Purpose of the job

Working across the Network Delivery Department, you will support the efficient day to day administration and co-ordination of the teams. About Us

Safer Waves was set up in 2019 to provide support to merchant seafarers who have experienced sexual assault, sexual harassment or gender discrimination on board.

Safer Waves provides an anonymous email support service, run by volunteers who are trained in responding to disclosures of sexual violence, and who understand the specific challenges experienced when these events happen onboard a vessel.

We work with shipping companies, industry leaders, law enforcement and maritime training providers to raise awareness of sexual violence within the maritime industry, and to improve the support that is available to seafarers who experience it.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there. ​

• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
• Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Work with and be managed by River Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
• Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme, though it is not a requirement of the role for the successful candidate to join River Church as their worshipping community if they are already part of another local church
• Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Keep the River Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

Leeds Citizens Advice & Law Centre has been providing free and independent advice for more than 80 years, offering access to justice for people experiencing disadvantage or discrimination. About the role

Reporting to the Director of Housing, we are looking for a Head of Maintenance and Estates to lead on the effective delivery of an efficient and customer focused maintenance and estate service across our properties within SIG. Managing a small team, you will focus on management and leadership activities to empower staff to achieve high quality results in the service. You will take oversight of the Maintenance and Estates function, to ensure the smooth running of upkeep and repair operations, working with various teams internally and externally to build sustainable working relationships.

You will have overall responsibility for ensuring policies and processes are up to date and that the way the function is run has continuous improvement. You will lead with creating and implementing a strategic plan, supporting with short to medium to long term objectives. About you

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience in managing similar repairs and estates services and who is able to lead a team to be empowered to provide a high-quality service. You will be able to to develop and implement maintenance plans, strategies, and procedures, and have confidence to take ownership of your department, making key decisions.

• Management and leadership experience, including with direct line of reports and indirect
• Experience in developing and implementing formal maintenance plans, strategies, and procedures with a key eye to detail
• Experience in directing and delivering customer service functions, ideally in a repairs and maintenance or cleaning context

The BDA is seeking a new Research Manager to work as part of the Education and Professional Practice Team, leading on the research and impact activities of professional dietetic practice. The role will also provide line management within the team.

The role will suit a candidate with a sound understanding and experience of the breadth of dietetic practice and research, and the factors that influence it. Animal Welfare Investigations Project (AWIP) is a specialist not-for-profit organisation dedicated to ending cruelty through intelligence-led investigations, criminal prosecutions, and systemic change.

We are investing heavily in building a world-class legacy fundraising program. We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Legacy Officer to help steward our most visionary supporters — securing transformational gifts that will protect animals for generations to come.

About the Role

As our Legacy Officer, you will be at the heart of one of the most important projects in AWIP’s future.

You will:

• Build warm, trusting relationships with legacy pledgers and prospects.

• Respond to supporter enquiries about Gifts in Wills.

• Steward confirmed pledgers through personalised updates, thank you letters, and occasional calls or events.

• Maintain accurate CRM records for legacy prospects and pledgers.

• Create simple, heartfelt communications to inspire and retain pledgers.

• Host occasional small-scale legacy events (virtual or in-person).

• Report on progress to the Executive Director.

This is a 12-month temporary contract with a strong possibility of extension or becoming permanent based on program growth and conversion performance.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Warm, empathetic, and relationship-driven.

• Organised with excellent attention to detail.

• Self-motivated, able to manage workload across 16 hours per week.

• Comfortable communicating by email, letter, and phone.

• Committed to animal protection and the long-term power of Gifts in Wills.

• Holds or is willing to work towards a recognised legacy qualification (e.g., CiCLA or Certificate in Legacy Fundraising).

• (Preferred) Adherence to a cruelty-free – vegan or vegetarian – lifestyle with a passion for protecting animals.

• (Preferred) Previous experience in legacy fundraising, supporter care, or major gifts.

Role Details

• Salary: £12,000–£12,600 per year (equivalent to £28,500–£31,500 FTE).

• Working Hours: 16 hours weekly total, fully flexible working. Overtime (time off in lieu) may be available for extra workload.

• Location: Remote (occasional travel for in-person team meetings and/or supporter events — expenses paid).

• Contract: 12 months initially, with strong potential to extend or become permanent.

In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of our data maturity roadmap, helping Turn2us grow into a truly data-driven organisation. You’ll develop a data-led culture, embed best practice in data governance, and ensure our data is both ethically managed and compliant with GDPR. You’ll also work closely with colleagues in IT, Insight and Impact, and Digital and Design to build a well-managed, joined-up data ecosystem that underpins everything from our day-to-day operations to our long-term strategy.

We’re looking for a values-led leader with strong expertise in data architecture, data management and governance. You’ll have experience leading and implementing data strategies and frameworks, and a passion for using data to create positive social change. Knowledge of financial insecurity and the issues facing people in poverty is useful, but not essential.

What matters most is your commitment to our mission and your ability to make data work for people. We’re not looking for a particular CV or background. Join CPRE Avon and Bristol – part of the national network championing a thriving countryside for everyone – as our new Charity Co-ordinator.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of our charity, coordinating projects like Hedgerow Heroes, supporting volunteers, and helping us grow our impact. Reporting directly to the Chair and Trustees, you'll manage core operations, financial administration, and communications, with plenty of variety and opportunities to shape how we work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating charity operations and supporting project delivery

• Managing communications with members, volunteers, and stakeholders

• Assisting with governance, HR policy development, and a forthcoming Governance Review

• Providing line management for project staff

• Supporting our diversity and inclusion goals across all areas of work

• Helping to prepare project budgets and financial reporting with the Treasurer

We're looking for someone who:

• Is a confident and collaborative communicator

• Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities independently

• Believes in creating a sustainable countryside for all

• Has line management or volunteer management experience and an understanding of charity operations

• Lives in the West of England and is comfortable working flexibly and remotely, with regular travel across the region

Desirable:
Experience or willingness to learn about charity fundraising and the planning system would be an asset.
