About the role

As Marketing and Communications Assistant, you will help us tell compelling stories about the work we do and the difference we make to children’s lives.  This exciting role would suit someone looking to gain experience in the charity sector and learn more about different areas of marketing and fundraising.  Experience of using Adobe InDesign is essential. 

Key responsibilities

The workload will be varied and rewarding.  Key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in developing marketing and fundraising campaigns from concept to completion.
• Design and produce print and digital materials, and support basic video editing.
• Create social media content, schedule posts, and update website content.
• Assist in marketing our mental health services to schools and promoting access to our family centres.
• Work with service teams to design engaging resources to support our work with children and families.
• Contribute to events, deliver presentations and manage communications with supporters.
• Help to distribute gifts and food to hundreds of disadvantaged families at Christmas.

About the role

Purpose of the Consultancy

This role provides essential administrative support to the Sightsavers Malawi Country Office during a maternity leave period. The consultant will ensure smooth office operations, effective communication, and support for project activities, helping maintain continuity in eye health and disability inclusion programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate programme and admin activities: Organise meetings, events, and travel logistics for efficient project delivery.
• Manage office operations and communication: Oversee daily office systems, correspondence, and information flow.
• Supervise support staff: Lead and guide drivers and admin personnel to maintain operational standards.
• Handle logistics and procurement: Manage procurement, inventory, vehicle maintenance, and asset records in line with policies.

Meet your Manager

Megan Clay recently took up the position of Head of European Financial and Economic Systems and works with lawyers across the team to implement ambitious legal strategies focussed on systemic impact. Megan was previously a lawyer in our climate team and, until recently, our Lead of Accountable Finance. Before joining ClientEarth, Megan worked as a litigation and disputes lawyer at international law firm Hogan Lovells. Megan lives with her family near Chichester and enjoys running and watersports in her spare time.

We are now recruiting a Team Lead for our Connect to Work IPS service across Kingston and Sutton. This is an opportunity to help shape high-quality IPS delivery and support a team to achieve strong, meaningful outcomes for clients.

What you’ll be doing

If you were working with us, you would be leading a team of six Employment Specialists, providing day-to-day direction, supervision, and practical guidance to ensure excellent IPS practice. You would offer regular one-to-one supervision, in-field mentoring, training, and caseload management support. Your leadership would help the team deliver consistent quality and outcomes across the service.

You would work closely with clinical team leads, contract commissioners, and health partners, maintaining strong and positive relationships to support collaborative, client-led work. You would also contribute to improving performance by identifying challenges, supporting solutions, and modelling excellent IPS practice.

Data analysis and monthly reporting would form part of your responsibilities, ensuring that performance information is accurate, meaningful, and useful. You would work alongside the Operations Manager to monitor progress, address areas for improvement, and maintain high IPS fidelity. While the Operations Manager leads on quarterly reporting, your support and insight would be essential.

Although this is a busy and varied role, you would not be working alone. You would be supported by the Operations Manager and the wider Head Office team, with access to training, guidance, and practical help to enable you and your team to succeed.

What you’ll need

You do not need previous team management experience. Instead, we are looking for:

• Experience as an Employment Specialist or Senior Employment Specialist.

• A proven track record of achieving strong performance in outcomes and quality.

• Confidence demonstrating IPS principles and modelling good practice.

• Experience improving performance or supporting change, whether individually or across a team.

• Advantageous (but not essential): involvement in an IPS fidelity review.

The Role

The Finance & Operations Coordinator is a central position in a small, purpose-driven team. The role provides direct support to the Managing Director and works closely with the Finance Committee to ensure that the charity’s financial and operational systems are well managed, compliant and effective.

This is a broad and hands-on role that involves managing day-to-day UK operations, supporting financial oversight, ensuring smooth coordination with our in-country partners, and keeping our administrative framework in excellent order.

Key Responsibilities

Finance and Reporting

• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, reconciling transactions and processing payments for invoices, payroll and expenses.

• Allocate receipts and donations to the correct funds and ensure supporting documentation is filed systematically.

• Prepare and submit Gift Aid claims to HMRC.

• Collate quarterly financial and narrative reports from Moroccan partner NGOs and follow up on missing information.

Operations and Administration

Donor and Partner Relations

This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Lottery Community Fund’s, Funding Strategy, Innovation and UK Directorate at a key moment in the delivery of our strategy. If you are up for playing a central role in a new team, which will be vital in enabling the Fund to deliver for communities in the years ahead, then this role could be for you.

We are approaching the midpoint of implementation of our strategy “It starts with community”. Over the last few years our funding portfolios in each of the nations of the UK and corporate functions have worked hard to embed the strategic ambitions we set ourselves. We are looking to take stock of our progress, understand how a changing world may impact our work and explore how we can grow our ambition to address the issues that will impact communities over the years ahead. Building on what we have achieved so far, we want to make greater progress including:

• Ensuring the fund has a thorough and live understanding of its collective response to the strategy, where our successes are and where there are opportunities to go further.
• Supporting our senior management team to come together to understand and explore our progress and shape the strategic direction for the organisation together
• Supporting greater engagement and collaboration between funding portfolios to enable sharing and learning, to build a better collective understanding of our missions and commitments and grow our impact
• ​Delivering ambitious and impactful projects to address common opportunities and challenges, for example to support the embedding of partnership working across the Fund, or to respond to the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies.
• Supporting ongoing strategy development, including horizon scanning to maintain a collective picture of key developments related to our missions, cross cutting commitments and wider factors impacting communities.

Your day will be a blend of strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and practical execution, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate, influence, and drive change across the Fund. You will be one of two permanent managers in a small new team led by the Head of Strategy Development.

As this is a new team roles and responsibilities will be defined as the Team comes together. However, responsibilities may include:

• Drafting Senior Management Team (SMT) and Board reports on strategy implementation to update on progress and promote discussions on areas for development.
• Monitoring of funding portfolio strategy development and delivery activity, including maintaining regular engagement with portfolio representatives.
• Reviewing progress reports, identifying risks and issues and shaping recommendations to meet challenges and opportunities to go further in meeting strategic ambitions.
• Working closely with the Fund’s Governance Team to ensure the appropriate use of governance fora to provide oversight of strategy implementation and development work and maintaining an effective forward look of key priorities.
• Leading on engagement with key corporate functions, such as analytical, communications, legal and Human Resources, to support alignment with strategic ambitions.
• Engaging with funding teams across the Fund to support strong alignment between strategic ambition and operational realities.
• Leading discreet projects to explore emerging shared opportunities and challenges, undertaking desk research, engaging internal and external stakeholders and shaping proposals.
• Identifying opportunities for further alignment, internal partnerships and new ways of working.

Main Purpose of the Role: 

To provide proactive, emotional, and practical support to families and individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) across England. The role will focus on early engagement, wellbeing assessment, community building, and delivery of workshops and events, while ensuring accurate tracking of support outcomes and data.   
  
The successful candidate will also lead on support for our End of Life and Bereavement projects, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, palliative care teams, and hospices to ensure families have access to appropriate services and resources. 

Specific Tasks: 

1. Proactive Family Support  

• Initiate contact with newly registered families within agreed timeframes (email within 3 working days, call within 7–10 working days)  

• Contact to be made to all registered Action Duchenne members, knows to us in the Regions you will be covering, to ensure the current support offer is clear   

• Provide ongoing support tailored to individual needs, including emotional wellbeing, physical health, housing, financial security, self-esteem and respect, decision-making, social engagement, quality of life, and access to care  

• Use the Action Duchenne Assessment Form and Action Plan to identify and respond to areas of concern  

2. Advanced and End-of-Life Care Support 

• Provide compassionate, practical, and emotional support to children, young people, and adults living with Duchenne, and their families, as they navigate advanced stages of the condition and end-of-life care. 

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, palliative care teams, and hospices to ensure families have access to appropriate services and resources. 

• Develop and share guidance, resources, and workshops to help families prepare for and manage advanced care planning, symptom management, and emotional wellbeing. 

• Support families in understanding available options for care settings (home, hospice, hospital) and facilitate informed decision-making. 

• Ensure continuity of care and communication between multidisciplinary teams, while respecting family preferences and cultural considerations. 

• Offer signposting to bereavement support and follow-up services for families after loss. 

3. Wellbeing Tracking and Outcome Measurement  

• Administer wellbeing questionnaires and record scores across key domains (e.g. physical health, emotional wellbeing, financial security)  

• Collaborate with families to co-create action plans and track progress  

• Ensure all data is entered into CRM (E-Tapestry or similar) within the allotted timeframe, i.e. immediately after or during the call.  

4. Community Engagement and Event Delivery  

• Organise and deliver regional meetups (minimum one per quarter)  

• Facilitate support groups (virtual and in-person) for parents, young people, and extended family (minimum one per quarter)  

• Support delivery of workshops and events aligned with programme schedule (e.g. music, life skills, employability)  

• Actively participate in networking events to promote Action Duchenne within our communities, build relationships, and drive growth in membership by encouraging registration of families affected by Duchenne 

5. Stakeholder Collaboration  

• Liaise and develop relationships with external organisations including NHS care advisors and clinics, local authorities, counselling services, and other charities  

• Represent Action Duchenne in across your regions and build relationships with local networks  

6. Administration and Reporting  

• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided  

• Contribute to quarterly reporting on activity delivery, capacity utilisation, and family impact  

• Support development of CRM processes and service delivery improvements  

7. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):  

• New contact acknowledgement email: within 3 working days

• New contact follow-up call: within 7–10 working days 

• Families contacted per week: 12–15 hours of direct contact

• Regional meetups: 1 per quarter

• Support groups delivered: 9–12 per year

• CRM data entry: within the same day of interaction

• Family outcomes tracked: via wellbeing questionnaire and action plan 

• Number of families receiving end-of-life care guidance or resources per quarter. 

• Advance Care Planning: Percentage of families supported with advance care planning discussions within 4 weeks of request. 

• Palliative Care Signposting: Number of referrals/signposts made to palliative care or hospice services. 

• Resource Development: Number of end-of-life care resources (guides, workshops, webinars) created and shared annually.

· Lead delivery of the organisation’s 5‑Year Strategy with measurable equity outcomes, reasonable adjustments, and accessible communications.

· Strengthen community engagement and grassroots participation programmes that foster belonging, inclusive access, and (where relevant) targeted diversionary activity.

· Expand leadership pathways through, for example, the LeaderBoard Academy, promoting lived experience, inclusive recruitment, and leadership development.

· Lead, refine and grow Sporting Equals’ Charter offer as a core mechanism for sector support, knowledge transfer and systemic leadership on race equity.

4) External Affairs & Communications

· Build respectful, reciprocal relationships with stakeholders across the UK, amplifying community evidence and beneficiary voice.

· Represent the organisation confidently in the media and at events, modelling inclusive language, behaviours, and values.

5) Risk, Compliance & People

· Actively manage the Risk Register, identifying and mitigating risks including governance failure, discrimination, and safeguarding, with clear escalation routes and accountability mechanisms, including safe recruitment and ongoing staff/volunteer training.

· Lead, support, and develop the Senior Management Team; set fair objectives, conduct appraisals, and champion wellbeing and professional development.

£13.85 per hour (£25,207 per annum)

About us

The Adanna Women’s Support Group provides training and skills to help women into employment and to help women excel in the jobs they are doing. Our training is in Business skills, administration, IT, childcare and employability.

We are looking for an employment coach who can support women who are economically inactive to improve their skills and find employment

The Role

This role will support a small caseload of women with a range of needs who are looking to move into work, enabling them to find the right opportunities and sustain the roles through improved skills training. The coach will also need to be skilled in working with employers to source jobs and support them to make their roles accessible. Growing and maintaining a strong employer base will be a central part of this role.

Minimum Criteria

· An understanding of the employment needs, and challenges faced by BAME women who are economically inactive or experience multiple barriers to employment.

· Experience of working with individuals on a one-to-one basis, developing personalised plans and goal setting

· Experience of managing a range of tasks at any one time, and holding positive relationships with different stakeholders

-Experience of designing and delivering entry level training e.g. digital skills, confidence building, English as a second language conversation sessions

Working hours

· The role is a part time fixed contract position with the possibility of extending pending receipt of funding. Working 21 hours per week, Monday, Thursday and Friday. Hours are flexible but ideally 9.30 to 4.30pm.
