As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Training Administrator supports the department through a variety of tasks from the booking and administration of safeguarding training courses run by the Diocese and content management for the training webpages through to the maintenance of the personal safeguarding training record database.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training

• In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
• To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year.  This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
• To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses. 
• Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.

General Administrative 

• Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review. 
• Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings. 
• Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
• Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

As Research Involvement Lead, you’ll be responsible for leading a programme of patient and public involvement in research, a core component of our charity wide involvement strategy. 

This role will ensure that our research strategy and funding programme is shaped by the priorities and needs of people affected by blood cancer. You’ll review and refine our processes to ensure they are in line with sector best practice and that they meet the needs of our community of people affected by blood cancer. You’ll further embed effective and meaningful involvement at all stages of the research cycle at Blood Cancer UK. 

You’ll also work to support the involvement of people affected by blood cancer in external research and strategic projects across the UK. You will ensure that the research we and others fund is patient focussed and has the potential to accelerate progress and deliver the maximum impact for the communities we support.

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team, responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK.

The role is a combination of customer service provision and supply chain coordination with a strong data focus. You will analyse varied datasets to decide how food is distributed across our Network to ensure optimal and sustainable distribution. You will also be responsible for continuing and championing the high levels of customer service we provide to the food industry and our network of Regional Centres.

You will work closely with FareShare’s food suppliers, transport partners, and our Regional Centres to identify and overcome operational challenges to distribution. The successful candidate will also work closely with our Food Commercial team to ensure our food partners receive excellent operational support and customer service. Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements

• Assist Food Team with insight and feedback from food businesses, capturing key account information in our CRM system

Are you a registered Health Care Professional with an interest in the early diagnosis of cancer looking for a new challenge and interested in working in the charitable sector? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Macmillan’s Centre of Clinical Expertise. 

During this two day a week six month role you will be leading on agreed pieces of work focused on the earlier diagnosis of cancer. The specific details of projects are to be confirmed but potential current projects include:

• Investigating ways to address the inequalities in the early diagnosis of bowel cancer 
• Supporting Primary Care Teams to address the inequalities faced by under-represented populations in the earlier diagnosis of cancer 
• The impact of co-morbidities on the earlier diagnosis of cancer, in particular in under-served populations.

You will bring insight, ideas, experience and thought leadership to the role to inform issues impacting on the earlier diagnosis of cancer with a focus on the impact of Health Inequalities. 

About you
We are looking for a motivated and driven individual with evidence of management and clinical leadership experience and a strong interest in the earlier diagnosis of cancer, in particular for those with poorer outcomes. You will need to have good working knowledge of the current healthcare system and be a clinician with strong understanding of the issues impacting cancer diagnosis.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Job Purpose

The National Ophthalmology Database (NOD) is a core Department workstream using clinical audit data to identify improvements and provide advice, to inform patient care, safety, and service delivery. This is a new role working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support the programe manager to deliver activities of the NOD. The post requires strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project support and day-to-day management of the NOD website, including implementation of new developments with the supplier and analysis of usage to suggest areas for improvement.

Main Areas of Work and Responsibility

• Assist the NOD Manager in project planning to identify and track deviations from the project plan and budget, identifying and logging any risks and issues, and improving project procedures
• Support the NOD Manager with administration, project outputs, applying and explaining the information governance, outlier, and other project policies to stakeholders
• Management of the NOD website including liaising with the website supplier, working with the NOD Manager to develop a content schedule, editing content, assisting users with queries, authorising user access

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. We are seeking a Psychometrician for two days per week to lead psychometric analyses and interpret the examination results of the Royal College of Pathologists.

The College is responsible for the delivery of pathology examinations for doctors, scientists, oral pathologists (dentists) and veterinary pathologists in 17 specialties – the Fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). The FRCPath Part 1 is held online and is a test of knowledge while FRCPath Part 2 is held in person around the UK as well as in the Republic of Ireland and, for histopathology, in international centres such as Dubai and Egypt. The College is regulated by the General Medical Council for the medical examinations and the General Dental Council for the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology examinations, but the examinations are open to all appropriately qualified candidates.

The FRCPath examinations are held twice a year in Spring and Autumn and attracts approximately 1,200 candidates per session across the specialties. While some examinations attract up to 200 candidates, some examinations consistently attract very small numbers of candidates, with a number of examination cohorts sitting somewhere in between. The Psychometrician will advise on the appropriate data collection methods for the examinations and undertake psychometric analyses of appropriate examination data for each examination session and will, in time, be asked to provide analysis of longitudinal data.

As the College continues to develop its examinations, the Psychometrician will possess sufficient expertise to provide advice on the appropriate psychometric tests to undertake for the specialty examinations as different formats or methods of delivery are considered.

The examinations are delivered by an examinations team in the College which sits within the Learning Directorate. Each specialty examination is supported by an appropriately qualified panel, led by a Panel Chair, all of whom are overseen by the Clinical Director of Examinations (a pathologist). The Psychometrician will be expected to communicate with a wide range of individuals regarding the College examinations, with varying levels of knowledge about psychometrics, and will provide training for examiners and staff on a regular basis.

The College is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology. There are currently approximately 12,000 members, all of whom are pathologists based in hospitals, universities and laboratories in the UK and overseas. The College’s main tasks are to set and maintain training standards for doctors and scientists, to advice on the appointment of consultant pathologists, to ensure the membership is kept up to date with current practice through the continuing professional development scheme, and to promote the latest developments in pathology by holding scientific meetings.
