Ideal role for a company accountant / bookkeeper (must be at least AAT qualified) to manage the day-to-day accounts, as well as to contribute to the wider operations of this highly successful education provider that runs schools and teacher training using the Montessori approach.

Specifically, as Finance and Operations Officer, reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA), your remit will include:

• accounts receivable/payable, credit control, reconciliations, and audit preparation;
• providing financial and operational support to staff throughout the organisation;
• supporting HoFA to prepare and deliver accurate and regular management accounts, budgets and forecasts, one-off finance reports, and grant reporting;
• overseeing facilities management, ensuring the maintenance and security of all buildings;
• working with School and Training Centre staff to carry out risk assessments where appropriate and monitor all sites to ensure that they are carried out and comply with risk assessments; and
• overseeing Early Years Funding (EYF) for all school sites.

Key requirements include:

• AAT qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
• strong numeracy skills and confidence handling financial information, with experience of bookkeeping or finance systems (e.g., Sage 50) or a willingness to learn
• an understanding of facilities, health and safety, and data protection.

Equally important will be your excellent organisational skills; your initiative; a hands-on approach and a proven track record of seeing projects through to completion. Good oral and written communication skills are also key.

Experience within a school and / or not-for-profit organisation is desirable, albeit not essential. Experience with grant management processes would also be highly desirable.

About the Role

We are excited to be expanding our community approach for care experienced children and young people at Become. We have created this new post and are looking for a creative, welcoming coordinator to help us grow and meet the needs of our community. The postholder will coordinate the welcome experience, the community space, and the communications with the group. As such you will need to have an eye for detail to make sure that we’re engaging a diverse group across all areas of England, be a great communicator across individual, small group and entire community communications, and be able to deliver on small projects working across Become’s teams. Purpose of the Role  

To coordinate Imkaan’s engagement with parliamentary spaces, campaigns, and influencing work. The postholder will support the organisation’s advocacy strategies, develop political communications, and strengthen relationships with policymakers, stakeholders, and the media to further the rights and recognition of Black and Minoritised women and girls affected by violence.  
The Parliamentary and Campaigns Coordinator will lead Imkaan’s parliamentary engagement and campaigning activity, ensuring the voices and experiences of Black and Minoritised women and girls are heard at the highest levels of decision-making. 

You will build relationships with MPs, peers, parliamentary committees, and government departments, track legislation and policy developments, and coordinate public campaigns to influence change. You will also work closely with Imkaan’s members to support grassroots mobilisation and bring frontline voices into national conversations. 

This is a strategic and creative role for someone with strong political instincts, excellent communication skills, and a deep commitment to justice for Black and Minoritised women and girls. 

 Key Responsibilities  

1) Campaign Strategy and Development 

• Support the design and delivery of evidence-based campaigns aligned with Imkaan’s strategic priorities. 

• Work with internal teams to craft campaign messages informed by research and sector data. 

• Develop and deliver campaigns that highlight the lived experiences and rights of Black and Minoritised women and girls 

• Work with the Communications Coordinator to create campaign messaging and digital content aligned with Imkaan’s values. Support the mobilisation of members and allies around key policy moments (e.g. consultations, votes, legislation) 

• Monitor impact of campaigns and contribute to cross-organisational reflection and learning. 

• Contribute to cross-organisational policy influencing strategy and calendar 

• Track political developments, maintain contact records and parliamentary timelines 

• Ensure alignment between parliamentary work and Imkaan’s wider research, policy, and membership activity. 

• Support the Policy and Research Manager and Executive Director with high-level influencing opportunities and responses. 

2) Policy and Parliamentary Engagement 

• Monitor UK parliamentary activity, including debates, inquiries, and relevant policy developments. 

• Prepare briefings, reports, and policy responses for government and parliamentary audiences. 

• Coordinate engagement with central/local government and VAWG coalitions. 

• Build and maintain relationships with MPs, peers, parliamentary researchers, and civil servants 

• Track and respond to relevant legislation, debates, select committee work, and inquiries.

• Prepare Imkaan representatives and members for parliamentary meetings and public speaking engagements

• Disseminate Imkaan’s work and campaigns across the membership and wider VAWG sector. 

• Represent member interests within campaigns and coordinate cross-sector advocacy. 

• Support members to engage in political and public campaigning, including training, resources, and shared actions 

• Ensure campaigns reflect the priorities of frontline organisations and are shaped through regular consultation 

• Work collaboratively with partners and allies across the women’s, anti-racist, and human rights sectors.

• Evaluate campaign activities against strategic objectives and funder requirements. 

• Contribute to planning documents, project reports, and performance tracking systems.

Essential Experience

The Ogden Trust is a family charitable trust which supports the teaching and learning of physics. Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

This is a fundamental role within our South regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. About the Department/Role

The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.

The Church's aspiration is that safeguarding is not experienced and approached as a matter of administrative compliance. Rather, it should be what the Church is - something that flows from its core beliefs and values, part of its DNA.

The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being. The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).

What you'll be doing

The Church of England seeks a committed and collaborative Safeguarding Policy Officer to join the National Safeguarding Team. This role is central to developing, revising, and implementing national safeguarding policies that protect and support all members of the Church community.

Working closely with Safeguarding Policy and Development Leads, you'll ensure policies are grounded in academic research, aligned with legislation and canon law, and informed by survivor experiences and Church-wide learning.

In this role, you will:

• Co-manage the development and roll-out of safeguarding policies, codes of practice and guidance
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including survivors, bishops, Diocesan Safeguarding Officers, and Church bodies
• Ensure policy relevance across dioceses, parishes, cathedrals, religious communities, and theological institutions
• Lead the coordination and improvement of the safeguarding e-manual
• Engage with NCIs departments to embed safeguarding policy into wider initiatives
• Support the NST's learning and review cycle to refine policies over time
• Represent survivor perspectives within policy, training, and quality assurance activities
• Provide briefings and respond to safeguarding queries from Church bodies
• Take ownership of non-legislative content creation related to safeguarding

Key role requirements

• A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.
• This is a hybrid role, and working arrangements can be discussed with the hiring manager.
• Please note: This is a fixed-term opportunity, and we are seeking to appoint three candidates across the following contracts:
  • 1 position: 2-year fixed-term contract
  • 2 positions: 15-month fixed-term contracts

• A degree is not required for this role; however, the candidate will need to evidence at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar field

• Confident working collaboratively across internal and external partnerships
• Able to lead and facilitate stakeholder groups to achieve outcomes
• Able to build trusted relationships with varied stakeholders, including survivors and Church colleagues
• Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with individuals from all backgrounds, both written and verbal
• Experience in producing clear, effective policy and guidance for a range of audiences.
• Knowledge of national safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance and policy (e.g. Children Acts, Care Act, Working Together, criminal justice legislation), both current and historical, as relevant to non-recent abuse.

• A salary of £48,557 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

RLSS UK has a proud history of helping to reduce the number of lives lost to drowning through the fantastic work undertaken by their volunteers, staff, trustees, and members who advocate for and promote water safety in the communities they serve. The charity utilises their extensive, world-leading knowledge of water safety and training in developing a comprehensive range of vocational qualifications and a series of awards and education programmes, which all have the ultimate aim of preventing drowning and stopping unnecessary loss of life. Their portfolio includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - the premier lifeguard training programme.

The Director of Income Generation and Engagement will be responsible for diversifying and developing RLSS UK’s income streams, predominately through fundraising. The role will also be accountable for strengthening and developing the RLSS UK brand, increasing visibility, growing engagement levels and income through enhanced presence and public awareness. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and implement an organisation wide income generation and engagement strategy, which is aligned with organisational goals and aimed at providing long-term and sustainable income sources. Growing and fostering a high performing and motivated team, with excellent working relationships across the organisation, will be key.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in fundraising/income generation roles in a not-for-profit context.

• Experience in and/or understanding of operating in a commercially motivated environment embracing wide income generation opportunities.
• Track record of managing teams, both salaried and volunteers, to deliver income targets, and with a proven ability to recruit, train and monitor performance.
