We are seeking an Access to Justice (A2J) Coordinator to coordinate the provision of vital diagnostic immigration advice for vulnerable migrants. The role will coordinate the diagnostic advice appointment pathway from start to finish. This includes:

• Receiving, processing and triaging new enquiries for support
• Working with the Immigration Team to identify appropriate cases to be offered diagnostic advice
• Coordinating advice appointments with specialist external advisors and confirming the appointment details with the person receiving advice
• Disseminating written advice notes from the Advisors
• Coordinating follow-up actions, including referral into HMC’s Immigration Team for casework support (approx. 40% of people who access diagnostic advice are provided with onward support by HMC) or providing appropriate signposting for those we cannot offer long term support.

Your role

As Senior Philanthropy Manager (Events), you will lead War Child’s high-value events programme, engaging high-net-worth supporters and Global Ambassadors to maximise income from major donors. You will focus on shaping and delivering the donor engagement strategy for high-value events, working collaboratively with colleagues to maximise fundraising impact. You will partner closely with the Ambassador & Advocate Manager, who is responsible for operational planning and delivery of events across War Child.

This role requires a strategic thinker who is comfortable building trusted relationships with high-net-worth individuals, C-Suite level executives, philanthropists and senior event volunteers and advisors, managing multiple priorities, and operating confidently in a high-profile environment.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the development of the philanthropy team’s high-value events portfolio, ensuring events are strategically designed to support cultivation and stewardship goals, including those hosted by Global Ambassadors.
• Advise the Head of Philanthropy on the development of War Child’s high-value events strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance impact and income.
• Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Philanthropy Lead to deliver income targets, contributing to wider team strategy and planning.
• Act as the team’s subject matter expert on high-value events, setting clear objectives and KPIs to measure success over time.
• Build and manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals involved in events, including event committees and advisory boards. Identify and progress prospects to develop long term, high-value relationships, progressing event attendees through the major donor pipeline.
• Represent the team at events, building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring a high-quality donor experience.
• Use Salesforce to provide donor insights and guidance on high value events, including guest list management, briefings evaluations, and development of data dashboards to inform future event strategy track attendee journeys, and assess long-term value.
• Working closely with the Research & Insights Manager, to produce high-quality, post event evaluations using an insights led approach to continuously improve philanthropic events.
• Ensure philanthropy messaging and donor experience at events reflect War Child’s values and impact.
• Collaborate across War Child UK and the War Child Alliance building strong internal working relationships that benefit the high-value events strategy.
• Engage senior leadership, trustees and key external stakeholders in high-value events where appropriate, providing briefings and strategic advice to maximise their effectiveness.
• Represent the Philanthropy function in cross-organisational projects, helping to shape strategic initiatives that strengthen philanthropic engagement and provide inspirational departmental leadership.
• Provide first-rate line management to the Philanthropy Assistant, modelling excellence in management that will result in line reports thriving in their role, with high standards of performance and behaviour.
• Monitor progress against income targets and contribute to accurate forecasting, reporting and budget planning.
• Contribute to organisational learning by capturing insights from event attendee interactions, staying up to date on sector trends and proactively identifying new opportunities.
• Champion best practice in fundraising, data protection, and donor care, ensuring compliance and ethical standards at all times.
• Always maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current activities of War Child and be an advocate of the War Child brand.
• Responsible for creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children, and adults and compliant to War Child’s Safeguarding and PSEAH (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment) policies.

You are

•  Confident, engaging high value events specialist and fundraiser with exceptional networking and interpersonal skills (for both internal and external audiences) who can inspire high net worth and high-profile individuals to support War Child’s mission
• ·Significant experience in a similar special events/high value events role, with a specialist knowledge of high net worth major donor fundraising ideally within an international development or humanitarian NGO so you can present War Child’s work with authority.
• Experience advising on and optimising high-value supporter engagement at events, with a strategic understanding of how to deepen relationships through tailored experiences and be confident working alongside high profile individuals and Ambassadors who support our events
• Able to work independently in a target led environment with a proven track record of delivering successful high value fundraising events that achieve results, delivering against targets (including securing six-figure targets) and income growth.
• An excellent communicator, confident in managing relationships at all levels, influencing and negotiating as well as writing compelling formal and informal communications.
• Strong experience of project leadership and organisation including critically evaluating activities to achieve strategic priorities and maximise their effectiveness.
• Able to understand and clearly articulate international development issues and trends including War Child’s vision, mission and values and present War Child’s work with authority.
• Organised and able to plan and prioritise to meet multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Flexible and committed to supporting high-profile donor engagement, including attendance at events in the evenings or on occasional weekends, as part of delivering a sector-leading fundraising programme.
• Experience in line management is desirable but not essential.
• Up to date knowledge of fundraising regulation, compliance and GDPR, and its implications for fundraising policy and practise. Experience of using a CRM database, such as Salesforce.

You will be working within Galop’s specialist advocacy services, providing support to LGBT victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK. You will work within the advocacy team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to thousands of LGBT victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year. 
 
You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors and hold responsibility for part of the operational team management. Your work will focus on needs across all specialisms within Galop: domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, so-called honour-based abuse and conversion practices as they pertain to children and young people. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care. 
 
You will manage a small number of specialist young people’s advocates providing needs-led support, information and advocacy to LGBT victims and survivors. You will also be responsible for scheduling team meetings and reflective spaces and support in chairing these spaces. You will support with ensuring the needs of the wider Children and Young People’s (CYP)  team are understood and opportunities for them to develop their practice are created.
 
As Team Lead, you may also be the first point of contact that many LGBT victims and survivors of abuse and violence have within the National Advocacy and Support team. You will be partly responsible for triaging new referrals that come into service from across the UK and allocating them to the Children and Young People’s team. Your work will enable LGBT people to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.

Your work will enable LGBT people who live outside of London and in rural areas to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.
 
You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related experiences of hate crime including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.
 
You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence but be part of the Hate Crime team. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with partner organisations in the CATCH partnership, our Pan-London Hate Crime service, by attending meetings and trainings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

How are staff supported to work remotely?

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

This role leads the day-to-day operational management and development of WGN’s Clinical Services, ensuring the delivery of innovative, safe, high-quality, survivor-centred, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support for survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG). • Support therapists, High Intensity Therapists (HITs) and honorary counsellors through clinical guidance, recruitment, induction, reflective practice, wellbeing initiatives and ongoing professional development, embedding anti-oppressive, intersectional and survivor-centred practice.

• Lead on safeguarding and multi-agency working, supporting practitioners to respond effectively to risk, maintain safe practice and ensure consistent documentation and ethical information sharing.

• Oversee clinical governance and quality assurance, ensuring adherence to professional standards, robust data protection and confidentiality practices, and the development of clinical protocols and guidance.

Role Purpose:

The Fundraising & Marketing team’s purpose is to advocate for and raise flexible and unrestricted funding to enable Womankind to deliver it’s 2030 organisational strategy.

The Individual Giving Manager will lead and deliver strategic planning and management of all individual giving, community fundraising and legacy income. The role is responsible for growing and sustaining Womankind’s individual donor base to increase flexible, unrestricted funding, using digital and traditional channels and other innovative approaches.

Areas of responsibilities:

• Strategy & planning – Lead Womankind’s individual giving strategy including individual giving, legacy giving and community fundraising, across digital and offline channels, driving supporter engagement and long-term giving in line with Womankind’s brand and strategy.

• People management and leadership - Provide effective line management to the Fundraising & Database Officer and Fundraising & Marketing Officer, including regular 1-to-1s, annual appraisals, and support for professional development in line with Womankind’s policies.

• Internally : line manage the Fundraising & Database Officer and the Fundraising & Marketing Officer, work closely with the wider Fundraising, Communications and Finance and Resources teams, and consult with the Feminist Grantmaking and Partnerships and Policy and Advocacy teams.

Person Specification :

Essential Experience:

• Proven experience in managing digital fundraising programmes, with a track record of achieving income targets and driving growth

• Demonstrable experience of direct marketing (both donor development and donor acquisition campaigns) and demonstrable understanding of database marketing principles

• Experience of writing engaging and inspiring copy for a range of media with outstanding written communication skills with consistent attention to detail

• Proven ability to prepare, maintain and report on annual income and expenditure budgets. This should include routine use of spreadsheet packages

• Experience of using Beacon or an equivalent fundraising database to a high level, to carry out campaign analysis and to prepare management information

• Experience of staff or volunteer management

• Proven experience of managing external suppliers

• Extensive experience of fundraising from a UK individual giving audience

Essential Travel requirements: the role requires a willingness for occasional overseas travel. This may involve an overnight stay.

Desirable:

• Experience of managing legacy marketing and community fundraising

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of the UK regulatory environment for fundraising from individuals including data protection, Gift Aid and Fundraising Codes of Practice and regulation

• Self-motivated with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, work to deadlines and work on own initiative

• Ability to work proactively as part of a team and collaboratively across teams

• A credible, confident self starter with a collaborative working style and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

How are staff supported to work remotely?  

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.  

When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).   

VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.
