Admissions Coordinator

At Yeldall Manor, we have been helping men overcome drug and alcohol addiction for 50 years through our residential rehabilitation programme and Christian recovery community. We believe that lasting recovery is possible and are committed to supporting individuals to rebuild their lives, restore relationships and develop a renewed sense of purpose.

We are looking for a commited Christian to join our Recovery Coordination Team as an organised and proactive Admissions Coordinator. As the first point of contact for prospective residents, commissioners, families and referring agencies, you will play a vital role in ensuring that individuals receive a professional, welcoming and supportive experience from their first enquiry through to admission.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, experience working with vulnerable adults or within health and social care settings, and a passion for helping people begin their recovery journey.

What will you do?

• Manage enquiries from prospective residents, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals and referral agencies.
• Line manage admissions officers 
• Coordinate the admissions process from initial enquiry through assessment and admission.
• Conduct and arrange admissions interviews, both in person and remotely.
• Review referrals, risk assessments, professional reports and supporting information.
• Assess suitability of applicants against programme criteria and make recommendations regarding admission.
• Maintain regular communication with applicants, referrers and commissioners throughout the admissions journey.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, probation services, healthcare professionals and partner organisations.
• Coordinate admission arrangements, funding approvals and placement planning.
• Maintain accurate admissions records, databases and documentation.
• Produce admissions, occupancy and referral reports as required.
• Support the promotion of Yeldall Manor's services through networking, stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
• Assist with resident collections from approved locations where required, including detox units, prisons and transport hubs.

What are we looking for?

• Experience working within health, social care, addiction recovery, rehabilitation, housing or related services.
• Strong administration, organisation and record-keeping skills.
• Experience of handling referrals, applications, assessments or admissions processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop positive and professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith, ability to encourage others in their faith and able to support the Yeldall Basis of Faith, Ethos Statement and values
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and databases.
• Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and risk management.
• Knowledge of addiction, recovery and rehabilitation services.
• A compassionate, professional and person-centred approach.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.

You will be someone who thrives on supporting people at critical points in their lives. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and confident communicating with professionals, commissioners, families and prospective residents.

Most importantly, you will be committed to helping individuals take the first steps towards recovery while ensuring every applicant is treated with dignity, respect and compassion. We welcome applications from people in recovery; however, due to the nature of the role and the support provided to residents, a minimum of two years' sustained recovery (clean time) is required.
