We are looking for a temporary Translations Editor to provide excellent project management and quality assurance of Portuguese (Brazilian) and Spanish translations of Tearfund's resources.
The Communications for Development (C4D) team champions and supports the sharing of learning and knowledge across Tearfund's international work. The role sits within a team that manages translations in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Many of these translations are completed by freelance translators before being reviewed by team members. About the role

- At least a Masters’ degree in a social science subject or other relevant discipline
- Good understanding of public policy analysis and research methods
- Capacity to undertake literature-based research and synthesis of information
- Commitment to inclusive social policy
- Ability to work under and commit to strict deadlines
- Ability to work in different country contexts and challenging environments, including working overseas for extended periods of time
- A commitment to being pro-active in their work
- Excellent drafting skills in English and good numeracy skills
- An additional language would be advantageous and
- Experience of working in international development would also be advantageous.

We are looking for four individuals to take on these new and strategic roles within BMS.
Working closely with the Director for Mission, the Heads of Programme (HoPs) will take responsibility for one of BMS’ key programmatic areas of work (Most Marginalised, Least Evangelised, People on the Move) or its Capacity Strengthening and Cross-cutting themes (including gender justice and creation stewardship), while also sharing in the team leadership of the Department for World Mission.
HoPs will line manage specialist leads and oversee the management of BMS mission workers and others, within the team they are responsible for. Oversight of the programme will involve ensuring BMS delivers on its agreed strategic goals and is able to adapt to the changing missional needs of our work with partners around the world.
The successful applicant will be a committed Christian. The nature of this role means that this is a specific occupational requirement.
Location: Didcot, UK or within an international mission context where BMS works
Hours: 35 hrs per week/full-time
Employment: Permanent
Salary range: Salary set at the national equivalent of a UK salary of £42,646-47,865 based on relative national salary levels of the relevant Global South/BMS mission context, and increasing in periodic increments to the top of the band

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Donor Relations Manager to play a vital role in the development of relationships with Reall’s key donors, driving quality contract management and compliance across the organisation and provide general support to the Fundraising team. This will include reviewing, interpreting, drafting, amending, and negotiating various types of contracts and negotiating new ones working collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on and develop strong relations with Reall’s existing and prospective donors.
- Ensure comprehensive understanding of funder stakeholder needs and convey this understanding across the wider Reall team as required.
- Ensure compliance against all contractual obligations in collaboration with other divisions across the organisation.
- Manage funder due diligence assessments, monitor progress against agreed delivery targets and budgets, fulfil all reporting requirements,
- Negotiate new donor contracts and lead on operationalising new contracts
You will have
- Good knowledge and experience of fundraising and major funders
- Proven experience in contract management and an understanding of different contract structures including frameworks, single service agreements and supplier terms is essential.
- You will have sound contract awareness and judgement, with an ability to provide focussed contractual advice proportionate to the legal, reputational, and operational risks inherent in the task at hand.
