The Programme Coordinator role 

Due to the exciting expansion of our programmes we are seeking a new team member to support our next year of growth and delivery.

In this role you will provide crucial customer service and administration to support the delivery of our inspiring employability and skills-focused workshops in schools.

Hybrid working

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. You do not need to live in London to apply for this role, but you will need to consider what you feel is a reasonable commuting distance for the team days in London.

• Grant funding – you will have a strong track record of identifying, securing and monitoring grant funding.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is an Anglican centre of Pilgrimage in North Norfolk which traces its roots back to the vision of the Lady Richeldis in 1061. General

The Shrine employs around 75 members of staff and every year it welcomes a steady stream of volunteers who offer help in return for board and lodging.

There are 137 bedrooms on site and around 10,500 pilgrims come each year for a residential pilgrimage typically lasting two to three nights. Meals are provided in the Pilgrim Refectory which can seat around 200 residents and produces up to 85,000 meals a year. In addition, the Shrine welcomes a good number of day pilgrims per year.

As well as the pilgrimage programme, which is run at weekends and midweek, each year the Shrine runs a series of special events and retreats. There is an important outreach to young pilgrims which is headed up by the Director of Education. This includes educational visits from schools and a range of events for different ages, the most ambitious of which is the annual Youth Pilgrimage.

Within the beautiful gardens there is a Cafe Bar which is open to pilgrims, tourists and visitors. The Shrine Shop is situated in the heart of the village and offers a wide selection of religious items and gifts.

Working Arrangements and Travel Requirements

Rainforest Trust UK staff work remotely and you will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection. You may be based anywhere in the UK but you will be expected to work from a shared team space in London once a month, and your donor meetings/events are most likely to take place there.

The postholder will be required to host networking events and attend some online meetings with our partners in the U.S so some (early) evening working is required. We are also flexible as to how many hours this postholder works, and will consider a 3-5 day per week arrangement, depending on experience.

Unpaid Carers Support Southampton (UCSS) is a small team, working within Citizens Advice Southampton. There are an estimated 18,000 unpaid carers in Southampton: people who care for another adult due to illness or disability. Common examples might be a husband who cares for his wife who has dementia; a daughter who cares for her father who has Multiple Sclerosis; a brother who cares for his sister who has a learning difficulty.

The Role

The post holder will be part of a small team who have a shared interest in making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers throughout Southampton city. The post holder will offer front line support to unpaid carers. This will mainly be undertaken by phone, with some face-to-face work, and include carers assessments and reviews (training will be provided).They will actively listen to carers and provide them with information, advice, and support to enable them to continue living their lives to the fullest and reduce any negative impacts of their caring role. The post holder will also deliver some ‘outreach’ in the city. This might involve attending groups to talk to carers and raise awareness. They will be expected to assist with the planning and delivery of carer events eg. monthly carers lunches, and carry out other reasonable tasks in order to support Southampton’s unpaid carers.

This role is subject to a basic DBS check.

The Mark Evison Foundation is a charity working in London state schools promoting the personal development of young people through challenge. We invite and mentor non-academic proposals for challenge from 17 year olds. It is exciting work, bringing out the best in young people.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join this fast-growing charity at an exciting time and make a significant impact as our first Development Director. You will be responsible for our fundraising strategy and setting up and professionalising our fundraising function. You will have the backing of a committed group of Trustees and volunteers who are eager to help and support your work. You will also be responsible for fundraising for the MEF across several areas, and for developing funding initiatives for our future.

Responsibilities and Duties 

• To establish a fundraising strategy and ensure fundraising compliance.
• To generate income from individual donors at the low, mid and major gift level. To support the Executive Trustee steward existing, and cultivate new, major donors.
• To research and develop a trust and foundation pipeline and prepare and submit grant applications and draft progress reports
• To grow our income and diversify our donor pool through targeted campaigns
• To grow our network – including influencers and organisations that can help to raise our profile
• To ensure appropriate stewardship processes are in place so that donors at all levels feel well thanked and informed of their impact.
• To grow our presence amongst small to medium businesses, London schools and local residents
• To build partnerships with businesses to extend our profile and find new funding opportunities
• To effectively engage schools and businesses to support the Foundation, to raise awareness and help raise funds
• To liaise with the team on a regular basis to explore better community engagement, local connections, and fundraising opportunities
• To report regularly to the Board on income, prospects, and strategic objectives in alignment with our objectives
• To help foster a positive culture of fundraising across the organisation

Fundraising Manager (Community & Corporate)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fundraising Manager to join a small, friendly and expanding fundraising team.

Position: Fundraising Manager

Location: Oxford/Hybrid

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE, Pro rata

Contract: Part-time, 21 hours per week

About the role

This is an exciting time for the organisation. They have a new Head of Fundraising, and a very successful Trusts & Grants fundraiser and are now looking to expand the fundraising team to complement the current skills and expertise and strengthen the relationship with supporters.

You will have the opportunity to build relationships with community organisations and corporate partners who fundraise and donate so generously to the organisation to help support young people through grief.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for engaging and inspiring the communities around us to support the charity and build awareness of the work they do.

• Grow the existing corporate partnerships and develop new ones.

• Deliver activity to maximise funds from the Oxfordshire community, including schools and community groups.

• Building positive and long-term relationships with community partners via face to face, telephone and email communications.

• Create presentations on the organisations work and impact, to deliver to community groups.

• Support our partnerships within the community to involve them with event fundraising opportunities and activities.

• Manage a small portfolio of fundraising events and community initiatives, including third-party events and challenges, to maximise income and grow our supporter base.

• Responsible for recruiting, supporting and stewarding fundraising volunteers.

• Optimise the supporter experience of those who fundraise for the charity to deliver agreed objectives and income targets.

About you

As the Fundraising Manager, you will have previous experience in a Community and or Corporate fundraising role, will love developing relationships and can inspire others to act.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience of creating and managing great supporter relationships to deliver agreed objectives and income targets.

• Demonstrable understanding of supporter care.

• Comfortable working with CRM databases and standard Microsoft Office software.

• Effective communication with a range of different people and organisations, both face to face and over telephone.

• Excellent oral and written English and ability to present effectively to a range of audiences.

• The ability to inspire and persuade through sensitive communications, to rally support and advocate for the needs of our service users.

• Ability to drive and have access to a car.

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising strategy. You will work closely with our CEO and Fundraising Officer to raise funds from a range of sources to support our work with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. You will also ensure that LRMN has positive relationships with funders and line manager the Fundraising Officer.
