The Talent Set are delighted to be working with London's Air Ambulance Charity, supporting them to recruit a Deputy Head of Philanthropy (Trusts) maternity cover. This role will start at a key time in strategy development and long term planning, as they enter the final phase of their incredibly successful Up Against Time Appeal to replace their two helicopters.

As they enter the final phase of the appeal, having raised £11.5m of their £15m target (with a number of further pledges confirmed) this role will focus on developing the long term Trusts fundraising strategy. As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will be tasked with considering the opportunities presented by the new 15 year organisational strategy, and contributing to the wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team plans to ensure they have a strong footing as they look to the long term and next 15 years of London's Air Ambulance Charity. 

As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will not only lead on strategy development but also build and develop the Trusts pipeline, leading and developing the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to improve internal processes and influence/respond to upcoming fundraising opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Trusts and Prospect Research teams and programmes through a year of maternity cover, ensuring both areas are in a strong position on the return of the substantive postholder. 
• Act as LAAC's Trust and Lead Gift (£500k+) fundraising expert, leading the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to be ambitious and consider the long term funding opportunities for the charity. 
• Lead the team through the transition from the Up Against Time Appeal to focus on the new 15 year organisational strategy and opportunities it presents to develop the pipeline for new projects.
• Take ownership of the Trusts, Foundations and Statutory pipeline, leading income generation from these sources with a personal focus on £100k+ opportunities, while informing the organisation's approach to restricted fundraising opportunities.
• Support the development of direct reports and wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team. 

Person Specification:

• Strong sector knowledge and technical expertise of Trust fundraising, with experience of securing £100k+ support from trusts, foundations and/or statutory sources. 
• Demonstrable experience of developing and fundraising for restricted projects, monitoring income and expenditure budgets.
• Effective pipeline development skills and the ability to support a Prospect Research function to identify new opportunities.

Key responsibilities within the Communications Officer role will include:

You will have strong experience in charity financial management, significant operational experience ideally within the charity sector, including HR and people, improving policies and systems, and charity governance. You will be a highly motivated and driven self-starter, able to adapt quickly when priorities change. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of leading internal organisation communications and creating high level reports and presentations. You will also have experience of implementing equality and human rights standards, for example the social work model of disability and anti-racist practices, throughout all areas of work. The ideal candidate may understand key concepts of structural inequality, combined with insight into your own experiences of advantage and disadvantage, and sensitivity and empathy to the rights and needs of colleagues.

You will be coordinating development of new qualifications and ensuring they meet Ofqual requirements. You will also oversee the regular review and improvement of existing qualifications, collaborating with committees, subject experts, and stakeholders to maintain the currency and quality of the client's offerings.

Essential requirements:

• Experience or background in an assessment/qualification/exams setting.
• Experience in an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation would be ideal.
• Direct or indirect exposure to continuous review and development of qualifications/assessments.
• Familiarity with curricula, examination, and assessment strategies.
• Strong project management, organisational, and IT skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A newly created position within the Pennies team, the Financial Accountant will support the Finance Director in running the day-to-day finance function. Managing one direct report (Finance Officer), this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to get involved in a growing organisation.

An overview of the key duties of the role is as follows:

 · Preparation of annual, monthly and periodic budgets, forecasts, and cashflow statements

· Preparation of monthly accounts including relevant variance analysis and commentaries for SMT

· Management of 1 x Finance Officer  

· Preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with current accounting standards

· Preparation and submission of annual returns to HMRC, Companies House and the Charity Commission

· Liaison with auditors, trustees, and advisory board members  

· Preparation of reports for various board meetings

· Maintenance of operational documentation

· Develop and maintain management information and financial dashboard reporting

We’re seeking a skilled corporate fundraiser to lead on a portfolio of significant, strategic partners on a maternity cover contract. You will deliver a high level of stewardship to grow and develop existing relationships, line manage a Corporate Partnerships Manager, and contribute to the development of the corporate partnership strategy.

As Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will: 

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partners at the six-figure+ level, ensuring effective stewardship to strengthen engagement and drive incremental income
• Play a key role in developing the corporate partnership strategy, and contribute to budget planning in collaboration with the Head of Partnerships
• Research, write and pitch compelling funding proposals to renew and uplift existing partnerships, meeting agreed targets and working closely with colleagues across the organisation
• Provide management, support and guidance to the Corporate Partnerships Manager

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Demonstrable experience in managing six-figure+ corporate partnerships in the not-for-profit sector
• Expertise in leading on multi-faceted partnerships, including strategic partnerships
• Experience working with partners across retail and financial services is desirable
• A strategic mindset and ability to think creatively about corporate partnerships, identifying opportunities for uplift and increased engagement among existing partners, fostering a strong sense of connection to the organisation’s mission
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop direct reports, including setting priorities and goals that are achievable, aspirational and inspiring
