Would you like to drive and support the development of Stour Trust's narrative, story telling, communucations and engagments? The organisation is an at exciting stage have delivered a wide range of projects within land justice, civic power and policy. 

You will be a key asset in project development, design and delivery and will work with the team to ensure that activities are executed.

Stour Trust CIC is a social enterprise which aims to improve the social and economic lives and wellbeing of local people by innovating new models of community-led regeneration through provision of genuinely affordable housing, community, work and cultural spaces. We seek to:

• Democratise access to built space and assets through influencing policies to deliver racial, social and economic justice for under-represented communities.

• Remove the disconnect between local communities and the buildings/assets that exist within them to serve the common good.

• Support the development of art and creative practice across communities, partnering with educational institutions, local organisations and government stakeholders to meet this vision.

SCOPE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead on Stour Trust's website redevelopment, liaising with our freelance web designer, freelance copywriters and other parties as needed.

2. Build Stour Trust’s key resource and information bank for the organisation's communication output to be used for websites, funding and events.

3. Lead on collating relevant research, legacy and archived work, frameworks, guides and case studies.

4. Develop key comms messaging for Stour Trust's social media platforms.

5. Support copy and narrative writing for the organisation's mission areas..

6. Support Stour Trust's three strategic project areas: Land & Spatial Justice, Racial & Economic Justice and Policy.

7. Develop project delivery frameworks and timelines to support clear accountability and communication for projects, using project management tools

8. Develop simple pitch decks, posters, case studies and proposals for partners or collaborators and manage sub-contractors as needed.

9. Support key partnerships and relationships keeping the team up to date on key events.

10. Attend relevant in-person and virtual meetings and sessions to support the team.

11. Manage a small budget in relation to projects including website development.

12. Support other areas of Stour Trust's work.

Summary

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ASSISTANT CASE OFFICER TO WORK WITHIN OUR MISSION AND PASTORAL SERVICES TEAM

The Church Commissioners have the governance and management responsibility for the Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011, which provides a regulatory framework which enables the Church to support the provision of local worship, mission and ministry, and to adapt that provision as circumstances change over time. The Measures provides a decision-making process for changes relating to pastoral change, ministry provision change and church building change. The Commissioners also deal with processes under the Church Property Measure 2018 and the Church Commissioners' Chancel Repair Liability Measure.

The purpose of the role is to oversee and manage the decision making processes and provide advice under the Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011 (MPM), the Church Property Measure 2018 (CPM), and related legislation (including the Patronage (Benefices) Measure 1986 and the Church Representation Rules, and responsibilities relating to chancel repair liability (CRL). A major part of the team's role is to support the transition from the existing MPM, to a new Measure, and the related transition programme which will be rolled out to dioceses and parishes over between 2024 to 2027.

The Assistant CO post will work with mainly with the M&PS case officers to decision making and case work under the requirements of the legislation set out above. They will also work closely with the team managers to plan and manage the casework load and support the decision making processes of the Mission, Pastoral and Church Property Committee.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct research into a range of technical and legal matters, including verifying the legal names of parishes and benefices, patronage details, and responding to related queries.

• Draft and publish Mission and Pastoral Measure (MPM) schemes for consultation, ensuring accuracy and clarity throughout the process.

• Support Case Officers in presenting MPM or Church Property Measure (CPM) decisions to the Mission, Pastoral and Church Property Committee, and assist with any subsequent appeals.

• Assist the M&PS Operations Manager in planning committee visits, public hearings, and other operational tasks associated with committee meetings.

• Contribute to the planning and monitoring of casework and performance reporting, working closely with the M&PS Operations Manager.

• Coordinate and manage internal and external meeting processes related to the above functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

• Provide administrative support for the implementation of the new Mission and Pastoral Measure and the Measure concerning Chancel Repair Liability.

• Offer support in record management and data governance, including preparing briefings and information for performance and risk management purposes using dedicated data systems.

• Help the M&PS Operations Manager with planning and coordinating team activities such as monthly meetings, away days, and special events.

• Assist with communications activities, including the distribution of regular e-newsletters to diocesan teams.

• Support the coordination and promotion of the diocesan training programme.

• Assist with financial processes related to departmental expenditure, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Contribute to audit and risk management processes, maintaining high standards of accountability.

• Provide briefings and information to support internal NCI processes, including responses to General Synod or Parliamentary questions, and preparing materials for the Board of Governors and senior officers.

• Deliver general administrative support to the M&PS team, including handling post and printing tasks.

• Undertake any required specialist or generalist training to support the role effectively.

• A salary of £40,572, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

The Role

The Social Value Specialist will support SNG to embed impact measurement and social value into teams across the organisation, providing a central, efficient point of contact that leads on developing systems, processes and continuous service improvement.

You will engage with supply chain partners to ensure the delivery of social value in contracts and enable seamless customer service using digital platforms and relationships with community partners.

Connect with team members across the organisation to deliver impact reports and support in creating our annual ESG report.

The Social Value Specialist will report to the Social Value Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement a community investment evaluation and monitoring framework, in direct alignment with the community foundation strategy and strategy and the corporate plan
• Work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary community investment directorate and with other internal teams in the customer directorate across localities to embed a framework for social impact and outcomes recording
• Support the Social Value Manager to provide regular social impact and environmental social, governance (ESG) reporting to the communities' leadership team and to senior management and board when required
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation methods and processes for Community Foundation projects and roll out good practice to colleagues and external partners so we can effectively demonstrate our Social Impact
• Lead and support internal teams and external partners in the upload of data such as KPIs onto impact measurement platform for the business, ensuring that information is accurate and easily accessible when required
• Demonstrate strong project management skills to lead and oversee project teams across SNG and with external partners that will bring in external funding
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including funders, businesses, local authorities and national agencies as required by the Head of Service and managers
• Work closely with the communications team to enable a coordinated communications approach that raises the profile of SNG's work in communities
• Prepare and present written, financial and statistical reports to internal and external bodies as required and ensure funders requirements are met

 What we need from you

A good understanding of HACT's Wellbeing Valuation and Social Value Insight would be an advantage, but this is not essential. It would be great if you have some knowledge or experience of working in communities, supply chains and or, monitoring and evaluation.

As the Arts Administrator you will be an important part of the team, working across the curatorial and engagement programmes to provide essential support in all aspects of our

· Support on the development and execution of a comprehensive social media content strategy, aligned with Alzheimer’s Research UK’s mission and goals.

Content planning and Scheduling

· Working alongside the rest of the social media team to plan content within our management platform ‘Sprout Social’ and ensure we are maximising opportunities across our socials such as Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.

· Identify optimal posting times and frequency to maximise audience engagement and reach.

· Work with the in-house video and design experts to produce eye-catching and compelling new assets which engage audiences with our brand message, raise awareness of dementia and dementia research and increase our reach and followers.

· Work with our senior social media officer to plan and deliver impactful video content across channels. Identifying opportunities to optimise long and short form video for the channels.

· Identify and encourage the use of sharable third-party and user generated content which aligns with Alzheimer’s Research UK’s brand messaging to support creative campaigns and initiatives.

Audience engagement and Relationship Building

· Monitor interactions across Alzheimer’s Research UK’s socials, proactively engaging with supporters to ensure they receive a positive experience.

· Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining high level of attention to detail to the brand voice in all social interactions.

· Be a confident and proficient communicator, able to adopt an appropriate tone of voice for each of our different audience types (including the communication of complex or sensitive issues. Able to communicate sensitively on several issues in a timely manner.

Reporting and Trend Analysis

· Produce insight driven and eye-catching regular reports on content for teams across the charity, to communicate key successes and areas for development, using your expertise and knowledge about the platforms.

Our employability team deliver a suite of careers focused programmes and activities to school and university aged young people. This includes Pathways to Law, Pathways to Banking and Finance and Pathways to Engineering, each providing young people with support and expertise in accessing higher education/apprenticeships, work experience opportunities, and skills development. Each programme hosts a national residential conference, giving students the chance to live and learn in a university environment. During the conferences our students have the opportunity to network with industry professionals, take part in a range of skills sessions and project, receive expert guidance on studying and careers, and experience university life through social activities and overnight stays in student halls.

We’re looking for a highly organised individual with a proven track record in event management to lead on the delivery of our residential conferences. Alongside our in-person residential activities this role will also coordinate some online activity for the Pathways to Medicine programme and a lead on a range of projects designed to enhance the impact of the Sutton Trust employability activities.

The post will report to our Senior Programmes Manager for Employability, working closely with the wider employability team, including line management of an intern/assistant and matrix management of team members when required.

Main duties

Designing and delivering the Trust’s residential conferences, currently one event per year for each Pathways programme (Law, Banking & Finance, and Engineering). This includes

• Organising and managing event logistics, such as venues, catering, facilities and accommodation
• Designing activities, content and timetables in line with the programme Theory of Change
• Ensuring residential conferences are risk assessed and run in accordance with latest health and safety guidelines
• Ensuring all activities are planned and delivered in line with safeguarding polices and best practice standards, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all participants
• Overseeing all residential conference administration and pre-event processes, including attendee selection, communications, and requirement gathering
• Managing relationships and coordinating delivery with multiple programme stakeholders including university partners, employers, session facilitators and volunteer speakers
• Managing the residential programmes budget
• Line management of the Employability intern/ assistant, and effectively delegating work for other support staff as required

Responsibility for onsite delivery of each residential conference, this will include:

• Overseeing events of between 90 – 150 students, including multiple overnight stays
• Being the primary contact for staff, volunteers and partners
• Overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, training and management of temporary conference staff; managing staff teams of up to 70 people
• Ensuring all activities and events are run on time and on schedule
• Responding to student concerns and pastoral issues

Further year-round responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordinating additional online events and activities across the suite of Pathways programmes, including Pathways to Medicine

Person Specification

You will ensure a consistent pipeline of applications to meet your performance indicators and collate information from across the organisation to produce funder reports.

 You will have significant and demonstrable experience of fundraising from major Trusts and Foundations. You will have excellent project management skills, be skilled at writing compelling funding bids, be highly numerate and a great team player and collaborator. Previous experience or interest in the youth or education charity sector would be an advantage.
