Our newly launched Deforestation Action Tracker monitors financial institutions with significant climate commitments to track their action on deforestation and associated human rights abuses. 

This newly created role will be part of our Corporate Performance team and will lead on the next phase of a groundbreaking project.This role sits under the Forest IQ team, along with two researchers and the Forest IQ Lead. This role will support the operational smooth running of the team, with a particular focus contracting and onboarding Forest IQ’s users. 

Forest IQ provides major data-service providers and financial institutions with market-leading data about corporate performance on deforestation, conversion of natural ecosystems and associated human rights abuses. This will enable financial institutions to identify risks and opportunities to help them to deliver deforestation free portfolios by 2025.

MLC Partners are partnering with a prestigious Charity based in South-East London, to recruit an experienced Finance Systems Consultant (interim).

This position will play a pivotal role in researching and implementing a new financial system, working closely with the Finance Director and team to automate and modernize internal controls and processes.

This is a full-time position, working hybrid (3days/week in the office), and will be an initial 6month interim position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the charities current finance system, and internal controls and processes
• Research, develop and implement a new finance system, with a strong focus on optimising finance operations, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the finance system with other business functions, ensuring seamless operations and data integrity

Key criteria:

• Professional Finance qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
• Proven experience and success in finance systems implementation and process improvement
• Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester Dioceses are working towards reaching Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and to incorporate sustainable working practices across all its operations. Two thirds of the RNLI’s operations are funded from legacies, and we are looking for the right individual to lead the Legacy Income department, ensuring that income is maximised, and all legal requirements are met. Dealing with over 4,000 open cases at any point in time, the department offers the full range of technical challenges including dealing with the funding of up to 100 projects.

You will serve as an ambassador of the RNLI in dealing with banks, executors, solicitors and other charities as well as providing a first-class service to internal departments, executive management, our trustees and volunteers.

We are looking for an excellent people manager with a strong technical background in legacy administration. You will have significant probate experience gained preferably in a charitable environment, be an expert in dealing with contentious matters and will ideally be a member of the Institute of Legacy Management.

To succeed, you will enjoy working with people, have a strong customer focus and have excellent skills in communicating complex issues to a variety of customers.

Snow Camp is a ground-breaking national youth charity, and we are looking to recruit a fantastic new North West Wellbeing Manager and Programme Support to join our North West team on a 4 day a week contract (30 hrs).

Our accredited programmes are unique and attractive to young people, taking them from beginner to qualified snowsports instructors in just one year with volunteering and apprenticeship progression routes available at the end. Alongside learning to ski or snowboard, young people also have access to wellbeing support with the emphasis on improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

You will report to the North West Programme Manager & Head of Snowsports and will be responsible for the delivery of our wellbeing workshops and providing 1to1 wellbeing support sessions to young people. You will also work as part of the North West team to assist with the planning and delivery of snowsports and life-skills focused youth activities run by the Programme Manager and assist with the apprenticeship programme throughout each year.

Experience of working successfully with under-served young people in a range of settings, with a focus on supporting young people’s wellbeing will be essential to the post. Passion for snowsports and supporting young people generally will be a huge advantage!

Youth work, wellbeing support experience, project management, logistical skills, managing relationships, communication and presentation skills will make up the role. Along with experience of delivering group workshops to help young people work towards meaningful goals to improve their emotional wellbeing.

Job Description

• You will spend roughly 2.5 days will be in the Wellbeing Manager role and 1.5 days will be in the Programme Support role each week.
• In consultation with the Programme Manager, to manage the delivery of the Wellbeing Workshops and 1to1 mentoring support needed for young people and apprentices.
• Work with the programme manager to gain the young people’s trust and confidence.
• To assist with delivery and development of The North West’s full snowsports focused journey of youth programmes which take place at Chill Factore.
• Build a good relationship with the North West Programme Manager to help provide support and guidance to young people.
• Support with the management of (currently) 3 x North West apprentices on their 1-year Snow Camp Apprenticeship programme. particularly helping to manage their wellbeing and signpost to other services where needed.
• Ensuring the apprentices have clear personal development plans and objectives.
• Provide effective and inspiring leadership to apprentices and young people.
• Providing weekly 1to1 support sessions for each apprentice.
• Having an understanding and an involvement in the development of their weekly working rotas.
• Supporting with NVQ work & assisting with any challenges that may be faced.
• Ensuring apprentices are involved and supported working on all Snow Camp programmes as the North West staff team.
• Complete Personal Development Plans and Wellbeing Assessments as required with apprentices.
• Attend regular meetings with the other regional Wellbeing Managers to provide a consistent approach and building resources focused on improving young people’s wellbeing.
• Outside of programme days, provide one-to-one mentoring sessions to young people, in-person or remotely, focusing on their well-being and offering support so they can cope with the Snow Camp programme and improve their general wellbeing.
• Be a key team member on the overseas residential for the Excel programme during the Easter holidays. *Valid passport for travel in Europe & Andorra required.
• Use our UPSHOT online database system to keep records and ensure all monitoring and evaluation is carried out.
• Attend external training as required (e.g. Safeguarding and Mental Health Awareness tutor training courses).
• Ensure that all activities and provision you deliver is done safely and in line with organisational policies.
• Support the Programme Manager to ensure all programmes run smoothly and effectively by supporting the delivery of each programme – managing venue instructors, guest speakers, apprentices, youth staff, sessional staff and volunteers as required.
• Support the Programme Manager with recruiting young people for each programme through visits to youth projects, promotion through email to all relevant youth programmes and services and presenting at key stakeholder meetings on youth service provision. Finding new young people in the North West area to support by Snow-Camp will be key.
• Support the Programme Manager with programme administration including finances, SLAs, attendance records, risk assessments, bookings and young people’s records on Upshot.
• Support with management and delivery of trips and overseas residential’s (Snow-Camp Excel, Apprenticeship & Youth Forum Residential’s) as part of Snow-Camp programmes. Including support with all the necessary risk assessments.
• Additional tasks may vary depending on different opportunities throughout the year.

Management and support

The North West Wellbeing Manager & Programme Support will report to the North West Programme Manager & Head of Snowsports Morv Bett who will provide support and guidance.

The Trustee board will determine the overall direction of Snow Camp and will set the overall priorities in consultation with the Director and Senior Team.

About the team

Our Finance Department works as a team of experts to safeguard resources and support decision making across Shelter. We strive to ensure Shelter is financially sustainable in order to achieve our vision of a home for everyone. This particular role sits within the Financial Planning and Analysis team. We support the charity through financial reporting, analysis, and expert advice, and enable collaboration to support managers in making effective business decisions.

About the role

Joining a finance team that collaborates and communicates effectively to help us deliver our mission and vision, making vital business decisions that are driven by expert knowledge and financial acumen will be key to your success here. As part of the role, you’ll engage regularly with our Assistant Directors and their leadership teams to ensure that financial results and key messages are shared and you’ll support stakeholders in engaging with fully available financial insight and reporting.  When it comes to our stakeholders, you’ll support and lead finance education and training to equip them with the skills required to execute their own financial responsibilities.

Among your many challenges will be the need to align financial plans to operational and strategic plans and make sure they’re clearly understood by Business Units. About you

In this Senior Technical Lead - Entrepreneurship role, you will use your deep expertise in innovative finance and enterprise development to lead and support the delivery of enterprise development programmes, both existing and upcoming, across various countries.

You will help shape SCUK's commercial strategies by providing strategic and commercial insights, guide existing initiatives, and sharing through best practice.

You will be instrumental to achieve the Innovation Hive's system change goals for entrepreneurship as a means to delivering impact, influencing not just the Save the Children movement, but also the broader NGO sector and beyond.

The Innovation Hive are a team focussed on achieving transformative, systemic, change for children, for our organisation, for our sector and beyond. To do this we run a corporate venturing function at SCUK backing innovation projects that will help us maximise the impact potential of existing and new resources, and increase funding directed towards Save the Children's mission. Our purpose is clear: to transform, build and champion new growth opportunities and business models, moving at pace and collaborating inside and outside of or organisation to do this.

Key Accountabilities include:
Technical

• Use deep technical expertise and proven experience on innovative finance and delivering enterprise development programmes to lead on the delivery and/or support of existing (eg. 3 Ukraine, Kumwe Hub) and upcoming (eg Turkey, Nigeria, Ethiopia) Enterprise Development programmes to exit point.
• Use proven commercial experience to support the development and delivery of the strategy to explore SCUK's commercial opportunities such as shared value partnerships.
• Provide guidance and advice on existing SCUK commercial initiatives.
• Work on the development of a “best-practice” advisory service for SCUK to support Enterprise Development programmes for local contexts.

About You

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

Job Purpose & Background: 

CDP’s development team is ambitious, dynamic and at the heart of everything CDP does. As a Senior Manager, Philanthropy, you will focus on developing and managing strategic, high-value relationships with Trusts and Foundations. The Senior Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing a global fundraising strategy at a key time of organizational growth. Reporting directly to CDPs Head of Philanthropy, you are an independent thinker who can help grow and sustain grant funding from Trusts and Foundations.

You are the kind of person who gets out from behind your desk to meet people, influence and achieve long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships. You’ll need to be determined, tenacious and focused on results.

Who you are

• Must reside and be eligible to work in the locations stipulated above.
• You have a proven ability to build and manage philanthropic donor income streams, maximising the value of existing and prospective supporters.
• You have a proven track record of relationship building to secure grants at seven figure and above level. 

• You have 5 or more years of fundraising experience, preferably with Foundations or High Net-Worth Individuals.
• You are able to understand diverse donor motivations and deliver a bespoke relationship to meet these and have demonstrable skill in adapting written and verbal communications for a philanthropy audience. 

• You have excellent face to face, interpersonal, negotiating and persuasive skills. 

• You are an effective communicator.
• You are confident working with senior stakeholders internally and externally, using tact and diplomacy. 

• You have extensive experience of bespoke proposal and report writing for a philanthropy audience. 

• You have excellent attention to detail, ability to analyse and prepare budgets. You are organised and methodical approach to plan and deliver against a varied workload, managing competing priorities under your own initiative and to strict deadlines.

Your day-to-day

You will support the execution of CDPs philanthropic fundraising strategy. 

You will manage a portfolio of strategic, high-value donors, building strong relationships and implementing creative solicitation plans to maximise donor engagement and income.

You will research, develop and secure funding from new donors, with a strong focus on funders with a potential to give 7-8 figure grants. 

You will develop an excellent knowledge of CDP’s work, liaise with colleagues to prepare and present high-quality information such as tailored presentations and proposals for the donor. 

You will build excellent external working relationships at all levels with donors, their staff and networks in order to directly influence their decisions.

You will build excellent internal working relationships to engage staff at all levels in supporting donor stewardship to manage prospective and existing donors effectively.

As Client Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and maintaining relationships with charities, volunteers, and other stakeholders to ensure continued support for the charity’s mission and programmes. The role will also involve donor data management, marketing and communications and outreach where applicable. This is a client facing role requiring strong relationships management skills as well as operational skills.

Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in client relationship management. You will have a proven track record of successfully building and maintaining relationships with clients, donors and stakeholders and achieving fundraising goals. You will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to articulate the organisation’s mission and impact effectively. You will have a clear understanding of fundraising and marketing and have good knowledge of CRM software e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge for donor management and reporting. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders is also essential for this role. You will be highly organised with a proactive personality and be able to demonstrate a passion for the work of the charity.

We have a rare opportunity for an exceptional project manager to join us and work with an experienced team on the delivery of a £2m+ project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to improve access, through opportunity and conservation, to the glorious landscape of the River Eden, East Cumbria.

We seek an experienced, delivery-focused individual who can manage staff teams, external partners, finances and project schedules, and communicate effectively with a range of audiences – including at senior organisational level.

The successful candidate will also be passionate about engaging a wider range of people in the natural environment and be a clear and effective written and verbal communicator.  Understanding the multi-faceted water environment and challenges to accessing it will be an advantage but the wider Access to Eden partnership team, who have closely collaborated to make this complex project a reality, will be on hand to assist.

• the overall management of the delivery phase of the multi-million-pound project.
• working with the team to create long-lasting positive impact for the natural environment through building strong community engagement across the project area with target audiences who experience a lack of opportunity to access the Eden, and

About the project

Access to Eden:breaking barriers, building bridges aims to break down the physical, social and cultural barriers that prevent people from accessing the natural heritage of Eden and build the bridges needed to give them the confidence to enjoy our blue and green spaces. We intend to remove barriers for Eden’s special wildlife, connect habitats and promote nature recovery.

With 13 organisations signed up as part of our partnership, together we will break barriers and build bridges for people AND nature in the Eden Valley, Cumbria.

The clue is in the title. It’s all about making Eden’s rivers and nature more accessible to those who experience the greatest barriers. From opening up doorstep green spaces, promoting walking, cycling, swimming, paddle sports, practical conservation, wildlife surveys, quiet enjoyment … and even virtual enjoyment of the river environment.

Our vision is to see a fully integrated set of accessible activities and conservation opportunities that work for everyone in Eden, Cumbria, contributing to improving the natural heritage along our rivers.
