In this role of Relationship Fundraising Executive, you will support delivery of the Fundraising strategy in our communities to grow income and support for Action for Children. The role is remote working but would suit someone living in the Central Region of England.

How you'll help to create brighter futures 

• Supporting the delivery of a range of fundraising campaigns and activities across the Central Region of England that provide significant income and are in line with the relationship fundraising strategy. 
• Assisting with the stewardship of local volunteer fundraising groups, organisations, clubs, businesses in the local area to encourage further involvement in our work.
• Manage the administrative set up and support of ‘Action Squads’, i.e. volunteer led fundraising groups to help them successfully fundraise and raise awareness. 
• Working across and attending challenge events to assist the stewardship and support for sports participants, who sign up to run, walk, cycle and skydive for Action for Children across the UK. 
• Demonstrate accountability to our supporters and volunteers through an open, honest, transparent, and consistent approach.
• Supporting the delivery of set financial targets and non-financial targets and outcomes locally.
• Ensuring expected income has been received and banked within the predicted timeframes. 
• Collaborate with colleagues from within Fundraising and other departments to maximise on opportunities. 
• Manage daily processes efficiently and effectively to ensure onboarding of supporters in a timely manner.

• Professional Institute of Fundraising qualification (desirable) or Membership of IoF (desirable).
• Experience of delivering successful fundraising activity to achieve income growth.

• Proficient in the use of Raiser’s Edge or equivalent database

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development, execution and financial management of the annual Mersey Forest woodland establishment and Biodiversity Net Gain Programmes, developing and managing the delivery of a multi-year pipeline of projects
• Assist in formulating and implementing woodland management plans to uphold sustainable woodland management and conservation practices.
• Provide expert advice to local authorities, landowners, and other stakeholders on woodland establishment, management, and conservation, fostering collaborative relationships.
• Lead an annual multi-million-pound programme of Mersey Forest partnership planting schemes across the Mersey Forest area, ensuring compliance with the UK Forestry Standard and other regulatory guidelines. This includes leading and managing the woodland advisors, operations team and ecologist.
• Work closely with the Mersey Forest Director and various stakeholders, including the Forestry Commission and Natural England, to ensure clarity on the scale of sites requiring regulatory approval.

Reporting into the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving team. You will be responsible for the delivery of core elements of the Supporter Acquisition programme, developing engaging communications / products and activity across multiple channels, such as paid search and social, email, telemarketing and offline channels. You will lead and deliver projects for the recruitment of new supporters to identify new audiences, optimise response, grow the supporter base and contribute to the lifetime value of supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Lead in the development and delivery of Supporter Acquisition campaigns/activity/products across a range of media, with a specific focus on digital channels, in line with strategy, planned budgets and targets, ensuring campaign deadlines are met.
•  Work closely with the Individual Giving Manager – Supporter Acquisition to plan, manage and deliver the annual operating plan, including end-to-end project management, making decisions within agreed parameters, providing recommendations for final approval.
•  Be responsible for the briefing and the day-to-day management of internal and external suppliers including copy and artwork development through to production, broadcast and final print.

Person Specification:

•  Good project-management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, creative development, and supplier relationships for fundraising direct marketing campaigns.
•  Knowledge of best practice digital fundraising, with particular experience of running Search, Social and online campaigns to increase supporters and gather data for future marketing opportunities.
•  Experience of managing campaign budgets, reforecast of activity, monitoring, reconciling and reporting on results in line with KPIs.
•  Experience of managing external relationships, for example with suppliers, agencies, including effective negotiation re costs and contractual obligations.

The purpose of the role is to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

All Complex Needs Practitioners (Recovery Worker) work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. You will join our caring multi-disciplinary teams, to help empower you to provide quality psychosocial interventions to our diverse client groups. 

A core part of the role will be working with people to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s substance use and wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to physical and emotional health, meaningful use of time, family and relationships, community engagement and activities, accommodation, physical and emotional health, offending as well as substance use (drug use and / or alcohol use).

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).  Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. You’ll also need a flexible approach, excellent record keeping and report writing skills and a willingness to work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, on an outreach basis, with a central hub base at our head office.

You will work with other agencies to provide a service that supports the individual through the criminal justice system, or works with them whether they decide to report the crime or not.

As an IVA, you will;

• Receive incoming referrals from a range of sources including the police, other agencies and individuals themselves
• Assess needs and risks, and agree action plans
• Work on case management systems to update case notes, manage and record information
• Give up to date and consistent information about the criminal justice system process
• Liaise with other agencies where required to provide advocacy for the service user, work in a multi-agency set up, give and receive information with consent
• Support the person and their wider family
• Work with criminal justice system agencies to ensure a trauma informed and victim friendly response
• Promote the service at events and meetings where directed or required
• Ensure that you are aware of and up to date with safeguarding and data policy and processes and able to identify where there are risks

You will need:

• to be a confident, compassionate & empathic person who can work well under pressure
• to be able to speak with people in a trauma informed way
• to be composed, empathic & able to quickly assess situations
• to live within North Yorkshire, or a reasonable distance from North Yorkshire, to allow you to fulfil the needs of our service and victims in line with our Outreadh program
• to be a competent IT user, able to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office

• Contributing to the development, implementation, and monitoring of our strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our core mission, vision, and values.
• Identifying and exploring new opportunities for growth, service development, and innovative solutions that enhance our impact and sustainability. 
• Deputising for the CEO, representing PLUS at external events and with key stakeholders.
• Providing inspiring leadership and direction to the Head of Services, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. 
• Driving operational excellence and ensuring regulatory compliance across all our services.
• Championing a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying areas for development and implementing effective solutions. 
• Contributing to effective budget planning and monitoring.
