As the Director of Fundraising, you will develop and lead fundraising strategy to diversify and transform the funding of Speakers for Schools. With an initial focus on growing income from high value income streams including, individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners, this role will work with the Fundraising Team to build long term relationships in these areas. As part of the senior leadership team, this role will bring innovation to fundraising strategy and be an advocate for income generation.

To be successful as the Director of Fundraising, this person will have proven experience of leading teams and fundraising strategy delivery. They will have a good breadth of experience of securing income across various income streams, but particularly major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnerships. This person will be confident in creating meaningful relationships both with donors and internally with other senior leaders and trustees.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will be remote with occasional travel to London. The salary for this position is £75,000 to £80,000.

Residential Care Home Manager (Mental Health)

Our client is a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. They are currently looking for an experienced Residential Care Home Manager to join their forward thinking and innovative team. 

Their care home can accommodate up to fifteen residents either male or female. They provide an environment that focuses on fast-track rehabilitation for a period up to 18 months for adults who have been referred from an in-patient forensic mental health setting.

In this post, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Registered Care Home, in line with the standards set by the Care Quality Commission, and their funders.

You will ensure that the appropriate level of provision of services to service users is maintained. Leading a skilled team, you will take responsibility for the assessment of peoples’ skills, needs, and wishes, and the coordination of support packages, with the twin objectives of creating conditions conducive to recovery, and improving service user’s ability to lead an ordinary life and to be part of their community.

The successful candidate will have previous management / supervisory experience in the care field and an NVQ Level 3 in Care and an equivalent Management qualification. You must be committed to recovery-based practice and able to demonstrate a positive and enabling attitude towards people recovering from severe mental distress.

Homeless Support Worker

37 hours a week - Working a 7 week rolling rota with a mix of early (7am to 3.30pm), mid (9am-50pm) and late (12pm - 8pm) shifts.  

Our client supports people who are homelessness across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. This is a new service that starts in June, so this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the set up and implementation of this team.

Their team will be providing intensive, one to one support to enable clients to maintain their accommodation and achieve their goals.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

• You will have your own caseload of clients to support and will work with them on a one to one basis out in the community and in the clients homes.

• You will be conscientious in areas such as safeguarding and lone working

• You will challenge harmful behaviours and play an active role in encouraging people to come inside from the street, or to play an active part in sustaining their accommodation

You will deliver a person-centred recovery approach, in groups or on an individual basis, that focuses on developing, maintaining and strengthening their skills and abilities. Ultimately you will support service users to attain independence in daily living skills in agreement with their individual needs and personal plans, achieving successful outcomes and promoting moving on. 

They are looking for mental health professionals with experience of assessing and constructing care plans that support people to be in control of their lives. It is essential that you have an empathy for people experiencing mental health issues and are committed to service user involvement and empowerment. As the Senior Recovery Navigator, you will be responsible, alongside the management team of the service, for ensuring good practice is maintained and promoted. You will have a role assisting with the supervisions/personal development systems of staff, but you are also a core part of the team working the rota and providing support, taking the shift lead. About the role

As the Senior Philanthropy Lead at Bookmark, you will work with the Head of Fundraising to manage and grow our philanthropy portfolio within the wider strategy. You will lead a team of three to deliver on the fundraising strategy, line managing both the Philanthropy Manager and Senior Fundraising Executive. Your role will involve proactively researching and identifying new potential Bookmark major donors and working with trustees, staff, and the Partnerships Board to build a robust pipeline of supporters and secure introductions.

You will own and build a portfolio of new major donors through the full donor cycle who give £25,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey. You will create compelling, relevant, and tailored funding proposals, reports, and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark's strong brand. You will lead on the Philanthropy events strategy and program, providing support to the Philanthropy Manager and wider team in delivering income-generating, cultivation, and stewardship events.

In addition, you will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to ensure opportunities to maximize income for the fundraising team. You will devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity's strategic objectives. You will use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of major donor income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have a successful track record in high-value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts to meet or exceed targets. You must have experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development, and managing their performance to achieve results. Ideally, you will have experience developing and managing a calendar of successful charity events that meet fundraising targets and managing or working with a fundraising board or high-value committee. You should have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate and experience writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a major donor audience.

You should be experienced in growing and managing a pipeline, planning for your portfolio, and increasing income.

The Philanthropy Manager will lead on the development and delivery of a new philanthropy programme, which will include developing tailored stewardship programmes for HNWIs, expanding the donor base through effective prospecting and cultivation, working with campaign teams to develop donor funding propositions and embedding effective systems to process and support growth in philanthropy.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will: 

• Develop a tailored stewardship programme for 5 and 6-figure level donors
• Work with campaign teams and the wider fundraising team to develop funding propositions for HNWI and a Case for Support for the different areas of EIA’s work
• Work with the support of the Head of Fundraising, embed effective systems and processes to support the growth in philanthropy
• Conduct regular prospecting and cultivation to identify new potential supporters

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Significant experience of identifying and cultivating relationships with high value supporters and securing significant gifts
• Considerable experience of developing and communicating high value funding propositions and writing compelling cases for support and applications
• Strong verbal communication skills, confident in communicating effectively and passionately with supporters, team members across EIA and senior stakeholders
• Commitment to the EIA values, work and support of wildlife trade and environmental issues

Reporting to the Development Services Manager and collaborating across the DARO team, the Development Services Officer will work closely with an external research consultant and will use DARO’s CRM system and publicly available information, to identification, present, qualify and report on individuals and organisations with the capacity to become major donors to the University.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to carry out desk-based research and due diligence as well as reporting the results with appropriate recommendations in high quality written reports and in conversation with the DARO team. Understanding the principles of prospect research in a fundraising or sales setting will be essential.

The Position:

Key Purpose
