About this key role
Our successful candidate will assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, and produce support and risk management plans based on these assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process. Location: Birmingham/hybrid

Salary: Untrained ISVA: £29,777 pro rata, accredited ISVA: £31,365 pro rata

The Role
You will provide support as an ISVA for children and young people (CYP). You will offer compassionate, confidential, support to CYP of all genders, who have been subjected to sexual violence and abuse. Some of the work will be providing specialised wrap around support to children and their families where the child has been, or is currently being sexually exploited (CSE support). You will provide information about reporting processes; support CYP who have reported to the police; provide emotional support to CYP when they give their evidence in court and provide information about other options, such as civil action and Criminal Injuries Compensation.
An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable for this post, and will start at the accredited salary rate. However, candidates who demonstrate and live the organisations values (bold-believing-big hearted), and have a willingness to work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.
About You
Ideally, you will have previous or current experience within a specialist rape and sexual abuse organisation, supporting children and young people’s (CYP) victims/survivors of sexual violence and abuse.
You will also have experience of:
- Supporting 13-16 year olds, a group at high risk of sexual violence, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and sexual coercion.
- The impacts of sexual violence and abuse
- Working pro-actively, and advocating for adult survivor voices and needs
- Working with a range of agencies
- Child safeguarding issues, child sexual exploitation (CSE), legislation and best practice
- Understanding of the need and ability to maintain professional notes and records of their interactions and interventions with clients

Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the Outreach & Engagement Worker will deliver 2-4 daytime outreach sessions per week in Manchester alongside partners, colleagues and volunteers. They will also attend the Street Engagement Hub weekly to provide specialist support to women attending this multi-agency hub. We are looking for a Senior Advocate who will have day to day responsibility for the running and promotion of the advocacy service in Slough.
You will manage a pool of advocates which involves recruitment, supporting them through induction and by conducting supervision and best practice meetings, ensuring the provisions of the service we offer to children and young people is to a high standard.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. Felstead street is a CQC registered care home that provide care and support for 24 adults with high level mental health needs but also with complex physical health needs.
As a Waking Night Mental Health Support Worker, you will play an integral role as a part of the team by offering the continuity of care and support in every aspect of their needs in line with individual support and risk management plans, such as medication administration, emotional support and regular welfare check, personal care and so on.
Shift: 10.15pm-8.15am. Must be able to work some weekends and bank holidays. 4 working days (10 hours x4) a week, according to the rolling rota.

Providing emotional support and assistance to customers overnight who may be experiencing difficulties with their own mental health and seeking appropriate support.
Providing support with daily living activities including practical assistance to customers who may require this during the night.
Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community.
Managing the petty cash during the shift.
Continuing the infection control duties at night.
Maintaining fire safety and H&S at night, and managing the arising issues in line with the local protocol and Look Ahead policies and procedure.
Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards

We’re recruiting a Job Retention Specialist to work with our businesses and employees to support work-place retention and develop healthier/more productive work practices.
Our Job Retention team accept self-referrals from people whose mental health is impacting them at work and who have either support from Devon Partnership Trust IPS service or who have spoken with their GP about their mental health. We offer a service to people who live within the Torbay, Teignbridge, and the South Hams area. Devon Partnership Trust staff Devon wide can also access our confidential Job Retention Service. You’ll need to be a proactive coach who is able to ensure that customers receive timely and efficient support that meets their individual needs. You’ll need to have drive, determination and motivation to encourage and inspire and have a naturally creative and empathetic nature.
This is a pivotal role in supporting our clients, so our ideal candidate must be able to build strong relationships to bring clarity and understanding to offer practical advice and guidance to support and encourage. You’ll need to be able demonstrate effective coaching and mentoring skills, have the ability to build rapport and engage with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. We’re not looking for someone who ticks every box, just so long as you have an engaging personality, are comfortable working with a diverse group of people, and can provide a warm and welcoming experience to help our customers engage.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete a holistic assessment with individuals to establish their employment needs.
- Be able to offer short-term advice and guidance in relation to a work situation.
- Engage with employers to support both them and their employees, provided the employer takes up this offer.
- Facilitate group sessions with employers and their employees as and when required.
- Provide accompaniment to Occupational Health appointments; employment meetings; oversee reasonable adjustments and phased return to work; subject to agreement from all parties.
- Support or provide information for individuals to complete an employment WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan), which may be shared with their employer.
- Develop relationships with multiple agencies and partners to provide holistic approaches to support individuals e.g. NHS mental health/wellbeing, services and with participant consent undertake case conferences with external agencies to jointly optimise support packages.
- Work within Pluss and community outreach locations (sometimes alongside other services e.g. housing, health and primary care centres) to increase service accessibility.

Skills and Experience
Essential

A daily lunch service is at the heart of our day-centre delivery for young people experiencing homelessness. For many of our young people, lunch is their only hot, nutritious meal of the day. We are looking for a passionate Chef to work independently in our kitchen to deliver a daily meal for up to 100 young people, staff and volunteers. You will have responsibility for planning, preparing and serving food that makes a real difference to people's lives. You will need to have experience of catering to large numbers and managing professional kitchen paperwork, and the drive to maintain high food hygiene standards.
