About the role

Working closely with the RJFN Chair, members and partners, you will support member engagement, build and maintain partnerships, organise events and communications, and help monitor the network’s reach and impact. This is a varied role with significant autonomy and an opportunity to help shape a growing national network.

This is a genuinely hands-on role, ideal for a qualified Finance Manager or experienced finance professional who enjoys combining operational delivery with continuous improvement. The Sick Children's Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming 'Home from Home' where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we're more than bricks and mortar, our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding fundraising management role, focused on developing and delivering an ambitious community and events fundraising programme that generates sustainable income, increases awareness of our work and builds long-term supporter relationships.

You will lead the development of community fundraising across the UK, supporting and inspiring individuals, families, schools, community groups, volunteers and local businesses to raise funds for the charity. At the same time, you will manage a portfolio of challenge and special events, ensuring excellent supporter experiences and strong financial returns.

You will oversee key events including our Carol Service, Supper Club and Golf Day, while also growing participation in challenge events such as the London Marathon, half marathons, walks, cycling events and other fundraising activities. You will also lead and develop a small fundraising team, creating a collaborative and high-performing culture while supporting individuals to achieve their objectives and develop their skills.

This role requires a proactive and ambitious fundraiser with strong leadership, relationship-building and project management skills, together with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive income growth.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about community and events fundraising and motivated by creating meaningful opportunities for people to support our work.

We are looking for a Scientific Events Manager, on a part-time basis, who will be responsible for the development of the Society’s Annual Conference and other events, in line with the Society’s strategic objectives, bringing together members and delegates from across the breadth of microbiology. Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of Oasis Community Housing’s Young People’s Supported Housing Service (Ofsted registered). The service operates two 24-hour staffed supported housing projects, one for children and young people aged 16-17 with medium needs, and one for those aged 16-21 with complex needs. To provide trauma informed, holistic, personalised support to children and young people, which is in line with relevant pathway and safety plans. 

To work closely with Gateshead Council, including Children’s Services, to ensure children and young people achieve the best outcomes, in line with project specific aims and objectives. Under the guidance of the Team Leader and Registered Service Manager, to ensure the service is compliant with the Supported Accommodation Regulations and we maintain successful Ofsted registration for these projects.

• A 24-7 staffed 8 bed Ofsted registered supported housing project for young people aged 16-21 with complex needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To provide holistic (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) support to children and young people within our supported housing projects, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis Community Housing. Ensuring support provision is personalised to individual needs, and progress is regularly reviewed.

• To engage in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approaches to support children and young people, including working closely with Children’s Services and other professionals and partner agencies. To include; attending meetings and effective information sharing.

• To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to in your practices, and that concerns are reported appropriately and expediently, both internally, and externally, as needed.

• To navigate challenging situations effectively and sensitively.

• To maintain records needed to ensure excellent and consistent support provision; maintaining comprehensive case files, using our In-Form data system, completing reports and assisting in the measurement of outcomes.

As a senior legacy officer, you will play a key role in delivering our legacy and in-memory programme, helping to amplify this significant area and drive income growth for the charity.

The Role

• Deliver and develop our legacy and in-memory giving programme, helping to grow this significant area of our fundraising income
• Plan and deliver acquisition and stewardship campaigns for legacy and in-memory supporters across a range of channels
• Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, family members and colleagues, handling sensitive and personal conversations with care and professionalism

Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of Oasis Community Housing’s Young People’s Supported Housing Service (including Ofsted registered project). The service supports 56 young people at any given time; in one 16-bed Ofsted registered 24-hours staffed supported housing project for 16-21 year olds with medium-high needs, plus visiting support to young people living in properties across the North of the Borough. 

To provide trauma informed, holistic, personalised support to children and young people, which is in line with relevant pathway and safety plans. To work closely with Southwark Council, including Children’s Services, to ensure children and young people achieve the best outcomes, in line with project specific aims and objectives. Under the guidance of the Team Leader and Registered Service Manager, to ensure the service is compliant with the Supported Accommodation Regulations and we maintain successful Ofsted registration for the relevant project.

Oasis Community Housing is a Christian response to homelessness and disadvantage providing housing, support and other specialised services. The support provided aims to develop life skills that will enable people to live successful independent lives.

Project specific:

Our projects are places of safety, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE), from which we work with children and young people using person-led, holistic, trauma-informed and solution-focused approaches. We aim to provide accommodation and support that helps children and young people find self-worth and the belief that they deserve a better future, supporting them in safe, positive transitions including where relevant from care into more independent accommodation, and from childhood to adulthood; providing holistic support to gain essential life skills, achieve health outcomes, to realise and achieve their aspirations, and reach their full potential.

We are commissioned by Southwark Council to provide this service, which currently consists of:

• A 24-7 staffed 16 bed Ofsted registered supported housing project for young people aged 16-21.

• A 4 bed property for young mums and their babies/toddler age children - with a staff office, visiting staff support Mon-Fri 9-5, and on call support outside of working hours.

• A 6 bed property for young mums and their babies/toddler age children – with visiting staff support Mon-Fri 9-5, and on call support outside of working hours.

• A 7 bed supported accommodation for young people (Christchurch - made up of self contained flats, and flats allowing for sharing a bathroom/kitchen with one other) - with a staff office, visiting support Mon-Fri 9-5, and on call support outside of working hours.

• A number of 4-5 bed properties, for young people with visiting staff support Mon-Fri 9 5, and on call support outside of working hours. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• To provide holistic (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) support to children and young people within our supported housing projects, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis Community Housing. Ensuring support provision is personalised to individual needs, and progress is regularly reviewed. 

• To engage in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approaches to support children and young people, including working closely with Children’s Services and other professionals and partner agencies. To include; attending meetings and effective information sharing. 

• To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to in your practices, and that concerns are reported appropriately and expediently, both internally, and externally, as needed.

• To navigate challenging situations effectively and sensitively.

• To maintain records needed to ensure excellent and consistent support provision; maintaining comprehensive case files, using our In-Form data system, completing reports and assisting in the measurement of outcomes.

• To ensure the Project Handbook, including the service expectations, are explained to children and young people at the point of entry; being reiterated, and enforced as needed.

• To deal with informal complaints made by residents in accordance with OCH's procedures.

• To organise and encourage activities which are of interest to those being supported.

• To support the active participation of residents in project design, delivery and evaluation; working with our Head of Service Improvement to encourage involvement, and assisting in recording access and engagement.

• To work in accordance with regulatory requirements. Under the guidance of the Team Leader and Head of Supported Housing (Registered Service Manager) to ensure your practices are compliant with the Supported Accommodation Regulations.

• To clean the office space and communal areas, and support those living in our service to keep their rooms/properties clean.

• To work closely with Housing Management Team colleagues.

• To attend regular supervision sessions with your line manager

• To attend relevant training sessions as required by the role / your line manager

• To undertake any other reasonable duties as required

• To ensure all working practice and interactions are in line with organisational ethos and values

• To be able to work in any Oasis Community Housing project as required. 

Personal Specification/Key Competencies: 

Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification to NVQ Level 3 (Essential)

Work Experience: 

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Support Worker, including needs and risk assessment, delivery of holistic support, health and safety, working closely with partner agencies to provide support (Essential)

• Experience working with children and young people, especially those experiencing homelessness including leaving the care system, and related issues including mental ill health, trauma, abuse, alcohol and substance misuse and offending (Essential) 

• Experience of using person centred support plans (Desirable)

• Experience working in the safeguarding arena (Desirable)

• Experience of participating in MDT meetings (Desirable)

• Experience of working in registered/regulated services (Desirable)

The National Lottery Community Fund is delivering an environmental strategy that will not only help communities we Fund but also identifies us as an exemplar in managing our own environmental impact. It’s an exciting time to join the Fund as the Environmental Officer role will help lead our journey to Net Zero emissions as well as support our Environmental Strategy both internally and externally.  An interest in climate change and an understanding of environmental sustainability in the workplace will be a key part to this role as well as the confidence to bring in new ideas and support engagement of staff.

The role will sit within the Facilities team which helps support all nine of the Fund’s offices which are based in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

The Environmental Officer role will be varied but some of the key responsibilities are:

• You will be responsible for facilitating the Fund’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact and move towards being a Net Zero organisation. You will lead best practice around environmental sustainability across sites and engage staff to consider their own impact.

• You will support the Fund’s established Climate Action Network, ensuring that they all feel connected to and can contribute to energy and resource savings projects/initiatives/themes.

• You will help with environmental data capture and carbon accounting and reporting on any trends both internally and externally.
   
• You will also provide relevant updates to Senior Management Team (SMT) and work closely with the SMT lead on environmental sustainability, highlighting any issues requiring resolution
   
• The role will mainly be based in one office, but you’ll be required to engage across the Fund and develop communications that will reach all staff.
   
• You may be drawn into any project/team to advise on environmental sustainability.
   
• You will engage with internal and external stakeholders and will support the communication of strong external messages declaring our dedication to working sustainably.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Serve as the Fund’s lead contact for environmental matters, providing advice and maintaining oversight of environmental activity.
• Support the implementation and delivery of the Fund’s Net Zero commitments through effective stakeholder engagement and strategic guidance.
• Coordinate environmental data collection and reporting processes to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Draft and coordinate environmental reports, including following guidance for sustainability returns to DCMS and the sustainability report for inclusion within the Annual Report and Accounts.

Skills & Requirements

The candidate for this role should have passion, commitment, and enthusiasm to help deliver our Net Zero targets. They should have good communication skills as well as strong analytical and report writing skills. Previous experience of environmental sustainability within the workplace would be beneficial.

• Apply to a range of trusts, foundations and grant giving bodies who have the potential to give up to five figure annual grants.

We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND RESOURCES

Church Mission Society connects with people at the edges – of church, of society, and of our comfort zones – all over the world to help share God’s love in creative ways and see our world made new. None of that is possible without someone making sure the money, the infrastructure and the governance behind it are rock solid. That's this role.

As Director of Finance and Resources, you'll sit on the Senior Leadership Team with genuine breadth of responsibility; financial strategy and management, investments, treasury, risk, legal and regulatory compliance, property and facilities, IT and cyber security, and corporate governance. You'll also hold oversight of CMS' residual pension-related responsibilities following the transfer of its defined-benefit pension liabilities, one of the more technical, long-tail parts of the brief.

It's a lot under one roof, and that's the honest challenge - this isn't a role for someone who wants to specialise in just one thing. You'll move comfortably between a board paper on investment strategy and a decision about the office lease, often in the same week. In return, you get real influence; you'll be a trusted adviser to the CEO and board, four direct reports (Head of Finance, Head of ICT, Facilities Manager and Head of Legal) who need your steer, and a seat at the table where CMS's biggest decisions get made.

We're looking for a qualified accountant with senior finance leadership experience, ideally from a charity, not-for-profit or values-led organisation, who can operate credibly at executive and board level. You'll know your way around financial planning, audit, internal controls and management reporting, and you'll have led teams before.

But the technical skills are only half of it. CMS needs someone with the wisdom to balance prudent stewardship against a sensible appetite for risk, the courage to hold a firm line when it matters, and the humility to lead in a way that lets other people do their best work. Above all, you'll believe that finance exists to serve the mission, not the other way round.
