The Immigration Adviser at LAH will provide advice and assistance on basic visa and immigration matters, including handling straightforward cases, often referred to as "initial advice" or "entry-level advice." You will assist LAH service users with applications within the immigration rules including visitor visas, Spouse and dependent visas, straightforward EU Settlement Scheme applications, extensions of leave and Settlement and British citizenship applications, offering advice on non-complex immigration rules and regulations, and explaining to LAH service users the relevant procedures, helping them to complete application forms and gather necessary supporting documents.

Main duties and responsibilities
● Efficiently responding to LAH service users' inquiries while creating a friendly, warm, and welcoming environment
● Providing one-to-one specialist high-quality immigration advice at OISC Level 1 on basic immigration matters, including visitor visas, Spouse and dependent visas, straightforward EU Settlement Scheme applications, extensions of leave to remain, Settlement and British citizenship applications, providing guidance on eligibility and ensuring LAH service users understand their rights and obligations
● Representing LAH service users by completing straightforward application forms, such as visa and leave to remain applications, and assisting them in gathering and preparing the necessary documentation for their applications, maintaining professional conduct with LAH service Users at all times
● Liaising with the Home Office and other relevant authorities on behalf of LAH service users for non-complex matters and submitting high standard applications to the Home Office
● Assisting LAH service users with correspondence related to their applications or immigration status
● Recognising when a case is beyond the scope of OISC Level 1 authorisation, such as appeals, asylum cases, or more complex immigration matters, and referring these to higher-level advisers or solicitors
● Operating within professional boundaries, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times
Monitoring and Evaluation
● Maintaining accurate records and case files, ensuring all advice and actions are properly documented, adhering to OISC Code of Standards and AQS
● Overseeing administrative systems for case management and partaking external file reviews and supervision as instructed, tracking workload, and monitoring submitted applications and their outcomes
● Assisting in demonstrating the impact of our work by recording clear and detailed case notes in our database and tracking outcomes against project targets, identifying challenges and issues affecting the LAH community, all of which will be used to inform our provision
● Providing LAH management with necessary information on the Immigration Advice service, including case studies, detailed reports, and relevant data when required
Professional Development
● Participating in learning and evaluation sessions with partner organisations as relevant
● Attending regular staff and other team meetings as required
● Undertaking OISC Level 2 training procured by LAH
● Staying current with legislative changes and policy updates affecting individuals' rights to remain in the UK, and adhering to best practices set by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) and Advice Quality Standard (AQS)
Other Accountabilities
● Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with LAH's policies and procedures as well as with the OISC and AQS Code of Standards
● Participating in regular one-to-one sessions for both service and professional development purposes, including regular supervision to assess the quality standard of advice work
● Working closely and collaboratively with other advisers, staff team members, interns, trainees, and volunteers as needed to address the holistic needs and circumstances of LAH service users
● Supporting the preparation for audits by the OISC and AQS, as well as for internal and external reports
● Collaborating with the Head of Operations to ensure the smooth running of the service and implement an efficient administrative strategy
● Conducting workshops and presentations on immigration matters as instructed

Main Requirements
· To oversee the for the planning, management and delivery of all services, ensuring that KPIs and CIPs are fully met.
· To work closely with the Operational Manager to ensure quality delivery of services provided the Norfolk/Suffolk team, staff and volunteers.
· To develop and review the practice wheels and Logic Models that outlines the structure and research basis of the service. To engage with the Family Action Communities of Practice, roadshows and other internal opportunities to ensure strategic aims and objectives are constantly developing.
· To ensure a high standard of quality assurance and professional practice across the staff, through clinical and line management supervision, case audits, the use of MIR, Scorecard and Service Level Reports drawing upon data, and provision of training opportunities.
· Support Operational Manger to explore and identify areas of service needs across Norfolk and Suffolk and to build network and integrational working partnerships to support this.
· To be instrumental in shaping the future of the services both in Norfolk and Suffolk as well as part of the wider Central Team.
· Be responsible for the overall management, mentoring and support of Service Coordinators and, where needed, other staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a new post within this service area in which we are seeking an ambitious, person-centred leader to join our team in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) as a Service Manager. In this role, you will report to the Area Manager, and you will manage multiple dispersed services across the RBKC region, managing a team of 9 support workers.
The service provides 154 units of accommodation to people experiencing homelessness and who have complex needs. The services are spread across the area and are 24 hour supported accommodation sites. You will lead your service to comply with the needs of our commissioners, residents, and organisation, whilst supporting staff to create a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). You will have overall responsibility for your service to deliver high quality service delivery, performance, and improvements.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in supporting those who face multiple and complex needs, ideally homelessness. Risk Management, Information Management, and Case Recording
- Follow the relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share any relevant information with partner agencies as appropriate
- Champion, and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service(s). Ensure all staff attend relevant safeguarding and training and use knowledge to coach and advise the team
Property and Housing Management
- Create and manage a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents and participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing
- Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard, in line with SIG’s property standards and meets all legal and statutory health and fire safety requirements to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently
- Ensure a provision of a high-quality housing management service to residents
Financial Management
- Manage the service’s budget and review monthly management accounts; manage set budgets effectively and ensure resources are maximised
- Maintain financial management within the service, including but not limited to, invoice management, arrears management, management of petty cash, and expense claims

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Deputy Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic violence. In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who are experiencing violence and men who experience violence in their relationships. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

About this role
This new role, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, is an exciting opportunity to join our team who have been supporting adults with learning disabilities for almost 40 years. As we look to the future, we need to consider new opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations to build a strong, resilient network of third-sector organisations in Swindon and the surrounding area.
Main responsibilities
- Work with the trustees, staff, volunteers and members to develop and deliver against a Strategic Business Plan.
- To act as the lead relationship manager with partners on behalf of The Open Door Centre.
- Take responsibility for diversifying fundraising, grants and income streams in line with the strategy and business development plan, be proactive in developing new leads and connections.
- Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
- Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.
Skills, competencies and experience
- Skills and experience in third sector fundraising, preferably including corporate fundraising, funder reporting and grants and confidence in identifying and developing new opportunities.

Other information
