Job description

The Talent Set are delighted to be partnering with Paul Hamlyn Foundation to recruit an Interim Policy and Projects Lead to join their Strategic Learning, Insight and Influence team.

This is a highly outward-facing role at the heart of the Foundation’s influencing work. The successful candidate will provide high-quality policy insight, research, and strategic support, helping the Foundation stay informed about the policy landscape affecting its priority areas, particularly young people, migration, education, arts and social justice. The role will also play an important part in strengthening partnerships, shaping advocacy activity, and supporting cross-foundation collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Undertake horizon scanning and provide policy insight, analysis and briefings for senior leaders and trustees
  • Support the design and delivery of influencing and advocacy activity, including convenings and joint initiatives with external partners
  • Conduct research and draft consultation responses aligned with the Foundation’s strategic priorities
  • Contribute to strategic communications by developing clear, evidence-based messages and narratives
  • Work collaboratively across teams to share learning, strengthen organisational insight, and support a small number of grant relationships


Person Specification

  • Experience working in a policy, advocacy, research or influencing environment
  • Strong analytical, research and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Confidence engaging with senior audiences and contributing to strategic discussions
  • A strong commitment to social justice, equity and the values of Paul Hamlyn Foundation


What’s on Offer

Salary: £37,000 per annum
Contract: 12?month fixed-term (full-time, 35 hours per week)
Location: Hybrid working (minimum 40% in the London office)
Flexibility: Part-time and secondment arrangements considered
