New Forest Disability Information Service provides a range of information, advice and practical support services to people affected by disability across the New Forest and surrounding areas.
Our team currently comprises: CEO, Operations Manager, 6 Welfare Advisors, Administrator and circa 20 Volunteers who staff our shop and provide first line information and support. All paid staff are part time.
In looking to a more secure and sustainable future, these roles are now being complemented by a marketing manager and this fundraising post.
With the exception of proceeds from our shop, our work is entirely supported by grants and service contracts.
Current significant grant funders are:

· Access to Justice Foundation
· Lloyds Foundation
We also have a rolling annual service level agreement with New Forest District Council for the provision of specific services.
Despite not having a dedicated fundraising function, we have a positive track record of securing such funding and have strong foundations on which to build.
In order to sustain and develop our service offer, we now need to adopt a focused approach to fundraising to both maintain effective relationships with existing funders and to diversify our income streams.
With the support of Lloyds Foundation we have recently benefitted from the contribution of a fundraising consultant. This has included an analysis of our position/needs and the production of a fundraising strategy. It has also included the provision of various tools and templates including an Excel-based CRM should this be required.
With room for some amendment from the successful candidate, this strategy needs to be converted into a SMART work plan and be implemented.
Priority tasks for the first six months would include:
· Engaging with our consultant to finalise the strategy
· Producing a work plan
· Create and secure agreement re our ‘case for support’
· Identify prospect Trusts and Foundations
· Write and submit a volume of applications to be agreed with the CEO
Our broad performance expectations are to secure a 2:1 return on investment in year one rising to a minimum 4:1 return by end of year three.
We anticipate this being a two or three day/week role and are open to discussion as to this being a freelance or employed position.

In this role you will be working with children and young people with ADHD and/or Autism, where neurodivergence is diagnosed or suspected, and presentations are mild to moderate. This is a low‑intensity, first‑line CBT offer, delivered through in‑person sessions and/or group work.
Key responsibilities include triaging referrals, completing wellbeing assessments, and delivering short‑term, evidence‑based treatment.
About you
You will already hold one relevant graduate or postgraduate qualification, such as CWP, EMHP, or an equivalent wellbeing practitioner qualification. A teaching or training qualification (e.g. Level 3 AET or PGCE) would be an advantage.
You will have experience working with children and young people with mental health needs, including delivering evidence‑based, low‑intensity interventions (ages 8–18). As a Senior Researcher, you will take a leading role in our research programmes with parliamentarians and journalists, while also contributing to our work with the general public and bespoke client projects. You will act as a trusted partner to clients and a point of guidance for junior colleagues.
You will lead on our nfpPolitics programmes – quarterly surveys of 100 MPs and an annual survey of 100 members of the House of Lords, plus annual surveys of MSPs in Scotland, MSs in Wales and MLAs in Northern Ireland. These programmes give charity clients clear, evidence-based insight into how they are seen at Westminster and in the devolved parliaments: tracking awareness of organisations and their campaigns, the actions parliamentarians have taken in response, and how effective they consider those organisations to be. MAG is undertaking a strategic review of its UK contracted reward framework to ensure it remains fit for purpose, aligned with organisational priorities, and able to support the attraction, retention and development of key talent.

Reporting directly to the CEO, strengthening the leadership team of six, and managing the charity's Bookkeeper, the incoming Finance Manager will replace a current interim manager. This permanent appointment reflects the board's commitment to the senior management team and the finance function.
This is a 21 hour per week post; exact working hours are negotiable / flexible.

Support available to the successful candidate
You will be working within the Voluntary Action Harrow, Stronger Communities, and Third Sector Service Team, which holds a vast amount of knowledge, maintains monitoring templates, and has strong relationships with charities and community groups across Harrow.

Part-Time Finance Manager (22.5 hours per week) – £25,062.60 pa (FTE £41,771) - Salford – Hybrid
Our client is a dedicated charity based in Salford and are looking to expand their finance team by recruiting to the new post of Finance Manager. The postholder will lead the finance function, ensuring that robust financial systems, processes and controls are in place to safeguard the organisation and enable informed decision-making.
They will provide high-quality financial insight, maintain the integrity of financial information, and oversee the delivery of accurate and compliant financial operations—including payroll, management reporting and audit preparation.
The Role :
The role is offered on a part-time basis (22.5hours per week) and days and hours can be flexible but must include a full day on a Monday.
