The vacancy
You will be central to the leadership and management of Outward Bound and realising the ambition set out in The Next Horizon, leading the financial stewardship of the organisation. You will both oversee the management of the organisation’s financial resources and provide leadership in their utilisation to further the charity’s mission. You will also be responsible for the organisation’s environmental sustainability journey, and for IT, Digital, and trust-wide systems and processes.
The location for the post-holder is flexible, although will require frequent working from the Head Office near Penrith and regular travel for Board, Senior Management and other meetings.
About you
The successful candidate will be central to the leadership and management of the charity in the coming years working closely with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team. You will be astute, collaborative, risk aware, have an attention to detail and thrive on working in a fast paced environment.
A fully qualified accountant with proven experience at a senior level in a finance role with responsibility across the whole finance function, you will have substantial financial leadership and commercial acumen. Experience in a national level organisation of comparable complexity is also required.
You will be a creative and entrepreneurial leader, able to develop your team members to their full potential. You should be committed to embedding the values of equity, diversity and inclusion into everything that you do.

We need a new Director of Communications. An exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to lead on the provision, evaluation and development of a Scotland-wide bereavement support service.
Bereavement Support Service Lead - Scotland
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rate: £37,500 per annum
Reporting to: Head of Support Services

Child Bereavement UK has an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to lead on the provision, evaluation and ongoing development of a Scotland-wide bereavement support service that ensures families and professionals can access high-quality bereavement support when a baby or child has died, or when children or young people are bereaved. The Bereavement Support Service Lead will also support the strategic development of the Charity’s services in Scotland.
The Bereavement Support Service Lead - Scotland will:
- Lead/manage/contribute to and further develop the provision of a blended model of bereavement support across Scotland.
- Provide training, consultancy, and support for professionals whose work brings them into contact with bereaved families.
- Collaborate with partners to develop bereavement support services across Scotland.
- Support Child Bereavement UK’s Fundraising Team in the generation of sustainable income to fund our Scottish operations, providing information and data to support applications and reporting.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties in South West London. As a member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), you will help to deliver and shape Jigsaw4u's vision and strategy. An essential part of our Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Growth is responsible for managing our funding and partnership team, driving revenue growth, and expanding our network of supporters and collaborators.
Objectives
•To create and support opportunities to enable the growth of the Foundation through strategic planning and partnership development
•To oversee and manage the Partnerships and Funding teams within the Growth department
•To achieve the financial targets and outcomes within the Growth department, whilst contributing to the overall strategic direction and decision making of the charity.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue diversification: Explore new programme opportunities and revenue streams to increase the sustainability of the charity
Innovation: Working with delivery and infrastructure departments, support the implementation of new growth initiatives
Team management: Support the Relationship Manager and the development of new partnerships / sponsorship for the Foundation, The Nest and Run Norwich
Securing funding: Support the Funding Manager and the development of funding applications, donations and showcasing our impact
Budget management: Achieve growth budgets and perform monthly income checks with the finance team
Project management: Play an active role in supporting new project design
Collaboration: To work with and support the Executive team with gaining and developing new opportunities through local authorities, statutory agents and third sector organisations
Contract management: To oversee and manage specific contracts and obligations that support income generation for the charity
Strategy management: Support Senior Leadership Team members to implement all initiatives within the Growth Strategy
Fundraising initiatives: Explore the use of technology to develop new income generation ideas and efficiencies within the organisation
Relationship management: Build relationships with key individuals, businesses, charities and local authorities who can support the growth of the Foundation
Compliance: Ensure relevant due diligence is in place with all external collaboration
