Role Summary

You will work closely with The Governance and Team Lead to ensure smooth and effective running of our finance and HR processes. You will work with the wider team supporting their effective delivery of training and projects as well as provide day to day support. This is a mixed and self-directed role with opportunity to contribute to a range of work and projects. We require some core office hours, by agreement and support team members to work flexibly to accommodate good work/life balance.

Wellbeing Coach

Hours: 17.5 – 21 hours per week (part-time)
Starting salary: £25,767 (pro-rata)

Location: Office base is Chorley. Delivery of sessions will be from home or in the community. Travel to office and venues around Lancashire for meetings, occasional national travel for network meetings

The Role:
We’re looking for a bold and caring professional to join us as a Wellbeing Coach. If you have experience of supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing, this could be the job for you!
 
You will deliver predominantly one to one wellbeing coaching with some group support to both adults and young people. Ideally you will have some experience of using coaching and CBT techniques such as guided self-help, psychoeducation and thought challenging.
 
You will have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership with other stakeholders to deliver projects. To excel in the role, you will be able to motivate, inspire and engage a wide range of people and be proactive in your approach. You will be calm, proactive and resilient.

About the role

We’re recruiting for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to steer us in the next stage of our journey. This is an exciting development of an existing role at Overcoming MS and will allow the successful candidate to make the position their own.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering an innovative new digital marketing approach, through the innovation, creation and delivery of projects and activities which increase leads, donations and engagement for Overcoming MS charity.

 Key Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Manager will work across several areas, including:

1. Conversion optimisation

· Increasing our donations and data capture - to enable us to continue the dialogue and create donations from a greater percentage of those who visit our website, or interact with other digital channels.

· Working with our agency partner to optimise key landing pages and signposting for conversion.

2. User journey optimisation

· Helping people find the right content based on data optimisations so that more people find what they need and understand what else the charity could offer them. Using HotJar for insights.

· Automated email journeys - Building customer journeys to support the Program pillars to build deeper relationships with people in our community.

3. Increasing reach and traffic generation

· Testing different low-cost digital reach opportunities.

· Including paid social, referral activities, calls to action across our channels, YouTube SEO and SEM. Working with an agency to optimise journeys from Google Grant, leading to clearly articulated actions (eg donations, sign-ups, click-throughs).

4. Testing to improve results continually 

· Email AB testing - Deliver AB testing to inform future email AB tests.

· Plan AB testing for email marketing projects, for the website, and other projects as needed to improve conversion rates.

5. Digital project management

· Testing new digital versions of courses and tools. Project management of website updates.

6. Campaign support

· Leading, innovating and supporting advocacy, communications and fundraising campaigns as needed to increase reach, engagement and conversions.

7. Gathering community feedback

· Continue the plan to access regular community feedback to influence Hub improvements and other digital channel improvements.

8. Supplier collaboration

· Working with our suppliers to optimise collaboration, reduce cost and increase impact.

About you

Strong digital skills

• A proven track record of managing digital products/projects/programmes which create value for end-users. 
• Strong working knowledge and experience in digital solutions.
• Experience in evaluating and improving existing digital programs.
• Significant experience working with 3rd party digital providers to create solutions that work for the target audience.
• Confident in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Excellent understanding of AB testing to maximise conversion rates.
• Experience in using tools like HotJar (preferred).

Bexley Food Alliance Project Coordinator

The Bexley Food Alliance is a new network which was funded by the GLA to work towards taking pressure off the emergency food aid services and providing increased financial support to Bexley residents. This network has now expanded and aims to build a collaborative network of agencies that can increase fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food, as well as any additional support residents might need. We are looking for a Project Coordinator to take over the day-to-day running of this network (see below for a brief description). This is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to take on a part-time, one-year project, perhaps as a stepping stone into something more significant, or perhaps you’re returning to work or changing careers. This is an opportunity to be at the start of an exciting, innovative partnership project, shaping a network and forming strong alliances with various agencies. 

You will work closely with the VCS within Bexley to build the capacity and capabilities of local groups, provide partnership/networking opportunities that enable them to carry out their own objectives effectively and offer high quality services.

You will work flexibly, applying initiative to provide consistent and seamless support to organisations.  You will support across a variety of charity development but focus on food partnerships and wraparound support to provide more holistic support.

We are positive and proactive and, although absolutely focused on our areas of expertise, we work as a team so that BVSC is the best it can be. Above all, everything we do is to strengthen our local Voluntary and Community Sector.

Key Duties:

• Build and promote positive working relationships between VCS groups and organisations, statutory partners, commissioners and funders.
• Work with a wide range of delivery partners and other key stakeholders to maximise the use of community resources and ensure opportunities are maximised.
• Undertake community and outreach work – particularly to parts of the borough where the VCS voice is less heard.
• Encourage and support groups to seek funding from a range of sources including contracts and grants and provide the necessary support.
• Use our database to keep well maintained records of support given, funding achieved as a result of our support, case studies and outcomes, brief summary reports for monitoring and development purposes.
• To continuously engage in a mapping process, highlighting existing providers and supporting the start-up of new services.
• To organise and facilitate network meetings bringing organisations together to tackle food poverty and offer increased support with additional needs such as financial, physical and mental health wellbeing.
• To build relationships with various organisations, offering diverse support to increase collaboration, new offers and increased support.
• To work closely with the Local Authority to support policy change.
• To build relationships and network outside of the borough to bring in good practice and successful initiatives.
• To attend any relevant training and/or workshops that support the development of the network.
• To increase knowledge and understanding of food poverty and the cost-of-living crisis in general as well as grants and funding opportunities.
• Attend staff meetings, and training as required.
• Identify, report, and monitor any safeguarding concerns in accordance with the latest local procedures relating to the appropriate service.
• To support and work closely with all the teams within BVSC.
•  To comply with, and share responsibility for ensuring the implementation of, BVSC policies and procedures and key legislation such as GDPR and Safeguarding.
• Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be assigned from time to time including travel throughout the borough to attend events, occasionally on evenings/weekends, meet with volunteers and organisations.

These are the normal duties which are required of the position; however, we do require that all staff be flexible and may be required to perform other duties to ensure the efficient running of services. 

Please note that the base for this role is split between the Engine House, Bexley, and Bexley Civic Offices. In addition, the post will involve occasional working from various venues across the borough.

We have a rare opportunity for an exceptional project manager to join us and work with an experienced team on the delivery of a £2m+ project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to improve access, through opportunity and conservation, to the glorious landscape of the River Eden, East Cumbria.

We seek an experienced, delivery-focused individual who can manage staff teams, external partners, finances and project schedules, and communicate effectively with a range of audiences – including at senior organisational level.

The successful candidate will also be passionate about engaging a wider range of people in the natural environment and be a clear and effective written and verbal communicator.  Understanding the multi-faceted water environment and challenges to accessing it will be an advantage but the wider Access to Eden partnership team, who have closely collaborated to make this complex project a reality, will be on hand to assist.

About the project

Access to Eden:breaking barriers, building bridges aims to break down the physical, social and cultural barriers that prevent people from accessing the natural heritage of Eden and build the bridges needed to give them the confidence to enjoy our blue and green spaces. We intend to remove barriers for Eden’s special wildlife, connect habitats and promote nature recovery.

With 13 organisations signed up as part of our partnership, together we will break barriers and build bridges for people AND nature in the Eden Valley, Cumbria.

The clue is in the title. It’s all about making Eden’s rivers and nature more accessible to those who experience the greatest barriers. From opening up doorstep green spaces, promoting walking, cycling, swimming, paddle sports, practical conservation, wildlife surveys, quiet enjoyment … and even virtual enjoyment of the river environment.

Our vision is to see a fully integrated set of accessible activities and conservation opportunities that work for everyone in Eden, Cumbria, contributing to improving the natural heritage along our rivers.

North Bristol & South Gloucestershire (NBSG) Foodbank has operated for 12 years, providing emergency food parcels to people in crisis in the local community. Recently, we have shifted our focus to go beyond food and try to tackle the root causes of food insecurity. One goal of our new strategy is to change minds, change policy and create empathy about poverty. The Campaign Coordinator is responsible for working towards this goal by delivering the Trussell Trust’s (TT) influencing and mobilising work during the General Election (GE). You will do this by building strong relationships with other food banks in the Bristol & South Gloucestershire area. Campaign Coordinators implement TT’s national GE strategy, by using Organising techniques to put pressure on Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs) in each Combined Local Authority.

You will lead local community teams of people who support ending the need for food banks, to secure commitments from your PPCs to ‘prioritise the problem of people going without essentials if re/elected, acknowledging the role social security needs to play in tackling it.’

This role is funded by TT as part of their GE strategy, and you will be part of a network of Campaign Coordinators around the UK doing this work. You will serve as the link between NBSG Foodbank and the Mobilisation team at TT, as we build a movement to end the need for food banks.

• Experience facilitating groups and organising engaging group activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• To build trusted relationships with food banks during (pre and post) UK General Election. You will hold 121 conversations with each food bank in the Bristol & South Gloucestershire area and ensure there is clear communication between the food banks. 

• To support teams of community volunteers. You will have 121’s with: food bank staff, volunteers, partner organisations and stakeholders in each community to develop community bases for your campaign work. 

• To lead effective door-knocking teams in your community.  You will door knock with your community campaign team to drum up support for the campaign, provide members of the public literature on food bank use in their local community, and invite people to their local hustings. 

• To help each of your community campaign teams organise a local hustings.  You will ensure that your community campaign teams: attend national TT webinars, receive national guidance on how to approach PPCs, understand the TT legal GE guidance, understand the logistics of organising a hustings, ensure that the hustings is as accessible as possible and ensure that the voices of people with lived experience are heard through the hustings. 

• To develop good relationships with local press and media outlets. You will work alongside National TT colleagues to find key press and media contacts in your area, ensuring your community campaign teams get coverage for their hard work.

• To deliver the local campaigning strategy working with food bank staff, volunteers and clients.

• To work with the Organising and Local Mobilisation (OLM) team in TT and engage with the training and support on offer, including work with other Campaign Coordinators in the TT network.

• To liaise with the Foodbank Manager regularly, providing updates on campaigns work, coordinating its integration into the entire NBSG team, to ensure the work is sustainable.

We’re looking for someone to support our exectutive office. You'll be someone who is able to provide a high level of professional support to the Chief Executive in the effective management of their calendar, correspondence, as well as committee support of the Board of Trustees and it's subcommittees. Magic Me is one of Arts Council England's National Portfolio Organisations and as we move into the second year of this funding, we're recruiting to the role of Project Manager who will be instrumental in developing new project initiatives, fostering relationships within our Tower Hamlets community, and delivering our established innovative creative care home work in Essex & beyond. 

This post is a 12 month fixed-term contract but we’re working hard with our funding partners to secure the necessary funds to make the post permanent as part of our drive to increase our reach and our impact.

The role

We are looking for someone who wants to start their career in marketing and is interested in learning more about CRMs, email marketing and measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. As part of the King’s Fund’s centralised Marketing function, you’ll be at the heart of giving colleagues and customers a consistent, joined-up experience and play a key role in our marketing strategy. You’ll deal with a spectrum of work, spanning everything from writing and creating compelling copy (for both online and offline marketing activity); diving into our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and managing lists; to pulling together evaluation reports, analysing campaign performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. With support from your manager and rest of the team, it’s a great role to build your expertise and gain valuable marketing experience. 

To join us, you’ll need a keen interest in marketing and a blend of creativity and precision to write clear and compelling copy for marketing materials including email campaigns. You will enjoy communicating with people, both in person and on paper. Attention to detail is important and you will be proficient in Microsoft products including Excel. The Fund is committed to a hybrid working model that meets the organisation’s needs, while giving staff flexibility to choose between office and home working. Most staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% from our central London office and are free to work more days from the office if they prefer. We are in the process of developing our long-term policy on this, although the expected minimum time in the office will remain 40% (pro rata).

• Be a CCAB qualified finance professional with significant post-qualification experience in senior management roles
• Have demonstrable prior experience working in a no.1 Director of Finance or CFO level role
• Be highly experienced managing substantial budgets, resources and funding
• Have an excellent track record of managing and motivating teams, as well as being able to demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills both externally and internally

This role falls inside of IR35, and is advertised on the basis of a hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office).

Content at Unifrog

Whether we are communicating through images, video or text, we always try to be straightforward, honest, and to show respect for the people with whom we are communicating. 

Clear communication is particularly important for us because our mission is to level the playing field when it comes to access to opportunities, and a big part of this effort is fair and straightforward access to information. It’s also important for us to be fun, while not talking down to young people. 

Over the last few years, with only a small and mostly non-specialist team, we have created hundreds of videos aimed at students and teachers. We now have an exciting slate of new video projects that we want to produce. We want to use video: 

• To develop some of the most popular parts of the Unifrog platform, currently used by hundreds of thousands of young people every week to explore different careers, different subjects at university, and topics that matter to them like Climate Change and Wellbeing.

• To help us create brand new tools within the platform, expanding what Unifrog offers to young people, and how we interact with external partners like employers and universities.

We also want to improve the quality of the videos we create, making them slicker and more useful to our users.

What you’ll lead on

As an Assistant Video Editor, your role will be to edit new videos for students aged 11-18. You will also help to keep our existing content up to date and in line with our high standards. Unifrog publishes videos and written content on a variety of topics for students including: applying for university in the UK and overseas, preparing for college or work, and taking care of your wellbeing.

Your key responsibilities:

• Video editing

  • Edit and polish videos for various sections on our platform, including University Profiles, Employer Profiles, and Careers Library Profiles, with a keen eye for detail and quality.

  • Work within assigned deadlines to ensure timely delivery of videos.

  • Mix and equalise interview audio with soundtracks to create a seamless viewing experience for our users.

  • Implement pre-existing video templates and consistently improve them over time to ensure visual consistency across all platform sections.

  • Edit webinars and internal videos to meet platform requirements and user expectations.

• Communication

  • Maintain effective communication with the Video Team, including project managers, producers, and other stakeholders, to ensure that video projects meet the required standards and are delivered on time.

  • Proactively suggest creative and innovative ideas to improve the quality of our videos and enhance the viewing experience for students.

• Quality Control

  • Perform quality checks on all videos before they are published to the platform, ensuring that they meet the required standards for visual and audio quality, accuracy, and completeness.

  • Monitor subtitles generated by in-house subtitling software and performing a complete quality-check before making the video live on the platform

Working together

You’ll be managed by our Post Production Manager, and work closely with an in-house Video Producer/Director and Video Editor. You will also work with our partner-facing teams, as well as with external bodies where necessary.

The Video Team is part of a wider Content Team, where we often brainstorm new ideas as a group, provide feedback on each other’s work, and get feedback from teachers and students at our partner schools. We promote good ideas regardless of where they come from.

What we’re looking for

• Excellent technical skills

  • You need to be highly proficient at using Adobe Premiere to edit your projects as well as a basic understanding of After Effects.

  • Basic understanding of audio editing software to sound-mix and equalise interviews with soundtracks.

• Strong planning and organising skills

  • You will need to be able to prioritise your workload and manage competing demands, and ensure that upcoming shoots are prepared for.

• Effective and efficient at managing media

• Self aware and able to respond effectively to feedback

• Ability to take direction and follow project briefs

• Proactive nature and self-starter attitude

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Keen attention to detail, ensuring videos are edited to a high standard

• We will share with you examples of our visual style, plus some footage we have shot, and you will have a week to send us a short edit back.

• Given the time this task can take, we will send £60 to people who participate in this round (within 1-2 working days after the task has been received).

  • Standard Q&A from a panel of three, including questions about your experiences and how these relate to the role, and scenario questions based on common situations you might face (plus time for your questions).

About the post - Hybrid working

nia is now entering the next phase of our work to become an Anti-Racist organisation and we are seeking a Development Officer to support us with this next stage. The Anti-Racism Development Officer will play a key role in the delivery of the Anti-Racism action plan and in embedding Anti-Racist practices across the organisation

Part of the role includes Co-ordination of nia’s Anti-Racism Working Group to co-produce tangible outcomes; harnessing the expertise of those most impacted by racism and embedding an Anti-Racist framework across the organisation.
