Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a national charity in the search for a temporary People & Administration Coordinator to provide vital support to their People team over the summer period.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented administrator to join a busy and collaborative team. The role will focus primarily on compliance, data management and recruitment administration, making it ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys working with systems and processes. Previous HR or recruitment experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records across HR systems and recruitment platforms.
  • Support data compliance activities, ensuring personnel files and records are up to date and accurately maintained.
  • Coordinate document filing and data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Assist with the administration and tracking of DBS renewals.
  • Support the setup and monitoring of pre-employment checks through external providers.
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Respond to routine internal queries and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Produce and maintain reports and records as required by the People team.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion at all times.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of People team activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative, coordinator or office support role.
  • Excellent data entry skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience managing databases, systems or large volumes of information.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Experience within HR, recruitment, compliance or employee administration would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to gain exposure to a busy People function while contributing to important compliance and recruitment activities within a values-driven organisation.
