Purpose of the Role

To ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of all operational and participant support aspects for external programmes, including our new Accelerator offer. This role is responsible for coordinating people, processes, logistics, and partner inputs across different delivery models (online and in-person) so that programmes run smoothly, participants are well-supported, and reporting is accurate. We're looking for two Support Workers to join Your Place and be part of our dedicated team to help us with our mission to solve homelessness in east London, one person at a time!

About the role

Based within the Personal Development team, this role is responsible for the service delivery of an effective, high-quality, person centred support service to residents with a range of multiple needs.

They will be the principal providers of support to residents in the Core service to build
hope, enable lasting change; supporting residents to instil independence and longterm sustainability, to ensure we mitigate as much as possible, a return to
homelessness.

The role will require shift work, including evenings and weekends

Other responsibilities include

• To be responsible to the Team Manager and Deputy Team Manager for the day-to-day delivery of the Core service.
• Take a positive, trauma-informed approach to working with residents with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
• Use motivational and asset based interviewing techniques to interview, assess and create support plans and risk assessments that address the needs of residents.
• Supporting residents from point of entry into the service, working with them to support social (re-integration), enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives.
• Conduct regular reviews of support plans and risk assessments as required.
• Take a pro-active approach in multi-disciplinary support required for residents.
• Work within a Psychologically Informed Environment approach and strive to meet targets and deliver results.

• To ensure all service delivery policies and decisions made by the Team Manager or team are observed and followed through.
• To keep accurate records and statistics on referrals, service outputs and outcomes etc.
• To maintain a high standard of record keeping in the office and keep all financial and administrative systems including resident files in the office in an accurate and up-to-date manner in line with policy.
• To ensure the results of all assessments and all service offers are entered clearly and in a timely fashion onto the case management system.
• To liaise and collaborate effectively on a day-to-day basis with outside agencies including the police, social services and other statutory and voluntary agencies.
• To build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.

About you

Experience

• A demonstrable level of experience and understanding of the range of approaches appropriate to working with challenging behaviour including current drug /or alcohol use, antisocial behaviour, offending and substance misuse
• Experience of working with clients in a trauma-informed way with proven effectiveness
• Demonstrate an understanding of statutory compliances and standards such health and safety, equal opportunities, data protection, particularly within a residential setting.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

This project aims to address the impacts of distant water fleets in West Africa and empower communities and governments to secure sustainable, inclusive, and transparent fisheries management that supports food security, nutrition, and livelihoods in the region.

The Holocaust Educational Trust team is made up of hard working, energetic people who are passionate about our mission to educate every person from every background in the UK about the Holocaust and its relevance today.

Over the course of our history, the Trust has created a delivered innovative a meaningful learning experiences and educational programmes which reach over 100,000 young people each year, teaching them about what the Holocaust was, and its relevance today. The schools’ programmes we delivery include our Outreach/survivor speaker programme; our Lessons from Auschwitz Project; the Youth Advocacy/Ambassador Programme; Testimony 360: People and Places of the Holocaust; and Teacher Training. 

We are looking for a proactive, positive and team-oriented Schools Coordinator to work within our busy and fast-paced team. We are proud to have recently been identified as delivery partner for the Department for Education’s ‘Supporting Survivor Testimony in Teaching’ contract. Your priority area will be to ensure the effective and timely onboarding of schools who have registered to take part in this initiative, ensuring that once they have registered, we provide a seamless and efficient user journey, maximum school participation, and encourage further engagement across the organisation.

You will need to use your initiative and have a willingness to adapt to changing demands and priorities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of organisational skills, integrity, problem solving and people skills.

Key responsibilities

When a school registers for one of the Trust’s programmes, the Schools Coordinator manages the logistics and organisation of each school’s engagement, working closely with the schools and link teachers to ensure the smooth delivery of our programme. This includes:

• Coordinate booking dates/times – working with schools to ensure we fulfil their application to join one of our programmes.
• Handle enquiries and maintain accurate booking records.
• Staff allocation – securing freelance educator to deliver content.
• Direct communication – building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, teachers, and school staff, ensuring a smooth user experience for our clients. This includes, but is not limited to, answering queries from teachers / staff as received, linking schools with respective freelance educators as necessary, sharing all relevant updates and information ensuring teachers/staff are fully informed about the delivery plans.
• Courier booking – to ensure all hardware is onsite for respective delivery.
• Kit maintenance – monitoring processes related to monitoring of kit and responding to issues log in a swift manner.
• Monitoring – logistics plans and raising any issues with senior logistics staff as they arise.
• Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Manage office communications, including phone calls and emails.
• Assist with general administrative tasks to support the teams objectives.

This is a full time contracted role until 31st March 2027 working in our Central London office location with hybrid working available in line with organisational policy.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to people who have experienced forced migration in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that they face when preparing for and ultimately finding work in the UK.   

We support all people who have experienced forced migration, regardless of their proximity to the labour market, to develop the skills and access the opportunities they need to secure sustainable and meaningful employment. We run STEP online and in person programmes across the UK.  

We have now expanded our work to deliver (in partnership with the British Council) an English Language and Employment Support Programme for up to 4,000 Ukrainians and Hong Kong BNO status/visa holders (50% of each community) over the next 12 months.

We are recruiting Ukrainian speaking Employment Advisors to join the STEP team delivering this new programme. You will provide high quality advice and guidance through 1:1 employability support and group employability workshops with the aim of coaching individuals and supporting them on their journey into employment that suits their previous experience and skill set.

You will prepare participants for employment and help them to achieve their chosen training and employment objectives. You will monitor and encourage participants’ engagement and attendance in all aspects of the programme. You will provide an exemplary level of support to STEP participants working towards a variety of performance targets based on the progression outcomes of participants including successful delivery of workshops, completion of training courses, volunteering, and achieving and sustaining paid employment. 

The Employment Advisors will work remotely and can be based anywhere in the UK.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience or knowledge within the employment sector
• Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by people who have experienced forced displacement accessing employment.
• Knowledge of adult learning/vocational training
• Experience of delivering 1:1 advice and guidance and coaching
• Experience of reviewing and supervising a case load of participants
• Awareness of Safeguarding people at risk and maintaining professional boundaries
• Experience facilitating group workshops
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Cross-cultural sensitivity
• Good admin and IT skills (CRM database, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Advanced level of English
• Competency in Ukrainian

Duties and Responsibilities

Your principal duties and responsibilities will be to contribute to L&W’s research programme across a range of high-profile and time-critical projects for government, trusts and foundations and other funders. Suitable candidates should demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity throughout the conduct of their duties.

Assist the L&W research team with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. This may involve review and analysis of national and local data sources, recruitment for qualitative research, conducting depth interviews and focus groups with service users, staff and other stakeholders, and managing and analysing data.

• Carry out literature and evidence reviews, including identifying relevant research evidence, appraising the quality of evidence and writing up key findings.
• Support income generation, in collaboration with other Learning and Work staff, including contributing to the preparation of research proposals.

• Assist in other tasks to support the work of the research team as required. This will involve some research administration.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

As the Engagement and Assessment Team Leader, your team will be the first point of contact for someone who comes to Crisis for help to prevent or end their homelessness. You will be responsible for

• Ensuring that your team:
• • Welcomes them to the service on site and at partner agencies (if applicable), listening carefully and non-judgementally to their story,

• • Complete thorough Crisis and Mainstay assessments using a trauma informed approach,

• • Agree realistic options and the support needed to assist them to prevent their homelessness or a pathway out of homelessness helping them formulate a holistic plan take the initial steps, where necessary.

• • Effectively manage a caseload of members who require short term intervention to end their homelessness in a timely manner.

• Supervision and line management of your team/volunteers, including rota management to ensure effective service delivery.

• The initial contact space and service everyone contacting the Skylight will experience, ensuring that it is a psychologically informed approach

• Holding a small caseload, as required.

• Ensuring that you effectively integrate with the Crisis Client Services team on a day-to-day basis; to make collaborative, consistent and Psychologically Informed relationships with members, colleagues, volunteers and partners.

About you

• Excellent knowledge of relevant homelessness, housing and welfare legislation
• Experience of working with individuals affected by homelessness or with complex and multiple support needs
• Experience of providing excellent customer service with a commitment to deliver the highest standard of customer care
• Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team in a busy and potentially pressured environment, dealing with challenging situations and behaviours with a calm and confident approach to reach a positive resolution.
• Proven line management experience including managing employee performance, conducting supervisions, effective delegation and supporting professional development
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
