Arthritis Action is the UK charity giving hands-on, practical help to improve the quality of life of people affected by arthritis. We offer an integrated self-management approach, which looks at both the physical and mental health impact of living with arthritis. We support people living with musculoskeletal conditions through healthy eating advice, mental health resources, pain management techniques, Online Groups, employment support, and exercise advice and resources. 

We are looking for an experienced Volunteering Manager, based in the Midlands, to lead the development of an exciting new volunteering programme, helping us build a diverse, inclusive and engaged volunteer community that brings our strategy to life.

The Role

Home-Based in the Midlands with monthly travel to the London office (EC1V) 

The Volunteering Manager will lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of volunteering within Arthritis Action. This is a new role responsible for ensuring that more people affected by arthritis across the country receive high-quality, evidence-based support and have meaningful opportunities to connect, participate and influence our work.

The postholder will oversee our volunteering activity, in turn enabling volunteers to extend our reach, strengthen communities and increase our impact across the region. Key Responsibilities

Volunteering Development 

• Develop a strong understanding of the volunteer journey, using insight, feedback and data to identify opportunities to improve engagement, satisfaction, retention and outcomes.

• Develop approaches to ensure volunteers can increase engagement amongst diverse and underserved communities. 

• Implement effective monitoring and evaluation processes to demonstrate impact. 

• Work with colleagues to identify opportunities to link volunteering and donor journeys.

• Update existing volunteering policies and strategy documents to bring them in line with practice for 2026 and beyond.

This fixed term role will provide cover with the current position-holder is on secondment with another team. Within the Individual Giving team, the Fundraising Manager will have responsibility for the planning and delivery of activities that recruit new supporters and generate income. You will manage our supporter recruitment programme, ensuring we meet our targets, and promoting investment strategies to cost-effectively and sustainably grow our supporter base. You will focus on the delivery of existing offline communication channels, as well as the development of new products, channels and audiences with a future-focused outlook on fundraising and recruitment. The Role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Project Development Co‑ordinator working in the North-East / Yorkshire area.

You will play a key role in delivering NEA’s work programme across the region, leading on stakeholder engagement, community outreach and direct support to low‑income and vulnerable households. Travel within the region and occasionally beyond will be required.

You will lead on all aspects of safety, facilities and estate management at our outdoor learning centre Hindleap Warren. What you will be doing 

Facilities Management  

• Lead on delivery of all Facilities Management services, including but not limited to: M&E, fabric, cleaning/ housekeeping, bed linen/ laundry, car parking, grounds, waste management, pest control and external contractors. Occasionally support may be needed out of normal working hours in emergency situations. 
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance programme ensuring the satisfactory operation of all buildings, plant and equipment and ensuring our buildings remain compliant, safe, fit for purpose and reflect our brand values at all times. 
• Procure and manage services, evaluate contracts and tender processes through a blend of in-house and out-sourced delivery methods, as appropriate, and evaluate value for money. 
• Work with the Director of Centres and Delivery and Head of Centre to set the estates, facilities and health and safety elements of their annual budgets and advising on capital expenditure requirements.

Health & Safety

The International Project Manager - Agroecology will manage key international initiatives in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs), focusing on partner collaboration in Benin and Ethiopia. You will oversee project delivery, build impact-monitoring data systems, and provide technical guidance on sustainable crop and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.

PAN UK is the only charity in Britain dedicated solely to raising awareness of the problems caused by pesticides and working for better solutions. It is an independent, non-profit organisation, which works nationally and internationally to eliminate the use of hazardous pesticides and to support the adoption of sustainable alternatives. PAN UK operates as part of a global network of partner organisations. Its work reaches directly to partners and smallholder farmers in Ethiopia, Benin and elsewhere as well as national policy makers and global actors, such as UNEP and UNFAO.

Our work includes generating evidence by working with farmers and researchers on both the impacts of pesticides and on the viability of safer and more sustainable alternatives. We use this evidence to advocate for wider change in policy and practice.

The successful candidate will join PAN UK's International Team at an important time. With our partners, we have recently secured a five-year grant from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) for a UNEP-led project to support the mainstreaming of organic cotton in Benin. PAN UK’s role will be to develop data reporting systems that measure impact and support the needs of donors, supply chain actors and national authorities.

The International Project Manager (Agroecology) will also support our projects with our partner, PAN Ethiopia, to support smallholder cotton and vegetable growers. This work enables us to co-create innovative tools and approaches that can be disseminated more widely.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in helping Embrace the Middle East bring hope, dignity and lasting change to some of the region's most vulnerable communities. Working alongside local Christian partners and churches in the Middle East, you will help to ensure that life-changing programmes are delivered effectively, relationships are nurtured and vital support reaches those who need it most.

As a key member of the Programmes, Partnerships and Advocacy team, you will coordinate programme activities, support grant and partnership management processes, maintain high-quality information and contribute to projects that strengthen our impact across the Middle East. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, helping to translate programme insight into compelling stories, fundraising initiatives, advocacy work and supporter engagement. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to Embrace's mission while developing your experience within international development and partnership management.

Hours: Full or part-time (36.5 / 30 hours per week) applications will be considered.

Location: High Wycombe / Hybrid (minimum one day a month in the office, plus extra as required).

We’re looking for a proactive and community-minded Project Manager to help us deliver a range of active travel and sustainable transport projects.

You’ll lead on the coordination of community based cycle confidence training, manage project logistics and monitoring, and support people across Nottingham to adopt greener ways of moving around.
