As our new SEO Manager, you’ll lead a strategic shift in how we grow the visibility and reach of our digital content across search engines and AI-powered platforms. This is a key role in helping us connect with more people, drive engagement, and support our mission to save and improve lives.

- Leading the development and delivery of BHF’s SEO strategy to boost organic visibility, drive engagement, and support fundraising and awareness goals.

About you
You’ll bring a strong track record of improving organic performance for large websites, with experience of developing and implementing SEO strategies that respond to the evolving search landscape including mitigating traffic loss from AI-generated content.
You’re confident using a range of SEO tools (such as GA4, Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog) to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and use insights to inform decision-making. You also have experience working with cross-functional teams to align SEO with broader digital and organisational goals.
You have a solid grasp of digital PR, link-building, and local SEO strategies, and understand how these areas are shifting in response to generative AI and changing search behaviours.
In addition, you’ll bring:
- A deep understanding of SEO principles, including technical SEO and on-page optimisation, with experience implementing changes through a CMS.
- Experience conducting thorough keyword research, competitor analysis, and reporting on performance including setting and tracking KPIs.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present insights and strategies clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Knowledge of how content, UX, and technical elements such as site architecture, page speed, and mobile optimisation impact SEO, and the ability to use this insight to make informed decisions and recommendations.

Working arrangements

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to manage our two Carlisle Extra Care services, Heysham Gardens and Burnside Court are both well established, well regarded services. Both services have a vibrant and established care team providing compassionate support to older adults. The services always ensure support cover is in place during the day and operates waking night support to clients should they need it. The service is registered with the CQC as delivering Personal Care and has good systems and processes in place to ensure that a quality service is delivered consistently. You will need to fulfil the role of registered manager with the CQC for this service and meet the expectations of the local authority commissioners and the contract that unpins the service which holds a ‘Good’ rating with the Care and Quality Commission.
You will have the values and commitment to lead the staff team to provide the highest standards of customer care and person-centred service delivery and to promote independence, choice and wellbeing. The role will involve the operational management of the service and the direct supervision of a Deputy Manager and Support Workers.
You will be expected to work effectively with families and other agencies and to maintain a positive and trusting relationship with the on-site Housing Scheme Managers. You will need skills in contract and relationship management. You will undertake quality assurance checks at the service to ensure compliance with essential standards of care, this is a busy service and therefore you will need to be hard working, accountable and have strong organisational skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with other agencies to provide a holistic and joined up approach for meeting the needs of older adults. You will respond to referrals, undertake assessments and take part in allocation processes. You will ensure that each person moving into the service has a personalised care plan which ensures that their needs and preferences are met.
You will have relevant skills, knowledge and at least three years management experience gained in the care and support of older people in settings such as extra care, home care or residential care. You will have previous experience of staff supervision and management. Your New Role
The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead is responsible for overseeing income generation from corporate partners and growing high-value support from major donors to fund the vital work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
This newly created role will develop and implement strategies and plans across two areas:
