Summary of the role:

The Community Fundraising Assistant (Ramadan Campaign) plays a crucial role during Ramadan. The role provides critical support in fundraising collections and events.  The role will involve working occasional unsociable hours (weekends and evenings) and national travel, sometimes at short notice, during the Ramadan period to maximise our income generating opportunities.

About the Role:

1. The main responsibilities of the role are lister below.  Other tasks may be assigned on an ad hoc basis in support of our Ramadan fundraising activities.
2. Attend mosques and Islamic institutions to collect donations and pledges in response to Muslim Aid’s appeals, supporting mosque collections through fundraising, data capture, and donor engagement.
3. Set up and break down fundraising events, assisting with event setup, registration, and coordination across multiple venues.
4. Provide administrative and logistical assistance before, during, and after events to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
5. Assist in the logistical coordination of Muslim Aid’s Live Appeals, helping to ensure all operational and support activities run effectively.
6. Support and assist volunteers in running and managing fundraising activities, providing guidance and ensuring a positive experience for supporters.

Purpose - what you will be achieving

The Programme Officer will be responsible for the administration and delivery of the Academy’s women in research programmes, including working collaboratively with external consultants that will facilitate the delivery of mentoring training and career development workshops. The role provides an opportunity for a person passionate about supporting the next generation of researchers to be involved in the delivery of our unique portfolio of programmes.

About the role - what you will be doing

• Administration and delivery of the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN – women in leadership programmes
• Shared organisation and delivery of a variety of online and in-person workshops and events for the Academy’s Mentoring and SUSTAIN programmes, with individual responsibility for developing and delivering specific events within the programme

The Job

As Head of Financial Accounting, you will take ownership of the organisation's financial accounting function. This is a newly created role due to the need for extra headcount and organisational support from the finance team. This organisation does have some historical issues with their financial accounting, meaning there is a backlog and a need to improve processes. There is also a current reliance on Excel, which they would like to change with plans in place for a new system implementation. The complexity of the organisation and the situation mean the incoming person will have the opportunity to have a big impact.

• Managing group consolidation schedules and reporting.
• Acting as the main liaison with external auditors and regulators.

The Person

The charity has been administrating and managing grants for around two decades. They have a collaborative grant-giving programme, where they work with local people and organisations to raise funds that are distributed across the borough to charitable organisations that are working locally to tackle inequality and change lives for the better in Merton.

The Strategic Lead will lead, develop, and manage the giving programme for a charity in collaboration with key stakeholders and partners. This will involve the development and implementation of a programme strategy and business plan, as well as supporting colleagues to develop and implement fundraising, marketing, and grant-making strategies and plans.

Key responsibilities

* Organisational strategy & business plan: Develop and implement an innovative programme strategy and sustainable business plan for the giving programme and align strategy and plans with funder objectives and the wider aims of the charity.
* Partnership development: Identify and secure new partners to support the giving programme's success, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders (London Borough of Merton, Merton Chamber of Commerce) to unlock fundraising, marketing, and grant-making opportunities, convene and facilitate quarterly Steering Committee meetings and produce update reports, and represent the giving programme.
* Grant-making: Assist the Grants Manager in developing a comprehensive grant-making strategy, including participatory practices, and ensure robust monitoring and evaluation for all grant-making initiatives.
* Budget management: Oversee programme income and expenditure in collaboration with the Finance Team, lead on budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting; produce quarterly finance reports for the Steering Committee
* Fundraising and marketing: Support the Fundraising & Engagement Manager in delivering a sustainable fundraising strategy, and work with the Marketing Manager to implement an effective marketing strategy that enhances the giving programme's profile.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of developing and delivering community programmes across borough or equivalent. You will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
* Ability to create, develop, and deliver quality programmes and projects
* Significant experience of staff or volunteer line management and development
* Ability to network and form positive and productive working relationships with a range of people from different professional and personal backgrounds
* Good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Excellent co-ordination and organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and plan own workload, manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines

The charity is based in Mitcham (CR4 3UD) and you will be willing to attend the office at least 1-2 times a week, as well as be able to attend meetings and events within Merton. One25 works with women who are trapped in street sex work, supporting them to move from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. It is a highly respected charity working with some of the most marginalised women in Bristol.

We do this through our night outreach service which is a lifeline for nearly 200 women on Bristol’s streets. Our Health Hub provides vital support for women to access health services and healthcare professionals. Our caseworkers offer intensive one-to-one care in any area of need: from support in court to finding somewhere safe to live.

One25 are recruiting a part time Service Manager to join a dedicated and passionate team who deliver high quality services to women. The successful applicant will oversee management of the health hub service and group work activities, and work collaboratively with other service managers to support the delivery of and connection between One25’s van outreach and casework services. You will support a team of specialist case workers to deliver one-to-one support to women as well as working closely with dedicated volunteers within services.

This national charity focus on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. Their helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through their grants programme, they support hundreds of local organisations working directly with older people across the UK.

As the Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and delivering the organisations Trusts and Foundations fundraising. This will involve line managing and working with a Senior Trusts Officer to continue securing grants of £50k and personally led on donors capable of giving £50k to £1m+. Looking to build upon existing relationships and developing new relationships with trusts and foundations, this role will focus on multi-year funding and long-term relationships.

To be successful as the Trust and Foundations Manager you will have proven experience of securing six figure gifts from trusts and foundations. This person will also have evidence of growing income from trusts and foundations and ideally have line managed others before.
