Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to join our team as a Regional Manager. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations at the hub and in the community, coordinating activities that support disabled and disadvantaged individuals. The successful candidate will also take on regional responsibilities, contributing to the development and sustainability of the charity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Coordinate all activities and operations to ensure smooth functioning in the Warwickshire area and across regional sites in The Midlands.

· Work alongside the Head of Operations and their teams, ensuring consistency and quality across services.

· Lead on regional development initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation in service delivery.

· Support the charity’s sustainability goals, including environmental, financial, and operational practices.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

· A recognised qualification at degree level or equivalent in one or more of the following: Teaching, Social Care, Project Management, Leadership, or a related field.

· Evidence of continued professional development relevant to the role.

· Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete upon appointment).

· Clean driving license with access to transport for regional and national travel.

· Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a relevant sector.

· Demonstrable experience of supporting disabled or disadvantaged individuals.

· Strong understanding of inclusive practice and person centred approaches.

· Experience in project management, including planning, delivery, and evaluation.

· Ability to lead and supervise teams across multiple locations.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.

· Experience in handling HR matters such as recruitment, performance management, and staff wellbeing.

· Ability to travel across regional and national sites as required.

· Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other relevant software systems.

Desirable Criteria

This is a hands-on and varied role for someone who enjoys planning, organising, and making things happen. You’ll take the lead on delivering Day One’s events programme from fundraising challenges and third-party events to awareness and engagement activities that raise our profile and connect new people to our cause.

Your main focus will be on logistics, planning, and delivery ensuring each event runs smoothly, safely, and reflects Day One at its best. You’ll also be developing new opportunities, or supporting engagement events such as Major Trauma Awareness Week and campaigns that complement our services and mission

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

 

Fundraising & Third-Party Events

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver Day One’s calendar of fundraising events, including challenge and third-party activities.
• Grow opportunities for individuals, teams, and partners to take part in events that raise funds and awareness.
• Manage event logistics, budgeting, risk assessments, and delivery on the day with our preferred suppliers.
• Steward flagship event participants, such as those taking part in the London Marathon and Great North Run.
• Ensure participants from other challenge events are handed over smoothly to the Relationship Fundraiser and Fundraising Assistant, who will lead on their stewardship and follow-up.

Awareness & Engagement Events

• Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Officer to plan and deliver awareness and engagement events such as exhibitions, conferences and networking events.
• Lead on all logistics and coordination from venue bookings and set-up to equipment, displays, and volunteer support.
• Represent Day One at events, helping to raise our visibility and strengthen relationships with partners, supporters, and professionals.
• Support the Marketing & Communications Officer with the delivery of campaigns like Major Trauma Awareness Week and other activities that raise Day One’s national profile.

Planning & Delivery

• Develop and maintain event plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring events are efficient and well-organised.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, venues, and event organisers to ensure value for money and quality delivery.
• Review and record event outcomes to support learning, improvement, and future planning.
• Balance multiple projects moving seamlessly from one event to the next or planning ahead for the year-round events calendar.

Teamwork & Values

• Work collaboratively across fundraising and communications to deliver joined-up campaigns and consistent messaging.

• Proven experience in a senior charitable legacy fundraising and direct marketing role
• Experience of leading and managing multiple teams working together to deliver ambitious targets, overcome challenges and achieve measurable impact in a remote working environment

AWF was established from a legacy left to the British Veterinary Association (BVA) in 1983 and was set up as an independent charity to directly support the veterinary profession, promote best practice and drive improvements in animal welfare

We are seeking an experienced charity manager to coordinate and manage the activity of the BVA Animal Welfare Foundation (AWF), which places animal welfare at the forefront of veterinary knowledge via research, education and debate.

Key duties:

You will have a strong track record of working with a Board of Trustees and associated committees on the successful implementation of a charity strategy, alongside an ability to lead on the implementation of a focused fundraising strategy.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, and work to strict deadlines. Alongside experience of a variety of fundraising activities, event planning, and knowledge of charity governance, this new role represents an exciting opportunity to optimise the unique partnership with BVA and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders to raise the profile of AWF.

Currently there are no direct line management responsibilities but as the charity develops it is likely that line management responsibilities will become part of this role. The role will also involve working closely with BVA’s policy and public affairs, media and campaigns, and marketing and events teams.

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and knowledgeable experienced Group Facilitator to join our Hertfordshire team to support our Dementia Support Group. Our Group Facilitators all have a shared passion to support people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives!

Location – Hertfordshire (with regular travel across the county) some homeworking required so reliable home Wi-Fi is required.

Alzheimer’s Society are working in partnership with Age UK and Carers in Hertfordshire to deliver the new Dementia Support contract called Memory Support Hertfordshire, managing 22 centre-based activities groups (weekly) across the local area, running carers and Young Onset specific groups both online and face-to face.   Our groups are well established and a crucial means of support to service users and carers.  This is an exciting time to join as we are in the process of reviewing our groups and we hope that this will result in us developing more groups (respite, specific communities or location specific) in the coming months. Our Group Facilitator’s have many key functions; this will include planning and coordinating weekly activity-based groups (could range from 2-4 groups per week).  You will plan engaging and supportive activities in a structured rolling 12-week program
with defined outcomes for each session and this will be done in consultation with service users and carers.  You will also coordinate volunteers that support your groups, work with local Dementia Advisers to provide 1-2-1 support for groups attendees and establish relationships with local organisations for the purposes of facilitating signposted support for service users. You will be joining a team of expert Group Facilitators and Dementia Advisers that are experienced and passionate about their work and they will support you to undertake your role successfully.  

About you:

- Passionate about supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Experience of managing, planning and supporting engaging groups sessions with people. 
- Strong communication skills to deliver advice and guidance with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach and collaborating with other professionals.
- Good IT skills, including experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).
- Be able to travel independently across Hertfordshire and transport any resources required for your group sessions.

What you’ll focus on: 

- Managing and facilitating weekly activities-based groups (could range from 3-4 groups per week) across Hertfordshire 
- Planning a range of meaningful activities for your groups structed within a rolling 12-week program.  
- Resourcing and setting up your groups which could mean moving and setting up tables and chairs and clearing up at the end of the session
- Manage volunteers that support your groups.
- Offering support to group attendees and working with local Dementia Advisers to provide 1-2-1 support for groups attendees.

Leading CamRARE

As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support to your clients in a variety of ways, whether in the client's own home, or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals, and facilitating peer support groups for people living with dementia on occasions in various location in the area!

You will need

- Delivering personalised and tailored support to people affected by dementia. This could include the person living with dementia, carer, family or friends.

- Managing own caseload of clients and referring people to the appropriate health and social care organisations when required, including safeguarding’s.

We’re recruiting an Assistant Manager – Onsite Services to join our Burford rehoming centre, to ensure that the right pet is placed in the right service for both the client and the pet.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join Blue Cross to lead a team in ensuring a high level of client care, efficient and connected decisions relating to pet welfare, and the delivery of high-quality rehoming services.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll be leading your team and ensuring the smooth running of the refill and adoption stages of our rehoming services. You’ll work closely with operational colleagues to ensure we have a pipeline of new pets and pool of adopters ready for a pet.

The refill and adoption stages of our rehoming services is critical, so this role will see you working closely with your team and colleagues with a strong focus on finding the right homes for pets as efficiently as possible and refilling to optimise caseloads for our Pet Welfare Assistants.  While delivering robust rehoming services are important to us, so is the client experience and it will be up to you to ensure that we monitor and continually look for ways to uphold and improve our client journey. 

For many, the Centre will be the ‘public face’ of Blue Cross so you will need to ensure that your team put client service is at the heart of every interaction, this includes making sure public areas and facilities are welcoming and engaging and that administration of the admission and adoption process complies with internal processes and compliance legislation such as GDPR.   

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.

At Burford rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7.  Overnight shifts are usually undertaken by team members who live on site. Occasionally, you will be expected to carry out night checks or stay in on site accommodation overnight when the resident team members are either not working or away for a period of time. These duties are organised on a local rota and shared between all members of the team. 

 
About you 
You will be an excellent manager of people, having skills which are finely honed by working in a similar, animal related environment with expert knowledge and application of pet welfare and care.

As an accomplished, positive, and innovative manager, you will know how to inspire, motivate, and drive continuous improvement. You will be able to lead a team of Pet Welfare Assistants, developing and empowering them through effective management and coaching. 

With your excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to adapt your approach to suit different audiences. As there are always many ‘plates spinning,’ you will be naturally calm and organised, and be prepared to make decisions in a high-pressure environment. 

You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to rigorously monitor, assess and evaluate in order to deliver improvements. You will have an appetite to continually improve onsite facilities and services, ensuring your team and others involved are engaged. 

You will know what it is like to work in an emotionally charged environment and have excellent ‘bounce back ability’ and resilience. In addition, you will be emotionally intelligent, showing empathy and knowing how to support your team and members of the public.

The Data Team manages the quality, integrity and flow of data that drives these outcomes. 

We went live with our new CRM, Dynamics CE, in July 2024 and are now refining our processes and data flows to ensure all teams have the right skills, data and support to fully utilise the system. 

As Data Officer, you’ll provide first-line CRM support and training to the fundraising team, helping them use the system effectively to reach their ambitious income targets.
