Job description

We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Team Administrator & Office Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role sits at the heart of the New Economics Foundation, providing a warm welcome to visitors, supporting colleagues across teams and helping to ensure our office is an efficient, well-resourced and enjoyable place to work.

No two days are the same. From coordinating meetings and events, managing office facilities and suppliers, and supporting internal communications, to providing administrative assistance to senior leaders and project teams, you'll be involved in a wide variety of activities that keep the NEF moving forward. You'll quickly become the go-to person for practical support, problem-solving and getting things done.

We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, takes pride in the details, enjoys building positive relationships, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when something needs attention. You'll be confident managing competing priorities, comfortable working with people at all levels, and motivated by helping others succeed. In return, you'll have the opportunity to work across the organisation, gain exposure to a wide range of teams and projects, and play an important role in supporting our mission and impact.

Role: Team Administrator & Office Coordinator
Hours of work: Full Time (32 hours per week under NEF’s Shorter Working Week)
Salary: £37,279 - £38,962
Location: London (in-office four days per week)
Contract type: Permanent

Inclusivity at NEF:

NEF wants to be an inclusive workplace with a diverse body of staff. We don’t want to conform to the traditional think-tank model where people from certain backgrounds are hugely under-represented. We know we have some way to go in this and are therefore genuinely keen to receive applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic people; women; neurodivergent people; disabled people; people who identify as LGBT+; people with experience of mental health problems; and people who identify as working class or have done so in the past.

Accessibility and Equal Opportunity:

We value all candidates and are committed to equal opportunity. As a Disability Confident employer, we guarantee an interview to all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role. If you require any reasonable adjustments to support you during the application process, or would like information in an alternative format, please let us know.

We actively promote positive action to advance fairness and tackle underrepresentation within our workforce.
