About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Communications and Campaigns Lead to deliver high-impact public communications and campaigns that strengthen Z2K’s profile, influence change and support our fundraising goals.

Experience of in person mobilisation would be an added advantage.

You will have knowledge around the Mental Health complexities that residents can face, and have a can-do attitude which can help empower the team to deliver their KPI's. We look for:

Pact (the Prison Advice & Care Trust) is a pioneering national charity that supports individuals in custody, those with criminal convictions in the community, and their families. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Development Officer to join our Families Together Project in South Yorkshire.

About the role

The Development Officer will be responsible for delivering Family Forums within HMP Lindholme and HMP Moorland, supporting the Development Manager with Professionals Forums and training, and engaging with families and partner agencies in the community. This role plays a vital part in improving the lives of people impacted by imprisonment by fostering engagement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver monthly Family Forums within each prison.
• Engage families and ensure their voices are heard.
• Monitor and track progress from Family Forums.
• Build relationships with prison departments and community agencies.
• Support logistics for Professionals Forums and other events.
• Recruit and manage volunteers with a person-centred approach.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Experience in working with families affected by imprisonment and knowledge of safeguarding and data protection policies are desirable.

Additional Requirements

Building Independence
One of those priorities is their Building Independence portfolio. Building independence prioritises supporting organisations working with young people aged 14 to 25. Too many lack the support, relationships, or safe spaces they need – especially those leaving care, excluded from school, living with a learning disability or navigating life as an LGBTQ+ young person.

The foundation fund work that helps young people to raise aspirations, build confidence and feel equipped for the next stage of life. They also support work that joins up fragmented services and pushes for policies that reflect the real experiences of young people. Through their partners, they want to help young people not just get by but move forward with purpose. They also want to help create the conditions where young people shape the communities and systems around them too

The Role
The role of Grants Manager will work to support the successful delivery of grant within the Building Independence Portfolio. This includes the undertaking of grant application assessment, participation in application decision meetings and undertake visits to meet organisations working in this area. You will support this work by undertaking complimentary policy research, building a deeper sector knowledge to support the development and continuous improvement of the fund.

The Candidate
Successful candidates will come with experience, or understanding, of grant making, particularly with understanding of youth voice and systems change. They’re looking to bring someone in with a good understanding of the principles of good grant making. This includes knowing the terminology and grant making practices.  

Candidates will also need to come into the organisation with an understanding of how youth voice can shape work. The foundation want to strengthen organisations that do youth voice work well. Candidates will need to come into this role with an understanding of youth voice and associated language.  

They are also keen on candidates with experience, or understanding of, systems change. This can take many shapes and sizes, as long as the work candidates have delivered has been focused on changing and adapting systems for beneficiaries.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will focus on supporting the delivery of trauma-informed, co-produced, and developmentally appropriate interventions across Poverty and VEX services.  You will be expected to build strong local partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies, representing St Giles in regional networks and multi-agency forums, plus provide line management, supervision, and coaching to up to eight practitioners working across dispersed locations, which will also include acting as safeguarding lead for your team.

We will count on you to drive performance against KPIs, contractual outcomes, and quality standards, using data and client feedback to inform service development, and to support service reviews, audits, and quality improvement initiatives across both pillar areas.  Supporting recruitment, induction, and training for staff across the Wales and South-West region is also a key aspect of this role.

What we are looking for

•  In-depth knowledge and experience of implementing safeguarding policy and legislation affecting children, young people, and adults at risk, including in cross-border (England/Wales) contexts
• Proven ability to lead and manage diverse and geographically dispersed teams in complex, high-pressure environments across multiple contracts and thematic areas
• Strong understanding of the drivers of poverty, violence, and exploitation and the systems that shape exclusion
• Experience using quality assurance frameworks, audits, and data to drive service improvement
• Familiarity with contract management, KPIs, and performance frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written
• A professional, collaborative and flexible approach to your work
