PETA Netherlands Membership Coordinator (part-time)

Position Objectives:

• To assist the international membership services manager in providing a high level of care to PETA’s members and supporters
• To coordinate responses to correspondence from members and supporters in Dutch and English, including phone calls, e-mails, and letters
• To provide PETA Netherlands with general administrative support

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure that all member and supporter contact (letter, e-mail and phone) is handled in a timely, professional, and efficient manner that reflects the organisation’s positions and values, and that outgoing correspondence contains up-to-date information
• Handle incoming member and supporter phone calls
• Translate correspondence from English to Dutch and from Dutch to English
• Verify donor details and input relevant data into the membership database
• Maintain a stock of PETA literature and fulfil supporter requests for leaflets, stickers, and other materials, working with external agencies when necessary
• Process invoices, prepare cheque requests, and liaise with the PETA Foundation’s Finance Department
• Liaise with external agencies as necessary – and as directed by the international membership services manager – in order to resolve any supporter issues
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming post and faxes in a prompt manner, responding and forwarding mail to other agencies as appropriate
• Perform general administrative tasks to support PETA Netherlands

Job Summary 

The post holder provides support to the Head of Chancery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality ceremonial events that reflects the values, traditions and customs of the Order of St John. The role contributes and support the charity’s strategy as an enabling function in line with our ‘Thriving People’ aim, through the delivery of events which celebrate our people and their achievements and help to foster a sense of belonging. 

This role supports the planning, management and delivery of a range of events from our annual St John’s Day celebrations, Investitures, other services held in the Priory Church and our involvement in national ceremonial occasions (such as Remembrance).

This role demands a strong attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritise complex workloads and excellent communication skills. You will have experience in event planning and delivery, preferably with a background in managing ceremonial events, and a proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.   

About You

You will be educated to Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) including Maths & English, you will have experience of planning and delivering highly complicated ceremonial events, experience of planning and delivering highly complicated ceremonial events in the context of an Order of Chivalry and excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence effectively at all levels.

 About the Role

• Working closely with the Head of Chancery and key stakeholders to plan, manage and deliver a range of ceremonial and formal events.
• To support the Head of Chancery by undertaking detailed planning, preparation and delivery of the Priory’s major ceremonial occasions and other occasions (such as memorial services) as necessary. This will include diligent preparation of event plans and order of service, management of invitation lists and attendance, liaison with venues and external partners, budget management and delivering briefings.
• To support the St John International Office, the dependent Commanderies and the other UK Priories with the planning and delivery of their ceremonial occasions as required.

Role Overview

The Outreach Manager will work closely with the CEO to lead and coordinate the charity’s frontline outreach work, particularly focusing on mental health support and domestic abuse response.

Role Purpose

The Charity Administrator is responsible for governance support, HR operations, organisational systems, compliance, and internal processes. The role ensures the charity’s operational infrastructure runs smoothly and supports the staff and volunteer team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Governance and Compliance

We are recruiting for a Temporary Direct marketing Lead for a medical support charity.
