About the role

You’ll be the main contact for the national training team providing support directly to kinship carers, training facilitators and others relating to the access and delivery of training events and workshops. 

You’ll provide professional and effective administrative and technical support to training operations, including co-ordinating logistics, publishing event details, administrating the back-end data, supplier communication, financial administration and attending in person and online events to ensure smooth delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Training event coordination

• Provide administrative support, including supplier communication, coordinating logistics and delivery of all relevant general and financial administration tasks 

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to coordinate and confirm event logistics for in-person and online events.

• Identify and secure appropriate organisations to exhibit as part of Roadshow marketplace events, providing in event hosting of these organisations. 

• Source and secure venues and catering that meet event requirements for all in-person training events.

• Provide administrative, practical and technical support at training events both online and in-person. 

• Act as central point for Zoom set-up, licenses and queries for team, kinship carers and external partners.

Systems and processes coordination 

• Monitor planned expenditure to ensure it is in line with event budgets. 

• Ensure invoicing and payments are accurate and processed to time. 

• Support the monitoring and reporting on training activity via our Salesforce database, including providing data reports as required. 

• Support the production, update, distribution and quality assurance of workshop materials and ensure all collateral is on brand, signed off as required. 

• Develop and maintain an asset register of all training materials and equipment, ensuring availability when and where it is needed.

• Act as website champion for the team, managing and uploading all training content (workshop and events) and ensuring online training information is kept up to date. 

• Provide support to the training team as required including to assist service improvements and supporting manualisation and documentation of all processes 

• Set up and implement effective tools and documentation to support all operational needs of the training service.

About this role

This part-time role provides a unique opportunity to join the Bevan Foundation’s communications and marketing team. You will play a central role in supporting the charity’s relationship with its supporters and subscribers, enabling us to grow our income. About you

This role is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled training developer to join our growing charity, to develop two eLearning courses that support our goals to train school chefs nationwide. This role will transform our existing flagship Chef Educator programme into a bitesize eLearning course and create a new School Food Standards course,  making high-quality chef training accessible, practical and engaging for every school chef.

About you and the role

We are looking for a creative and systematic Training Development Lead to help us develop two eLearning training courses to support school chefs across the country engage with professional development. 

In this role, you will lead two key training projects. First, you will take the lead on a major digital transformation, evolving our existing flagship School Chef Educator programme, which is currently a 10-week hybrid model, into a streamlined, high-quality, eLearning training course. Working closely with the Chef Educator team, you will transform the course content into a bitesize, accessible online course that will be available nationally. You will work with school chefs to feed into the design, delivery, and pilot of the course, embedding feedback loops to ensure early improvements. You will work with our evaluation team to ensure the course meets our organisation’s goals, whilst embedding impact and evaluation metrics into the back end of the course design.

Second, you will lead the creation of a brand-new eLearning course focused on School Food Standards, ensuring every school chef has the tools to meet modern nutritional and quality benchmarks. The course will be made available to all school chefs nationwide and is therefore required to be accessible and easily digestible to all types of learners. This short course will provide the bedrock to understand the School Food Standards, to ensure compliance and improvements can be made nationwide throughout school kitchens. 

Training for school chefs is currently not mandatory, nor commonplace, a core mission of ours to change, therefore the online-only courses need to truly meet the requirements of trainees, with every minute of training being practical, engaging and delivering high-impact.

Key responsibilities:

Your primary objective is to create two eLearning training courses for school chefs; School Chef Educator & School Food Standards. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Audit the existing 10-week hybrid School Chef Educator programme and reimagining its delivery for a 100% digital environment.

• Design and develop the end-to-end eLearning course for the School Food Standards, ensuring it is accessible, interactive, and compliant with English regulations.

• Work with Programme Managers, Chef Trainers and the Chief Innovation Officer for content information and development of both courses.

• Lead content creation, from scripting video lessons, designing interactive quizzes and self reflective tasks, and creating downloadable resources, specifically tailored for a time poor audience.

• Develop learner journeys, ensuring it is intuitive for users who may have varying levels of literacy and digital literacy, and who may learn across desktop and mobile devices whilst on-site. 

• Work closely with our stakeholders, including school chefs, to ensure all content is grounded in the practical realities of school catering.

• Test and iterate on course modules based on pilot feedback to ensure high completion rates and genuine skill acquisition.

 Essential skills & experience:

• Experience in developing eLearning training courses from scratch, ideally within a Learning Management System (LMS) environment. 

• Experience of successfully converting face-to-face or hybrid training into fully digital formats that maintain high levels of learner engagement.

• You are able to translate technical or complex language into clear, understandable communications. 

• You have experience in developing videos for training courses.

• A strong understanding of how to optimise content for desktop and mobile viewing.

• The ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• You have the ability to listen, understand and interpret user requirements 

• You are self-motivated, audience-focused and driven.

• You have an interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids' health through improving food and food education in schools.

Desirable skills & experience:

• Experience in school catering or the UK education sector

• Experience of the charity sector, and the ability to identify where training outcomes can amplify long-term impact

• The ability to contribute to the creation of training materials or resources that add value to the membership programme.

• An understanding of the challenges and opportunities of working in school food and school catering work environments.

About the Role

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organisation, ensuring strong financial integrity, compliance, and transparency. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both experienced oversight and operational involvement.

The successful candidate will manage the finance and co-ordinate with the administration teams, work closely with external tax advisors and auditors, and ensure that the organisation maintains the highest standards of financial accountability to donors, partners, and regulatory authorities.

Living and working in Bali is required in the first six months of employment. Subsequently, depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience, remote work with regular trips to Bali will be considered.

The Fundraising Manager will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement BAWA’s fundraising and communications strategy, particularly acquiring donors and expanding BAWA’s reach globally. The Fundraising Manager will manage most of BAWA’s fundraising channels including grants and mass emails, and will cultivate relationships with donors and funding organizations.

Qualifications

• Experience fundraising for animal protection organisation(s) is required

Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) is a nonprofit organization registered in Indonesia and the US, and based in Bali.  BAWA’s vision is for all of Bali’s villages to be their own animal sanctuaries, where all beings are treated with compassion and respect. BAWA works every day to save, protect and improve the lives of all animals in Bali and beyond. 

BAWA provides numerous programs from humane dog population management and disease control to extensive education and advocacy programs for sustainable improvement in animal welfare. BAWA works directly to relieve the suffering of animals by providing emergency rescue, food and medication, and rehabilitation and adoption. These programs are supported by educational outreach to schools, universities and villages, as well as individuals.

Contract: Permanent, full time contract.

Hours: 35 hours per week (1 FTE) or 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE, part time option).

We’re looking for an experienced Event Manager to plan, manage and implement delivery of our Big Bang Fair, Tomorrow’s Engineering Live and Big Bag at Parliament STEM events for young people.  This is an exciting role, delivering a variety of events for different audiences, including our showcase event, The Big Bang Fair, which welcomes 20,000+ young people to the NEC, Birmingham, for three days of hands-on STEM inspiration. About the role

This role will lead the delivery and implementation of The Big Bang Fair (9-11 June 2026), Tomorrow’s Engineers Live (likely February 2027), Big Bang at Parliament (November 2026) and other EngineeringUK events as required. The Event Manager will ensure that we deliver against Key Performance Indicators or KPIs, engage with a diversity of schools or stakeholders and improve the impact of these events.
 

The role will report into the Associate Director of Engagement Projects and will work closely to support the delivery of the events portfolio, whilst also working alongside many other internal colleagues such as the Business and Industry, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Careers, Communications and Evaluation teams. You will also work collaboratively with the wider engineering, education and STEM community as well as stakeholders funding our events and agencies supporting delivery.
 

You’ll plan, manage and implement the delivery of EngineeringUK events including establishing internal project teams and managing a schedule of project meetings, monitoring and reporting on progress, sourcing and liaising with venues to ensure a successful event. You will ensure that events have a smooth event booking/registration process and deliver events to time and on budget.

You’ll work with suppliers managing relationships and budgets and build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. You’ll work collaboratively with teams across the organisation such as communications, stakeholder management , evaluation, content development, our head of equity, diversity and inclusion and policy and public affairs colleagues, to name just a few!
 

The role is London based at our office at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and will involve some travel in the UK. Purpose of the role:

The Energy Advice Coordinator will provide essential advice to people affected by spinal cord injury who are struggling with, or at risk of fuel poverty, helping them to improve their situation while recognising and responding to the unique challenges that spinal cord injury can bring. They will manage a caseload offering practical solutions, whilst developing referral pathways to connect them with relevant services to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their fuel costs.

The role will also lead the development of knowledge and skills across Back Ups’ staff and volunteer teams, developing easy to use resources and an understanding of when and how to escalate cases for more in-depth advice. They will work closely with sector charities and advice organisations to ensure a high quality of seamless support while creating a lasting legacy for people affected by spinal cord injury.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide impartial advice to householders on the telephone, at events or online group events.
• Make use of internal and external referral systems to ensure clients’ needs are met;
•  Respond to enquiries from the public, local authority staff, private and voluntary sectors or installers and, where appropriate, redirecting them to members of staff or other agencies;
• Maintain quality of advice and information as required
• Work with the wider Back Up team to create resources to support people affected by spinal cord injury, both digitally and physically.
• Work with Back Up’s services team to embed and deliver group based online advice sessions in our support groups and course modules.
• Develop and lead a programme to ensure Back Up’s services staff and volunteers develop a baseline of knowledge that enables them to identify and provide basic information to people affected by spinal cord injury around energy efficiency.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' energy needs and identify potential solutions and further sources of support through telephone-based support.
• Provide tailored advice on energy-saving measures and support schemes to the caseload.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities, energy providers, and other relevant organisations to ensure comprehensive support for those in the caseload.
• Educate people affected by spinal cord injury on energy efficiency and ways to reduce their energy consumption.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
• Support the project manager with the development, delivery, and evaluation of the energy advice project.
• To maintain up to date, working knowledge of sustainable energy matters, affordable warmth, renewable energy, water heating and usage.
• At all times, ensure that advice service and activity are in line with the requirements of the project;
• Effectively utilise existing sources of data to identify suitable opportunities to meet customers’ needs.
