We’re looking for a dedicated Psychotherapist/Counselling Psychologist to provide psychological support and therapy, including group and individual work, across a number of hostels in the Camden Adult Pathway, working as part of the Women’s Safe Space Project. The team works with women experiencing multiple disadvantage, trauma and homelessness who might otherwise struggle to access support. Support needs might include alcohol/substance use, VAWG, domestic abuse and sexual exploitation.

You’ll also be responsible for co-developing and delivering a program of psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapeutic support to women in the Adult Pathway that might otherwise be excluded from traditional therapeutic services. The approach will be flexible and clients centered. This will involve one to one therapy and may include psychoeducational groups and delivering training to staff teams. In Camden and St Mungo’s our staff teams have predominantly been trained in Psychologically Informed Environments but Safe Space also recognises Trauma Informed Care as a useful framework for this project.

In order to be effective in this role, you’ll need to establish and maintain close and effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary services. You will need to be registered and accredited with UKCP / BACP or HCPC / BPS following the completion of a psychotherapeutic/psychology training. We are looking for someone who has proven experience of using a range of psychological interventions with people living with current and historic complex trauma, experience of working psychotherapeutically with people with alcohol and/or substance dependencies and a good knowledge of VAWG. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to convey complex concepts in straightforward language and to form strong working relationships with the team and service users.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical practitioner to develop a new approach to working with women experiencing multiple disadvantage as well as developing their own therapeutic skills within a vibrant and innovative project.

About the role:

We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. The Head of Operations will be a collaborative and hands-on professional with project and people management skills, a track record of operational change management, and the ability to inspire colleagues in new ways of working that ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Foundation - driving system, quality and process improvements.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Working with the CEO to deliver effective day-to-day operations for the organisation, managing the Operational Excellence Workstream and our approach to Quality.
• Oversee HR, culture and people function, including recruitment, retention, performance evaluation, employee learning & development, working with our external HR advisors when required.
• Promote a culture of equity, inclusion and collaboration, nurturing a positive and supportive environment for all.
• Embed cross-team working, building key relationships and highlighting synergies across our working practices to deliver efficiencies and improvements.

• Lead on the management and implementation of safeguarding - ensuring appropriate policies, training and guidance are regularly reviewed.

• Oversee cyber security and coordinate IT support services, including the Foundation’s IT and digital platforms – maintaining licenses, agreements and contracts.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience include:

• Previous experience in a Senior Operations management role, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit setting
• Strong leadership qualities to lead operations and fulfil an executive function
• Reliable with a high level of discretion and integrity – able to deal with sensitive and confidential matters

NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice and support to young people in relation to drug and alcohol use.

Do you have substantial experience of working with men to support them to address their abusive behaviour and/or with women experiencing domestic abuse and expertise in assessment? DVIP, a division of Richmond Fellowship, seeks an interim Service Manager for the family court’s team on a fixed term (parental leave) contract. DVIP has pioneered group work with men who use violence in their relationships for 30 years, and we are a RESPECT accredited provider.

The family court’s team comprises of a small in-house team and freelance expert witnesses who undertake assessments of parents in care proceedings. We have an excellent reputation for delivering high quality, robust reports to local authorities to inform safeguarding plans for children subject to the public law outline (PLO).

As Service Manager you’ll provide high quality supervision and proofing to our expert witnesses on their reports. You have experience of giving evidence in care proceedings and supporting others to do so. You will be expected to complete 2-6 expert reports per year, which can include being called to give evidence.

You will manage a budget and be responsible for ensuring payment of our invoices with the support of our administrator. You will also supervise our administrator and in house expert risk assessor and have access to monthly clinical supervision to explore the impact of what is challenging and emotive work.

To join us you must be educated to degree/post graduate level in Social Work, Criminology, and or Psychology. Membership of a professional body like HCPC and or Social Work England is desirable. You will need a minimum of 7 years’ experience working with survivors and perpetrators in treatment settings, a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and research pertaining to safeguarding children with a lived experience of domestic abuse. To be eligible you must meet Practice Direction 25b.

Service is based in Holloway Road London, but there is flexibility to work from home provided service requirements are met. This post can be done either full time, 37.5 hours a week, or part-time.

Mental Health Homelessness Outreach Team Leader

About the Service

This is a pilot service working as a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs. The Complex Needs Housing Team Leader plays a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Complex Needs Housing Service are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
• To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health with positive outcomes for the individual.
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
• To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) consisting of Change Grow Live (CGL), District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

This role is key to the development and support of the team and the wider organisation. 

The post holder will need to:

• Support the Services Manager with effective running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.
• Provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health.
• Line manage staff and where necessary volunteers.
• Lead a team of Mental Health Outreach Workers. Ensuring the team are using databases and outcome tools as required to report for the project.

Key Responsibilities

• To receive and process referrals from the local district and borough Councils for those who have presented as homeless with a mental health need, as well as other appropriate referrals pathways across Hertfordshire and make direct contact within 72 hours of referral.
• To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working.
• To manage a caseload of up to 5 clients.
• Embed a holistic, trauma informed and person-centred service
• Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
• Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
• Ensure all person-centred risk assessments and support plans are completed as appropriate.
• To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, drug and alcohol services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
• To work with partners both internal and external to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated in order to promote community safety.
• Support clients to build their emotional resilience and crisis planning tools, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
• To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
• Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer-term needs.
• Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our Herts Mind Network Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.

Do you have experience working with families and children aged 0-13, a good understanding of the needs of vulnerable families and a relevant vocational or academic qualification?

Welcare is recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to deliver a broad-based preventative support service for families with children up to the age of 13 in partnership with schools, churches, the local authority and other agencies, in the London boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.  Local knowledge of Bromley and Greenwich areas would be an advantage.

General Duties:

1. To promote the programmes of work and manage the external and internal referral process including the assessment of need, risk and safeguarding concerns.

2. Hold a caseload of 4 families delivering “whole family” or targeted interventions.

3. Lead and facilitate community group work programmes including 6 #CapeAbility in Schools programme which aims to build resilience and self-esteem for children in key stage 2.

4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.

5. Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you work with directly and take appropriate action if escalation is needed.

6. To provide practical and emotional support to families or advocacy and signposting to specialist and universal services where appropriate.

7. Ensuring that the voices and views of children and young people are sought, heard and represented appropriately.

8. Attend designated meetings with multi-agency professionals and act as lead professional where appropriate to support the Team Around the Child/Family or Early Help Assessment (EHA).

We are looking to appoint a Programme Project Lead who will be responsible for the day to day development and management of the Kentown Children’s Palliative Care Programme.

Reporting to the Director of Care and based at our Kentown Care Team office in Lancaster, you will work in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, specifically Together for Short Lives to lead the project and to raise awareness of the programme and of children’s palliative care.

You will take responsibility for delivering a high-quality family support service, managing the Kentown Family Support Team and will be a member of the Rainbow Trust Care Managers group, contributing to service development across the wider organisation and providing management and leadership to the team in relation to all safeguarding issues.

Having worked within the community, you have a commitment to working in partnership with children, young people and their families, developing, monitoring and delivering service outcomes and building and maintaining successful professional partnerships to ensure the service is accessible to relevant families.

What we’re looking for:

· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who understand the impact on family dynamics of having a child/young person with a life threatening or terminal illness and those who have worked in bereavement support.

· An experience project manager – you recognise the importance of effective partnership working to successfully lead a project of scale and importance

· A poised and convincing communicator - you will maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including families, referrers, partners and other statutory, private and voluntary agencies.

· Comfortable with a changing environment - you will thrive working at a fast pace and controlling tasks from conception to completion and understand that quickly connecting with people is essential.

· A persuasive, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly – with a warm and friendly working style.

· Strong networking skills and confident use of MS Office - Educated to A-level (or equivalent) with a project management qualification.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join us to develop and implement service wide standards and frameworks, to maintain and strengthen our demonstrable clinical excellence. We are looking for a Clinical Lead to join our experienced and supportive counselling team to coordinate and deliver an innovative and clinically excellent mental health and wellbeing service. You will provide dynamic leadership; motivating and inspiring clinical practitioners in our Dialogue service to ensure the highest quality counselling service is delivered to children and young people.

In delivering the role, you will work closely with the Service Manager and Head of Service, to provide and oversee operational clinical governance including responsibility for Reflective Practice and Clinical Supervision across the service, holding a caseload and providing clear direction and support for our stakeholders. and enhancing our offer to Young People, their carers and families.

You will have good communication and facilitation skills and the ability to successfully manage challenging and changing priorities whilst remaining calm and solution focused. In addition, you will have experience of overseeing safeguarding procedures for young people or adults at risk and be an accredited member of a recognised Counselling and or Psychotherapy regulatory body.
