The Role
As a Neighbourhood Facilitator, you will be seconded into Hackney CVS and:
- Lead two of the eight established Neighbourhood Forums, driving community engagement and cross-organisational collaboration to identify local issues and co-produce solutions.
- Work closely with resident groups, service providers, and the Neighbourhood Leadership Group, ensuring that community insights and VCS expertise shape local services and pathways.
- Organise engaging community forum meetings, conduct outreach, and foster strategic connections to enable positive system change.
- Serve as a bridge between residents, VCS organisations, and health and care partners, creating opportunities for co-creation and influencing system changes to address health inequalities.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting vulnerable and at-risk young people to overcome challenges, set and achieve academic and personal goals, and make informed positive choices that reduce their risk of offending and entry into the criminal justice system. Your main focus will be the delivery of the SOS+ Embedded Mentor Programme to targeted at risk students, however you will also be expected to establish and maintain positive relationships with students to provide emotional support, guidance, and mentorship and address individual student needs and challenges – utilising personal experiences, local knowledge, professional skills and SOS+ materials to offer support and intervention.
We will also rely on you collaborate with professionals to support and develop strategies to minimise the risk to students and to maintain a trauma informed approach at all times, while supporting or co-delivering whole school awareness sessions; professional sessions; and parent/carer sessions is also an essential element of the role.

The Role
At the National Memorial Arboretum, we believe in building on potential. As a Sous Chef your ability to ensure the prompt service and provision of all meals and services at the required times in line with the Food Services Strategy could have a real impact on people's lives.
The Arboretum is the UK's year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion.

As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for operating within one of two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings (Remembrance and Aspects) to supply catering across multiple outlets including self-serve 380 cover restaurant, table waited functions room up to 500, coffee shop, 'pop up Foodservice outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum and hospitality. We are open daily from 10:00 till 17:00 7 days a week, we do some bespoke evening events in our Aspects building throughout the year.
If successful, the main duties of your role will be:
- To support the Executive Head Chef in the delivery of the Food Services Strategy.
- Consistently maintain high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of Staff, Volunteers, visitors and clients.
- To ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with current recognised catering standards and those implemented by the Food Services Manager and Executive Head Chef.
- To take operational control, including supervision of all kitchen staff, of any of the kitchens, food production, food service and pot-wash areas as required by the Executive Head Chef.
- To assist the Executive Head Chef with menu planning, rota changes, staff training and stock control..
- To report any customer complaints and compliments and to quickly resolve any complaints to ensure satisfaction at the point of delivery wherever possible.
- To help ensure that all members of staff adhere to both statutory regulations and NMA's policies on food safety and health and safety within all catering areas.
- Work with the Executive Head Chef to ensure that effective induction, supervision and appraisals of catering staff are carried out and that training needs are identified and met.
Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum - Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR.
The post will be working 40 hours per week on 5 days out of 7 basis.

Home to over 350 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. Galop, the UK’s LGBT+ anti-abuse charity, is seeking a Survivor Engagement Manager. Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence every year. We specialise in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, and other forms of abuse including honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and so-called conversion therapies. We are looking to recruit a Survivor Engagement Manager. This new role will lead the development of Galop’s approach to survivor engagement, ensuring that LGBT+ survivors are at the centre of all of our work. This role combines the need for a strategic outlook, alongside practical frontline skills in working with those who have experienced trauma. You will be experienced in managing complex projects that centre survivors and juggling competing priorities. You will be a team player who is able to work collaboratively across the organisation, including staff, volunteers and trustees, bringing people together to make change. Anti-oppression and a clear understanding power and power dynamics will be at the heart of your practice, designing processes, systems and projects with the most marginalised within our community in mind.

As a Chef you will be operating within one of two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings (Remembrance and Aspects) to supply catering across multiple outlets including self-serve 380 cover restaurant, table waited functions room up to 500, coffee shop, 'pop up Foodservice outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum and hospitality. We are open daily from 10:00 till 17:00 7 days a week, we do some bespoke evening events in our Aspects building throughout the year.
If successful, the main duties of your role will be:
- Consistently maintain high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of our visitors
- Adopt operational responsibility for one area within the kitchen (for example one of the preparation areas, baking, hot meal production, etc)
- To operate across two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings to supply a 380 cover self-serve restaurant, table waited functions room, events and functions hospitality, coffee shop, and 'pop up' outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum.
- Ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with the standards set by the Executive Head Chef
- Ensure that all areas within the kitchen and dining room areas are clean and tidy at all times, and all relevant documentation is up to date
- Daytime and evening Events catering up to and including formal banqueting for up to 500 attendees
You will have experience of working as a Chef in a busy kitchen together with a catering qualification and food hygiene training. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential together with the ability to work under pressure.
You will be working 5 days out of 7 with the occasional evening work at events.

The Role
This Casework Coordinator role is based within the Services Directorate. In part, this directorate focuses its support on refugees who have been recognised as having protection needs and have been granted permission to stay in the UK but are now struggling to rebuild their lives in a new and unfamiliar country. Many need advice and guidance in areas such as housing, health, welfare support, education/training and employment.
The Refugee Council’s Private Renting Scheme is based in London and has been delivering specialised support to new refugees wanting to access private rented accommodation in London since 2012. Working with private landlords and other housing providers our Private Renting Scheme creates tenancy opportunities for new refugees and provides support and advice to ensure tenancies are suitable and sustainable.
The postholder will work with private landlords and other housing providers to secure tenancies for clients. The postholder will also provide casework support to clients, ensuring they are ready to secure and sustain a tenancy. This will involve providing casework support dealing with the key issues of housing and welfare benefits.
The Casework Coordinator will work closely with others to ensure we effectively manage and support our caseload of clients and run an effective advice service. This role will take responsibility for the progression of its own caseload with the support of volunteers.

- To provide face to face advice and support to adult refugees in a sensitive, confidential and professional manner which fully understands the needs of the individual.
- To create links and work effectively with private landlords and other housing providers (such as housing associations, housing cooperatives, low needs housing providers) to create accessible, suitable and sustainable tenancy options for clients.
