We are looking for a Chief of Staff on a fixed-term maternity cover for up to 12 months to be a key partner to the CEO, drive strategic alignment across the organization while enhancing executive decision-making and external impact. This role combines strategic thinking, governance leadership, and effective project and stakeholder management to enable the Clean Air Fund to achieve its mission of improving global air quality. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

The CEO depends on the Chief of Staff to function effectively. The post holder needs to be at the heart of the organisation, with a finger on the pulse of issues and able to present our ambition and initiatives with precision and aplomb.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience and a track record of supporting an ED/CEO or a leadership team on strategic initiatives, preferably in a Chief of Staff capacity.
• Great written communication – including speeches, briefings, presentations, articles, social media
• Strategic and analytical – able to analyse complex information including political, scientific and financial
• Problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Able to see what pressures the CEO faces and to find ways to lessen them, and to make informed judgements on prioritisation and delivery.
• Able to switch between the big picture and the details of a pressing issue; between influencing senior stakeholders and following up to ensure actions are being done.
• Relationship Management. Ability to establish, build and develop complex and strategic and trusted relationships, often with senior stakeholders. Cultivates relationships over the long term.

Our Administrative Assistant sits at heart of Trauma Recovery CIC, coordinating client enquiries and referrals, supporting the client facing team and working with our Operations Lead to ensure everything runs smoothly. 

Trauma Recovery CIC’s Administrative Assistant is central to the organisation. The person in this role supports the
people accessing our services, the client facing team to provide the services, and the leadership team to ensure
accurate reporting to understand trends, needs and secure future funding.

They will coordinate referrals, booking initial appointments and sending information by email and post to those
who use the service and the professionals supporting them.

To support the team, they will ensure that the client management system runs smoothly, provide administrative
support and where possible tech support to the client facing team and ensure that records are accurate and up to
date.

To support the leadership team, they may coordinate events, research local services, support with completing
reports and funding applications and day to day ensure that communication between team members is clear.

Penrose Women's Luton SHAP support women who have experienced multiple forms of exclusion such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug/alcohol dependency, and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. The team supports our women to create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment to create a space where they can call home. They provide person-centred care and support to help them overcome personal challenges and rebuild their lives for brighter futures.

In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will support in driving service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma and psychologically informed environment. You will ensure the service runs smoothly in collaboration with the team, wider teams, and external partners. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, has experience within a similar service environment, and can create a safe space for individuals to learn, and grow.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a broad range of high‑level Executive Office support activities, including:

• Preparing, coordinating and servicing senior leadership meetings, including drafting clear agendas, collating accurate papers, taking high‑quality minutes and tracking actions with a strong attention to detail.
• Providing high‑quality executive and administrative support to the CEO Office, including complex diary and inbox management, and the drafting, handling and dispatch of correspondence on behalf of the Group CEO with excellent written accuracy and judgment.
• Supporting effective planning, briefing and preparation to ensure the Group CEO is fully equipped for internal and external engagements, with well‑structured briefings and precise, timely documentation.

Projects you may work on include:

• Coordinating national and international travel programmes for the Group CEO, President and senior trustees, producing accurate itineraries and paperwork to ensure effective use of time and seamless stakeholder engagement.
• Supporting the delivery of high‑profile Institute events involving the Group CEO, Executive Team and senior stakeholders, with a strong focus on detail, logistics and written briefings.
• Undertaking short‑term project work and research for the Executive Team, analysing and summarising information clearly and producing briefings, reports or presentations as required.

Who will I work with?

You’ll work closely with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, including:

• The CEO Office Operations Manager and Executive Assistant to the Group CEO and President, working collaboratively to ensure the smooth, accurate and professional running of the Executive Office.
• Executive Directors, senior trustees and members of the Leadership Team across the Institute and its subsidiary companies, including IOP Publishing.
• Senior internal and external stakeholders, including equivalent CEO offices in partner organisations, government and learned societies, requiring clear, professional written communication and attention to detail.

Essential:

• Proven experience providing high‑level PA or Executive Assistant support in a fast‑paced, complex environment, including diary management, meeting support and high‑quality minute‑taking.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, accurate and professional correspondence, briefings and minutes, alongside a consistently high level of attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the judgment and discretion to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Advanced IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Nice to have:

• Experience supporting senior executives or boards within a charity, professional body, membership organisation or similarly complex environment.
• Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate electronic records and contact databases.

We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. You will be assigned a base office, with hybrid working offered as standard. This role does however involve regular visits to our head office based on business needs. 

You will engage in regular in person collaboration with your team (as operational appropriate), as well as with colleagues across the wider organisation, to ensure effective operational alignment and to support our inclusive approach to working.

As an organization we meet in person once a quarter at our Head Office in Kings Cross, London.

This Wheelchair Skills Trainer role will predominantly support the Service Delivery Managers in the effective planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training to meet the strategic objectives. You will be required to work directly with young people and their families, schools, colleagues, partner organisations and professionals, delivering accredited wheelchair skills training across South or North Wales (location dependent) or London. Full training and resources will be provided.

The person

You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. The postholder will take responsibility for the delivery of accredited face-to-face wheelchair skills training for young wheelchair users, as well as training for parents and other professionals involved in their development, ensuring processes and procedures relating to safety and safeguarding are followed. The role also includes liaising with schools, colleges and external organisations and ensuring volunteers are supported and empowered at services.

Key accountabilities

• Planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training and train the trainer across Wales or London.

• Liaise with Whizz Kidz Service Delivery Managers to ensure familiarity with the content and plans for each session, including information about young people’s care and medical needs, details of volunteers attending and venue information including contact names and access arrangements.

• Updating all documentation for events and participants onto the database.

• Promoting Whizz Kidz services to third party organisations in order to drive new applications/referrals.

• Ensuring feedback and monitoring data is collected at each event.

• Liaising with young people, families and schools as required.

• Attending Whizz Kidz services across the country if required in order to support the Service Delivery Managers.

• Use the risk assessment provided by Whizz Kidz to ensure confidence in briefing other staff/volunteers, continually updating each risk assessment where necessary.

• Adhere to relevant Whizz Kidz policies and procedures regarding safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, risk management, health and safety, incident reporting and working with volunteers when facilitating events for young disabled people. Ensure that all staff and volunteers are fully briefed and working within these guidelines and policies.

• Liaise with Whizz Kidz Services Delivery Managers to ensure availability of sufficient resources and equipment for services, highlighting any discrepancies.

• Attend training days and events with Whizz Kidz staff and volunteers to continually develop relevant skills and competencies to effectively deliver Whizz Kidz’s Young People’s Services.

• Lead Volunteers throughout the day to deliver all planned activities in a safe and positive way, working in line with policies and procedures to ensure maximum participation.

The Events Operations and Venues Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Events-run venues and the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality event environments across multiple parks, community venues and outdoor event sites. The role supports the overall event management function while managing part of the Venues Team and ensuring operational excellence across all spaces. 

This position leads on operational logistics, facilities management and on-site delivery, ensuring venues are compliant, well-presented and fully prepared to support a diverse programme of events. Main Duties/Responsibilities:   

Team & workforce management 

• Line manage Duty Managers and oversee the wider casual workforce including Event Assistants, Security, Caretakers and Cleaners. 
• Lead Recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of casual staff 
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix across all events and venues taking responsibility for the rota system 
• Ensure effective coordination of rotas and cross-team event activity.  

 Venue Operations & Facilities Management 

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of all Events-run venues.

• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance with central operations teams.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Director to lead and grow African Revival. This is an opportunity for a hands-on charity leader to strengthen our operations and governance, build sustainable income through fundraising and partnerships, and help expand our impact for children and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Governance & operations: ensure statutory and other reporting requirements are met in the UK and overseas; establish and maintain appropriate policies and procedures; manage day-to-day organisational administration; coordinate and attend Board and committee meetings and prepare papers.
• Leadership & stakeholder management: build and maintain close working relationships with UK and in-country staff, volunteers, trustees, donors and partners; champion a positive, inclusive culture. Help shape the charity’s strategic growth and long-term sustainability

Essential

• Senior leadership experience (in a charity, social enterprise, or non-profit organisation preferred but not essential).
• Proven ability to build and deliver fundraising activity (events, trusts & foundations, major donors and/or corporate partnerships).
