The Citizens Theatre is Glasgow’s major producing theatre and one of the leading theatre companies in the UK. • To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.

About the Role:

The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.

A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

• To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values throughout the Herts Haven Cafe Service.

The main responsibility of this role is to assist the Head of Resources in the efficient and smooth running of financial functional activities of the charity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.

2. Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Head of Resources and assisting in developing and maintaining all financial reporting within the charity.

3. Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the charity’s annual income and expenditure budget.

4. Assisting in monthly bank reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts.

5. Dealing with finance related queries from staff, senior management, supporters, and suppliers.

6. Maintenance and reconciliation of direct debits, standing orders and other online donations.

7. Supporting the financial controller in the planning and preparation of statutory accounts and the annual audit.

We are looking for an experienced partnership lead to join our team and play a key role in embedding both this programme and the wider ROS service offering, within the NHS and key healthcare partnerships to ensure this support is accessible to as wide a range of people as possible.

The Role

This is a key new role in the Grants, Community and Corporate Partnerships Unit to help maximise corporate and community partnership opportunities and help scale up this growing income stream for future years.  This locally based role will support current partnerships (including golf clubs, churches, schools and local corporates) as well as scoping new opportunities across Surrey. Representing Eikon in person at events, meetings, exhibitions as well event coordination are important components of this the role. We are a diverse, highly experienced team who share a passion to support the wellbeing and mental health of young people across Surrey.

Responsibilities

1. Account Management

• Day to day/ support account management of select corporate and community partnerships. This will be agreed with their manager per partnership (who will retain leadership), but could include:
  • General stewardship including thanking and recording information on our CRM database (Donorfy) and shared drives.
  • Representing the unit at local level events and/ or delivering marketing materials to community partners.
  • Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates
• Being key relationship holder for select local corporate partnerships and community groups such as primary schools, churches, supermarkets, amateur sports clubs
• Database admin including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements 
• Supporting individuals from companies or community groups to fundraise for us

2. Income generation

• Mapping (desktop research) of corporate and community opportunities across Surrey to support unit’s business development plans
• Management of a pipeline of golf clubs, making timely approaches to help the unit secure new captains’ charities
• Support role on larger corporate and community partnership pitches. 

3. Event support

• Event management and/ or support for events across the unit. 
• Represent Eikon at local external events such as conferences, expos, fetes and fairs.
• Actively seeking prize donations for auctions, raffles and events
• Attending community led fundraising events such as quizzes or mufti days run by corporate & community organisations.

4. Marketing, Communications and relationships

• Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials as well as maximising social media opportunities for corporate and community groups
• Coordinate bespoke mass communications to corporate and community groups e.g. appeals, reports and updates.

5. Strategy

• Contribute to Development Team strategies, annual plans and budgets

6. Staff management

• Take part in regular supervision and team meetings.
• No line management requirement

7. Quality and standards

• Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.
• Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
• Prepare relevant Partnership Agreements and Commercial Participator Agreements.
• Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.
• Carry out required due diligence on new corporate opportunities and ensure the company’s values do not conflict with the values or ethical policy of the charity.

8. Finance and resources.

• Operate within organisational approved budgets, policies and procedures.

9. Other responsibilities

• Keep abreast of sector trends and opportunities.

About the role:

This role is based at our office in Preston, with cover in the Accrington area as required. Once you have completed training & probation period you can apply for hybrid working, all travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed. As an IDVA you will:

• Focus on victims at risk of harm, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service
• Support victims face to face or by telephone
• Develop individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified
• Provide advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including legal & civil options, housing, health & finance & support through the criminal justice system
• Participate in multi agency meetings providing the voice of the client

You will need:

• An understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
• Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
• Knowledge of Safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these
• Theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil & criminal justice remedies
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Ability to manage a complex caseload, able to prioritise effectively
• Strong crisis management skills, able to deal with stressful & difficult situations
• Good communication, negotiation & advisory skills, both written & verbal
• Good IT skills including, Microsoft Office & Case Management systems

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.

Opening in April 2021, Crawley Crisis Café is a partnership between Richmond Fellowship and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT). The café will provide support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and will be open Monday to Friday 5pm – 11pm and Saturday and Sunday 3pm to 11pm. As Peer Support Coordinator your challenge will be to recruit and induct, with the Service Manager, the volunteers.

The volunteers will work alongside Recovery Support Workers and the Community Psychiatric Nurse to ensure positive outcomes for individuals that have come to the crisis café for support. And, when it comes to contributing to the development of organisational policies and procedures or attending networking events and community meetings to promote the service, recruiting volunteers and compiling a monthly rota for the volunteers again, we’ll rely on you.

To succeed, you’ll need a good understanding of the recovery and personalisation agenda and the principles and practice on which mental health services are run. You must be able to, liaise and work collaboratively with a team of colleagues. You will be well-organised and self-motivated; good problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential, as is an innate ability to cope with personal stress.

This is a fixed term role that will end on 29 May 2025.

This is a part time post at 18 hours per week and whilst it is expected that a large proportion of the hours would be between the café’s operating hours, there may be times when the post holder will be required to attend meetings or presentations outside of the operating hours.
