We’re looking for a confident and compassionate LGBTQ+ Project Worker to join our supported housing team working across Brighton and Eastbourne.

This isn’t just a support role, it’s a frontline position that requires emotional resilience, excellent communication skills, and a grounded understanding of what it means to work in a supported housing environment. The people we work with often face intersecting challenges including mental health, trauma, identity-based discrimination, and housing insecurity. Your job will be to help them navigate these realities and move toward independent living with dignity, strength, and stability.

You’ll need to thrive in a role where no two days are the same. From conversations around rent and cleaning routines to complex safeguarding issues or mental health disclosures, you’ll be expected to step in calmly and confidently, without shying away from challenge.

We’re seeking someone who builds positive working relationships with both residents and housing providers, can adapt to rapidly changing needs, and brings clarity, kindness, and consistency to their work no matter what’s going on that day.

While this role is based in Eastbourne, we operate as one team across both Eastbourne and Brighton. From time to time, you may be expected to provide cover at our Brighton accommodation when needed.

The advertised salary includes London Weighting. As such, you will be responsible for covering the cost of travel to London for our monthly all-staff meetings. If additional travel to London is required as part of your role, these costs will also need to be covered by you.

Key Responsibilities

· To provide a high quality, flexible and responsive support service to LGBTQ+ people, supporting them for independent living or suitable alternative housing through the provision of 1-1 support sessions and group work.

· To assess the individual needs of each person and provide a bespoke support plan.

· To ensure that effective service user participation mechanisms are in place.

· To ensure a high level of customer care and practice at all times.

· To develop links with relevant external agencies.

Main Duties of the Post

Support Sessions

· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our supported accommodation service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.

· To meet service users regularly to provide structured support, in relation to LGBTQ+ and Housing specific issues, such as gender identity pathways, mental health services, health issues, safeguarding, liaising with the professional network.

· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing supported accommodation to develop and review individual support plans and risk assessments.

· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.

Financial Support

· To assist service users in maximising and managing their income including universal credit, ESA, PIP and Housing Benefit.

Semi-independent Living Support

· To work with service users to enable them to develop the life and social skills necessary to sustain their accommodation and prepare them for independent living.

· To assess individual service user’s suitability for independent accommodation.

· To act quickly to manage incidents and to advise, support and assist service users unable to maintain supported accommodation into more appropriate housing options.

Resettlement

· To support service users in the completion of application forms necessary to support move-on housing, including the private rented sector.

· To ensure that all service users are provided with information about local services whilst in supported accommodation and during their move on.

· To ensure all service users are fully aware of their rights and responsibilities in their home.

· To work with housing providers, both public and private, to negotiate move on options.

Groupwork, Consultation and Participation

· To work as part of a team in developing user participation.

· To identify and develop appropriate and flexible processes for consulting with our service users, via social media platforms, newsletters, events and workshops.

· To devise innovative and creative ways of involving LGBTQ+ people in the running of the schemes with an independent approach.

· Supporting our residents to participate in group and peer support and to access online support mechanisms.

· Facilitating and promoting an LGBTQ+ group work programme.

Other Duties

· To establish and maintain accurate and complete records in all areas of work.

· To complete statistics for the collation of performance and funding information.

· To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and regulations in relation to funders and other key areas.

· To participate in individual and clinical supervision meetings, annual appraisals and training.

· To act in accordance with the organisation’s Diversity Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Code of Conduct and all other corporate policies and procedures.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Experience

·       Lived experience, or experience of working with homeless people or vulnerable LGBTQ+ people, in a voluntary or paid employment setting.

· Knowledge and understanding of the causes and effects of homelessness, particularly in relation to LGBTQ+ people.

Your role

As a Housing Officer you'll be delivering a professional and high-quality mixed tenure service to our customers, using your knowledge and skills to resolve a range of housing management challenges.

About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Network Development team in the North of England, to support the team in managing a range of projects that will fix and grow the National Cycle Network in the delivery of our Paths for Everyone strategy.

Role Summary

This senior leadership role will oversee the strategic planning, management and reporting of the Natural History Museum’s major fundraising campaign NHM150, the campaign to raise £150m to revitalise our South Kensington home ahead of our 150th anniversary.  The successful candidate will combine exceptional relationship-building skills with proven campaign management expertise to support the Development team’s fundraising objectives.  Reporting to the Director of Development the post-holder will lead a team of development professionals to deliver insightful prospect research, manage systems for donor journeys and lead on excellent donor stewardship for the Development team.  They will also manage the continuous improvement of the Development CRM and ensure that excellent income processing and reporting systems are in place.  A key member of the Development Group’s Senior Leadership Team, the post-holder will work with colleague across the Museum to ensure that the NHM150 Campaign and major funding bids are aligned with the Museum’s wider strategy and operating plan.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

• Support the development of campaign strategies aligned with organisational priorities and timelines
• Work with the Director of Development and the heads of fundraising to establish fundraising goals, metrics, and benchmarks for campaign success
• Create detailed campaign plans including case statements, prospect identification, solicitation strategies, and timeline management
• Collaborate with executive leadership and NHM150 Fellows to continue to refine campaign objectives and messaging 

Campaign Execution & Management

• Manage campaign logistics including, communications, materials development, and donor cultivation activities
• Liaise closely with the Head of Special Events to ensure that NHM150 projects and donors are at the heart of NHM hosted events
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including development staff, communications, finance, and external consultants
• Monitor campaign progress against established metrics and adjust strategies as needed

Prospect Research and Stewardship

• Lead the prospect research function responsible for identifying major gift and partnerships prospects including individuals, foundations, corporations, and government entities

• With the support of the Director of Development’s Executive Assistant coordinate volunteer engagement and peer-to-peer fundraising activities

Development Operations

• Ensure the accurate and timely processing off all Development income, liaising closely with colleagues in Finance to improve and maintain accurate and insightful reporting to improve planning.
• Manage the smooth and effective running of Development Group’s CRM (Raisers Edge) ensuring compliant, accurate and effective systems
• Ensure the Database and Reporting Manager oversees a pipeline of donor data screening, cleaning and segmentation in order to ensure accuracy, consistency and functionality of data, and that clear and accessible training and procedures are in place for and delivered to database users
• Ensure accurate and timely management of the Development Group’s corporate expenditure, including CRM supplier, membership bodies and regulatory costs.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor a team of development professionals, providing guidance on campaign strategies and donor management
• Recruit, train, and supervise campaign staff and consultants as needed
• Foster a collaborative team environment focused on achieving campaign objectives
• Provide professional development opportunities and performance management for direct reports

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Experience of working strategically and contributing to the development and implementation of organisational strategy and business planning within a not-for-profit/fundraising environment
• Experience of analysing, interpreting and communicating complex management information to senior stakeholders, including developing and monitoring effective KPIs
• Experience of developing and managing fundraising plans and income and expenditure budgets

At Sharewear Clothing Scheme, our mission is to provide free clothing and bedding to people in need. About the Role

Position: Fundraising & Development Manager

Location: Hybrid working between remote and from our base in Edwalton, Nottingham. This role may require some require flexible working, such as attending events that may be in evenings or weekends.

The people we work with often face intersecting challenges including mental health, trauma, identity-based discrimination, and housing insecurity. Main Duties of the Post

Support Sessions

· To give holistic support to LGBTQ+ people accessing our supported accommodation service and to provide proactive support to these service users who are sometimes hard to engage.

· To meet service users regularly to provide structured support, in relation to LGBTQ+ and Housing specific issues, such as gender identity pathways, mental health services, health issues, safeguarding, liaising with the professional network.

· To work with LGBTQ+ people accessing supported accommodation to develop and review individual support plans and risk assessments.

· To liaise with other service providers ensuring service users receive the necessary support to sustain their accommodation, acquire relevant independent living skills, maintain or improve positive physical and mental health and access into meaningful occupation of their time.

· To assist service users in maximising and managing their income including universal credit, ESA, PIP and Housing Benefit.

Semi-independent Living Support

· To work with service users to enable them to develop the life and social skills necessary to sustain their accommodation and prepare them for independent living.

· To act quickly to manage incidents and to advise, support and assist service users unable to maintain supported accommodation into more appropriate housing options.

Resettlement

· To support service users in the completion of application forms necessary to support move-on housing, including the private rented sector.

The post-holder will maintain a manageable caseload of clients needing support with their welfare rights and benefits. The role is to support the Welfare Rights Advice Project Team with the following:

1. To carry out an initial client assessment, identifying any issues with their benefits and any claims they can make to maximise their income.

Stonewall Housing’s core hours are between 10:00 – 16:00 and staff can agree regular working patterns with their line manager.

The Training Lead - Projects & DFTP (Digital First Transformation Programme) will design, develop and deliver training strategies and plans that successfully support and empower stakeholders to adopt new systems, products, processes and ways of working that align to the MHFA England strategy. The postholder will provide business partnering support to all directorates, working with directors, strategic leads, business SMEs and external stakeholders to identify training needs that will lead to high levels of change readiness and adoption. The central focus will be the implementation of MHFA England’s Digital First Transformation Programme.

The role will be involved in producing and analysing data to inform and feed into the People team strategy, especially for the first three months. Working closely with the Head of People, Wellbeing & Equity and the wider People team and covering for each other as needed, this role will lead on allocated projects pertaining to organisational and individual learning. The role holder will work with the internal stakeholders on developing and delivering interventions to improve communication with, and engagement of, staff and support wellbeing of colleagues. Equity will be embedded in all aspects of the work of the People team to foster an inclusive environment for everyone in the MHFA England community.

The Role

You will lead on bid writing efforts for a range of grassroots partners, providing hands-on support to strengthen their funding applications. This includes writing applications on behalf of smaller organisations, delivering training and 1-to-1 support, and helping to grow the wider funding ecosystem through advocacy and relationship-building. You’ll act as the in-house expert on grant funding and contribute to shaping this service offering for greater impact.
