We have a fantastic opportunity for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our growing Clinical Services team.
Working Pattern – 37.5 hours worked over 43 weeks per year (term time).Part time hours will be considered.
Salary - £39,327 (pro-rated to £37,579 based on number of weeks worked).
Location – Liverpool and surrounding areas.
Reports to – External Therapies Lead
You will join our dynamic multidisciplinary team working to provide consultancy, training, advice and direct therapy interventions for pupils and staff to primarily mainstream schools on an outreach basis. Supported by our Highly Specialist Therapist and External Therapies Lead you will contribute to service evaluation and data collection ensuring interventions are evidence-based and professional guidelines are met.
You will provide specialist advice, consultation and training to children, young people, their families, carers, and staff within school, assessing when there is a need for onward referral of students. You will provide data and evidence to support the External Therapies lead/Team lead to evaluate and report back to stakeholders on contract outcomes. Part of your role will be managing the appraisal and supervision of junior colleagues within the occupational therapy team.
What can you bring to the team……………
- Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy including member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists with current registration with the Health Care Professionals Council as fit to work in the UK.
- Knowledge of embedding therapy into learning activities.
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Conditions.
- Experience of working in mainstream school settings, devising, and delivering training using various outcome measurement tools and assessments.
- Experience of working with young people with complex needs including learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Conditions.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to relate well to parents, carers and school teams as well as manage own case load and work autonomously.

We are a UK charity supporting children in care and people with disabilities, autism and complex needs in the North West.
The Mental Health IDVA will be employed by FearFree to develop pathways and processes for the Mental Health IDVA working in tandem with staff from Devon Partnership Trust to identify both patients and staff who are currently experiencing Domestic Abuse.
The Mental Health IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service embedded within DPT to ensure all staff are aware of Domestic Abuse, and equipped to ask the right questions and encourage both patients and staff to engage with the support the Mental Health IDVA will bring to this environment.
The post holder will assist health practitioners to respond more effectively to domestic abuse, particularly those with complex and multiple needs, and will bring specialist knowledge and skills in empowering clients to seek the right support, and move forward.
The work will include providing specialist knowledge and expertise to other health care practitioners to ensure victims of domestic abuse (and their children) are safeguarded from further harm, to provide a strong partnership approach to service provision.
Priority will be given to medium and high risk cases that are employees and patients of DPT – those who do not live in Exeter/Mid Devon area to be sign-posted to specialist support within FearFree Devon, or referred to partner NDADA if living in North Devon. To work with all victims of abuse (male or female) who are currently registered with formal DPT support.
Key elements of the role include:
· Providing priority support to both patients and staff at the hospital.
· Delivering Domestic Abuse training to all staff at the hospital equipping them to recognise all forms of Domestic Abuse and ensuring they are confident in starting those conversations, and seeking additional support from the Mental Health IDVA.
· Risk assessing and helping to keep service users safe through safety planning.
· Enabling victims to access and engage with statutory and other services.
· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.
· Managing a caseload of medium to high-risk victims and working proactively to support them and their families.
· Develop and maintain working relationships with additional services relevant to this field.
· Ensure services and resources are appropriate and tailored to services users needs.
· Support the relationship build between client and statutory services.
Key Responsibilities:
· Hold a caseload and provide high-quality telephone and face to face crisis intervention, information, advocacy and support to both staff and patients at the hospital who have been identified as victims of Domestic Abuse.
· Proactively assess the needs and risks of clients regularly in line with FearFree policies and procedures, having full regard for case management, MARAC and safeguarding adults and children policies and procedures.
· Complete risk and safety plans for all clients, ensuring risk management and safety is at the heart of everything we do in line with company standards.
· Ensure all records comply with compliance and quality standards and information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner
· Engage with all relevant support agencies, acting as the “voice” of both staff and patient victims to seek support to address specific identified barriers.
· Support all caseload to access external support and sign-post where appropriate to enable caseload to engage with other organisations who can support them on their road to recovery.
· Work proactively to raise awareness of Domestic Abuse and upskill all staff within the hospital to be able to identify potential Domestic Abuse, and seek support from the Mental Health IDVA.
· Attend regular safeguarding and domestic abuse meetings within DPT and health related settings to discuss active cases as required by the manager.
· Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children of the client and ensure that any risks/needs identified are addressed directly with them, having full regard to Safeguarding Children’s policy and complying with the Local Safeguarding Children requirements.
· Advise clients of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, making referrals, attending appointments with them when required, co-ordinating the provision of multi-agency support where necessary, and proactively advocating to ensure barriers to accessing support and protection are reduced.
· Proactively look for and implement innovative and creative ways of engaging vulnerable and hard to reach victims, particularly those with multiple needs, and sustain the engagement.
· Participate in multi-agency conferences and meetings in respect of children and adults at risk as required, providing reports and undertaking actions as necessary.
· Work in partnership with key agencies, particularly with external support agencies, to ensure effective joint working.
· At all times protect the safety and security of service users, staff, volunteers and buildings, and the confidentiality of records and other information in line with data protection requirements.
· To be flexible with meeting clients which may involve working outside of normal working hours.
· Produce data, reports, evaluations and undertake research, as requested and directed by the Manager.
General
· Remain up to date and concordant with organisational procedures, policies and professional code of conduct, upholding standards of best practice.
· Attend and contribute to team meetings.

About the Service

About the Role
This role will provide individualised, one to one support to young people, aged 14-17 who are currently experiencing difficulty with their mental health and wellbeing.
This post holder will be working closely with clinical colleagues in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team offering hybrid in person and online support. The post holder will also be responsible for the development of pathways which enables young people to access services offered by the Voluntary and Community sector.
The post holder will ensure they have a good understanding of the services on offer by the Voluntary and Community sector, and other agencies, and will work with individuals to help them access services of their choice.
The Youth Mental Health Navigator will offer mental health and wellbeing support in a safe and enabling service, supporting young people to explore their challenges and identify positive mental health coping strategies, resilience skills, distress tolerance and a solution focused approach to recovery that will help to future proof against potential repeated incidences of poor mental health.

- implement effective ways of working with male victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm

The Tenancy & Contributions Officer will lead on the delivery and continuing evolution of the tenancy agreement (known as the In-Pensioner Agreement). Part of the delivery of the agreement will be coordinating the process of setting and reviewing In-Pensioner’s personal financial contribution to the Royal Hospital. Mind in Croydon is a charity concerned with the welfare of people with mental health problems living in the London Borough of Croydon and the surrounding areas. Mind in Croydon delivers Mental Health Transformation Program services alongside Croydon BME Forum, these include Croydon Health and Wellbeing Space and Mental Health Personal Independence Coordinators. Other services include Recovery Space, Advocacy, Active Minds, Carers Support, Peer Support In-Reach, Social Networking, Counselling, and an Information Service.
This exciting role will manage the provision of a non-clinical Recovery Space (crisis café) funded by South London Partnership Commissioning. This project operates in the day and evenings, people are referred by our Trusted Assessors in various Teams such as Croydon University Hospital, Psychiatric Liaison, Assessment and Liaison, Croydon College, Home Treatment Team and others.
The aim of the service is to divert people, who would be better supported elsewhere, away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and towards services that can support with their immediate crisis within the Borough of Croydon. The Recovery Space Service Manager leads this service which is non-clinical but a warm and welcoming setting to support and hold individuals during the day and evening. The Recovery Space service referrals will not be accepted after 10pm for attendance at night.
The role will work closely at senior operational level with external partners, clinical, commissioning, and voluntary sector organisations to plan, develop and promote the highest quality service. They will manage a team of nine staff, three are Crisis Workers, operating a day service, one outreach crisis worker also operating during the day and five Recovery Space Workers in the evening. The role will need to produce reports, develop, and implement policies and procedures in line with best practice and to ensure the service is making a difference to people’s lives. The role will work with other service managers including those managers within the Transformation services to ensure a One Team approach to provide an effective and efficient service for clients.

The Role
As their Night Porter, you will undertake a varied range of tasks on the night shift and not one shift is the same as you will be involved in directly responding and helping young people with any issues or concerns they may have, whilst also managing the site, conducting safety checks and operating surveillance of the building. Other duties may include but are not limited to:
- Booking residents and visitors in and out of the building and log all relevant information.
