Key Responsibilities

We have a new vacancy for an HR Operations Coordinator in the Strategy, Finance and Operations team, reporting to the Head of People. CXK delivers the Steps to Success programme across East Sussex, in partnership with East Sussex County Council.

The Team

The Project Coach will be based within CXK’s Youth Employability Service (YES) and will undertake regular careers-based interventions with young people, supporting them to understand their options and take steps toward achieving their goals around education, training and /or future employment. The coaches’ approach is focused, creative and persistent, building on young peoples’ confidence and motivation alongside their skills and personal growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Coach.

You will support a caseload of young people in Year 11, seeing them in their school setting or in the community if they are not attending school. Working across the East of the county, with schools and FE Colleges you will play a key role in ensuring that young people receive the tailored guidance and support they need to progress confidently into further education, training, or employment. You will build positive working relationships through co-located working, and accurate input into relevant databases.

You will maintain regular contact with the young people you support, building trust and ensuring that casework is delivered with care and consistency. Your role will involve assessing needs, action planning, reviewing progress, and adapting support as required.  Also supporting parents/carers to be aware of their young person’s next steps and the opportunities available.

About You

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with young people, especially SEND and Risk of NEET young people, who understands the post-16 education and training landscape and the importance of person-centred support. You will be a confident communicator and collaborator, able to manage your caseload and make a genuine impact on the lives of the young people you support.

CDD is the sponsor of early phase and precision medicine clinical trials in oncology agents. Our broad portfolio rivals that of a medium-sized pharmaceutical company, spanning antibodies, cell therapies, vaccines, drug conjugates and small molecules, making this an interesting and dynamic area to work in.

As a Medical Writer you'll be providing broad medical writing expertise for the production of clinical study reports, investigator brochures and other clinical/scientific reports for CDD's early phase oncology trials. As well as acting as lead author on your assigned projects and performing quality control review of documents produced by other Medical Writers, you will be fully embedded within a multidisciplinary, cross functional project team along with other CDD departments. Collaboration is essential, as well as the ability to work strategically within an evolving environment.

Unfortunately, this role is not suitable for anyone who only has experience in medical writing for pharmacovigilance or medical devices or anyone who only has medical writing experience within science comms. You must come with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical trial documents e.g. investigator brochures, clinical study reports and posting of clinical trial summary results. This is a great opportunity for a current Regulatory Medical Writer looking to move into a more purpose driven environment or to gain valuable experience withing phase 1 oncology trials. Or you could be a Medical Writing Associate ready to take that next step.

What will I be doing?

• Writing, editing, reviewing and quality control of documents for the timely production of clinical study reports and investigator brochures.

• Managing the preparation of clinical study reports by building consensus with the project teams on report requirements, responsibilities for delivery of data and production timelines, and participating in the preparation and review of summary clinical trial results and other disclosures as required.

• Managing the scheduling, preparation and updating of investigator brochure packages in use in CDD-sponsored trials, ensuring review at least annually in line with current regulations.

• Liaising with the project team to complete project-specific tasks including review of protocols, Trial Master Files, data (including expert reports), and analytical plans.

What are you looking for?

• Proven experience in medical / medical sciences writing. This should include significant experience in regulatory medical writing or a mix of experience in regulatory medical writing plus substantial relevant experience in a related role in clinical trials, pharmacovigilance or medical writing.

• Science graduate or equivalent experience of scientific writing.

• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical trial documents e.g. investigator brochures, clinical study reports and posting of clinical trial summary results.

• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.

• Confident communication skills and able to foster strong working relationships both internally and externally.

• Project Management skills

Sport is our hook to engage young people and one of the vehicles through which we support youth development. But our purpose is not to create elite athletes or address physical inactivity. We work across London, Portsmouth, and Leicester, specifically in areas of high deprivation. We embed evidence-based positive youth development programmes into primary and secondary schools. ActionAid UK is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Resilience and Climate Adviser to join our Women, Peace and Security team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen our work on climate justice and resilience, bringing a distinctly feminist, anti-racist and decolonial perspective to one of the most important areas of global humanitarian and development work.

In this role, you will help drive ActionAid UK’s strategic thinking on resilience and climate across our programmes, research, and policy engagement. You will play a central part in defining how ActionAid UK positions itself within these thematic areas, supporting both UK-based influence and the wider international federation. A key aspect of your work will involve developing strong alliances across the sector, guiding organisational thinking on emerging issues such as anticipatory action and risk-based financing, and ensuring our approaches consistently reflect our values of shifting power and promoting women’s leadership. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across business development, providing technical insight to shape high-quality proposals and support strategic partnerships that align with ActionAid’s commitments to anti-racism and climate justice. You will also contribute to designing new concepts, strengthening tender submissions, and supporting the growth of innovative, values-driven programming.

Across programme quality and implementation, you will be a specialist resource for teams working in humanitarian and development contexts, offering targeted technical guidance that supports country programmes to deliver to ActionAid’s humanitarian signature: shifting power, accountability to affected communities, and women-led resilience. You will help shape monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting processes, ensuring the organisation is continually improving how it generates and uses evidence.

Your work will also extend deeply into research and policy, where you will help build strategic research partnerships, promote decolonial approaches to evidence generation, and support the publication and sharing of learning within academic, governmental and practitioner spaces. You will inform policy positions and contribute to key engagements with governmental actors, including FCDO & global climate policy spaces (UNFCCC), always working in close partnership with ActionAid’s advocacy and policy teams. This role also plays a vital part in ActionAid’s campaigning work. You will provide leadership for the UK chapter of the Federation’s Global Climate Justice Campaign, chairing the Steering Committee, supporting research that underpins the campaign’s messaging, and helping to deliver effective collaboration with ActionAid Federation Members. As needed, you will act as a spokesperson to amplify ActionAid’s climate justice messages to the media and the wider public.

Externally, you will represent ActionAid within UK and global spaces, building relationships with like-minded organisations and identifying opportunities to elevate ActionAid’s influence and visibility on resilience and climate justice.

To succeed in this role, you will bring substantial experience of working in humanitarian contexts on resilience and climate programming, ideally with an international organisation. You should have a deep understanding of humanitarian architecture, key donors, and external standards, as well as hands-on experience with resilience approaches such as disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, sustainable agriculture or natural resource management. A strong grounding in feminist and human-rights-based approaches is essential, along with a clear understanding of anti-racism and what it means to decolonise aid in practice. You should be comfortable supporting teams, conducting analysis, generating research, communicating complex ideas with clarity, and representing an organisation publicly. The role will also require regular overseas travel, sometimes to insecure environments at short notice.

A postgraduate degree, experience in Africa, Asia or the Middle East, additional languages and academic publications are all beneficial but not essential.

The Research Manager at Healthwatch Hounslow will be an experienced manager of community-focused projects or programmes.

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Manchester.

• The Manchester Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The Manchester Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteering Development Manager to join our charity - this is a new role for the organisation, and will be a great opportunity to shape and develop volunteering across our 54 libraries and support teams.

The Volunteering Development Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of a comprehensive volunteer strategy aligned with library goals and community needs, ensuring consistent best practice, digital transformation of volunteer management systems, and inclusive, high-quality experience to grow our network of around 700 volunteers. They will lead on the design and delivery of the volunteer journey, including recruitment, training, induction, performance, and support of volunteers, coaching and advising Supervisors to ensure consistency.

We are looking for someone with proven experience delivering a volunteering strategy across a multi-site or multi-service organisation (ideally > 500 volunteers). About the Role

The Engagement Officer is responsible for identifying and maintaining meaningful relationships with global stakeholders, including governmental, non-governmental and educational institutions. We are tackling the greatest threats working donkeys face locally and around the world, from the donkey skin trade to challenges working animals face in disasters. By coordinating engagement around sustainable development, wildlife crime, One Health and One Welfare agendas, the Engagement Officer will enable the cohesion within the member groups that the Sanctuary are currently part of and inspire new ways of working. This includes the International Coalition of Working Equids (ICWE) and developing and building new coalition opportunities around working animals.

Principles duties include:

· Build strong internal and external partnerships with global stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental organisations to grow existing and build new relationships.

· Coordinate and assist with accreditations and processes that support access in policy forums.

· Assist in the coordination of coalition and alliance engagement opportunities globally.

· Lead on agreed coalition / alliance priorities such as creating material, meeting with partners and planning international events.

· Create supporting materials and reports for stakeholders that advance the influencing agenda.

· Engage with, and support, team processes around strategic planning for external events and activities.

· Support the wider activities of the influencing work including helping to identify key external stakeholders and new forums.

· Manage the team horizon scanning

The globally working team is spread across the UK and overseas. This role is primarily remote, with flexibility to work from a location based in the UK that suits your needs and the needs of the organisation, in line with the Hybrid Working Guidelines. While the post is nominally linked to the Sidmouth office, there is only an occasional requirement to travel (around 3–4 times per year) to Sidmouth or another UK location for team meetings or organisational events.
