing that is required.
• Lead on updating and maintaining the health team's web pages. While maintaining brand requirements.
• Deliver high-quality editorial content for a wide range of planned key corporate communications, in line with the organisation's priorities and brand, implementing Save the Children's editorial style and standards.
• Ensure health team develop quality materials, blogs and thought pieces, while implementing our brand positioning, communications guidelines, and house style.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and leading the wider supporter care team, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for the end to end Individual Giving Programme. You will help maximise supporter recruitment and development opportunities whilst ensuring long-term growth for St Giles Hospice.

To manage the delivery of the Individual Giving Programme which includes recruiting new cash and regular giving supporters from a variety of multi-channel campaigns and initiatives. To deliver the warm campaigns such as cash appeals, regular giving, raffles and lottery.

To manage the stewardship of supporters through the proactive and effective data management, delivering an excellent supporter experience through targeted supporter journeys. To develop, deliver and proactively manage campaign plans, budgets, and reports for senior stakeholders.

Knowledge and experience

Essential

·Experience of working in third sector

·Experience in a communications and marketing role

·Demonstrable experience individual giving / customer, and donor / customer acquisition, retention and segmentation in a charity / commercial setting

·Track record of successfully managing and developing relationships with individual supporters, customers or clients.

·Experience of successfully developing and implementing a plan for individual giving / customer, and donor / customer acquisition, retention in a charity / commercial setting.

·Knowledge of regulatory environment for fundraising from individuals including data protection, Gift Aid and Fundraising Codes of Practice and regulation

·Experience of and resilience to meeting targets and KPIs.

·A proven track record of success in working with others, managing people, and delivery of high-quality results to deadlines

·Experience of working with data for marketing and analysis purposes

·Good knowledge of data selection, data analysis, insight and application of datasets for maximum success

Digital CRM Migration Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity with a 12-month fixed term contract where we are looking for an experienced digital marketer who is process and data driven. This role is integral to migrating digital systems and processes to a new CRM database, improving them as we optimise new functionality. This is working as part of a transformational project team to ensure Mencap is set for the future for supporter engagement.

 As the Digital CRM Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for defining digital data points and mapping digital data flows through to the new CRM and Marketing Cloud. This will mean supporting the CRM steering group in defining digital user journeys and optimising the configuration of our new CRM and Marketing Cloud to ensure we optimise their functionality to ultimately raise vital funds and mobilise key audiences to support people with a learning disability.

 This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time role.  We offer flexible working with at least one day per week (Tuesday) based in our London office near Aldgate East and Liverpool Street stations.
