About the Housing Officer role
As a Housing Officer, you’ll support young people living in our Move-On and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) accommodation. The Housing Officer role combines practical housing management with relationship-based support.
This isn’t about fixing people. It’s about noticing strengths, building confidence and offering steady, practical support when it matters most.
Key duties of the Housing Officer role
You’ll focus on the core responsibilities below (full details are available in the job description)
- Supporting young people to settle into their homes
- Providing structured housing-related support (including more intensive support within the UASC provision)
- Managing housing responsibilities such as rent, behaviour, property standards and safeguarding
- Supporting access to education, training, employment and wider services
- Building trusting relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries
- closely with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
You will be part of a supportive Housing Officer team where reflection, supervision and wellbeing are built into how we work, not as an afterthought.

You’ll be a Housing Officer who:

Oversee the Share Bristol Bedminster Library of Things, ensuring it meets the needs of the local community, and work in partnership with the rest of the Share Bristol team to ensure the success of our charity and our Library of Things service.
This role is responsible for the day to day running of Share Bristol Bedminster, recruiting and supporting our volunteers, helping us engage with partner organisations, managing space bookings, managing our Thing donations and inventory, and assisting our current and potential members.
We’re looking for someone to start as soon as possible, and work around 21 hours a week.
The 21 hours per week are to include the following hours onsite at Share Bristol Bedminster.

About PRS Members’ Fund: we are dedicated to supporting PRS songwriter and composer members through life’s challenges by offering hardship funding and wellbeing support when it’s needed most. As a charity with deep roots in the music community, we exist to help music creators navigate hardships, whether it’s through health and wellbeing support, housing assistance, or financial aid, so they can focus on what they do best: making music.
To provide professional tailored advice, information and support to sick and vulnerable PRS members and those struggling with complex physical and/or mental health issues. To visit occasionally those members who may require Fund assistance, or to contact them through electronic means.
Our Welfare Support and Service Development Manager will be responsible for working with the Funds’ senior management to identify opportunities that support the charity’s strategic objectives and their constituent parts that are designed to develop new and improved welfare services. Plan, oversee and deliver assigned tasks and projects in line with the Fund’s strategy, monitor and report on progress to all stakeholders.

Role outline and purpose
The Head of External Relations leads strategic engagement and influencing activities to ensure hunger and hardship remain a priority for key external audiences, to build the breadth and depth of support needed to help end the need for food banks. This role engages and influences target stakeholders in government, business, civil society and faith communities to prioritise hunger and hardship in their decisions and actions.
This role is part of Trussell’s Prioritising Hunger and Hardship programme, the goal of which is to keep hunger and hardship at the forefront of conversations and decision making – both amongst the public and key individuals and organisations relevant to our cause. This role is focused on the successful delivery of the overall programme outcomes, contributing to the fulfilment of our long-term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.
Role responsibilities
· Leading the organisation’s external influencing strategy to shape key conversations, decisions, and activities among target audiences to ensure hunger and hardship remain a national priority. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation focused on influencing and advocacy with relevant stakeholders (e.g. policymakers, advice sector, local authorities).
· Develop and maintain high-impact senior relationships with key parliamentarians, civil servants, faith leaders, youth organisations, the wider charitable food sector and other partners to build strategic support and unlock change.
· Oversee targeted engagement programmes that deepen collaboration with, and activate, key stakeholders and organisations to build and amplify the long-term wide-ranging support needed to end the need for food banks – including youth and wider civil society organisations, charitable food providers and faith communities.

Make a real difference to the lives of Afghan communities. In this role, you will drive change: stewarding relationships with public donors and fundraisers, supporting income generation and retention, maintaining high quality supporter data, and helping identify opportunities to grow engagement and income across these areas.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Borde Hill team to work on the Reinventing Borde Hill project. This role will be responsible for managing the Community Growing Garden at Sugworth Farm, part of our new 2-acre biodynamic market garden which produces seasonal fruit and vegetables to supply the new restaurant, café and farm shop at Borde Hill.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project includes an Activity Plan including a range of learning, community and volunteering activities, and this new role will have responsibility for overseeing community engagement both at the Community Growing Garden, and across the Parkland and main Garden.
Your role will focus on two key areas: overseeing the seasonal growing at the Community Growing Garden with volunteers and community partners, and developing and delivering an annual site-wide community engagement programme.
You will work closely with the NLHF Project Team, as well as the Green team. You will lead on liaising with local schools, community groups and charities, encouraging and facilitating participation in the Community Growing and wider site community programmes. Your passion for learning, community engagement, horticulture and nature will be key in ensuring this programme succeeds in delivering the ambitions set out in the Activity Plan.
Although funded via the Lottery project, this role is permanent as we are committed to continuing it after the funded project; we intend to continue the wide range of the activities that your role will nurture and develop.
