Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate Activities: Lead and facilitate a range of group activities, including creative workshops, community events, and school-based sessions. Encourage participation and create engaging, inclusive experiences that support learning, wellbeing, and social connection.

Community Library Services: Help create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible community library environment. Support library users by providing information, promoting services, and encouraging community engagement. Assist with the day-to-day running of library activities and services.

About the role

This role is one of three Senior Analytical Manager roles in the Analysis and Modelling team. You will work closely with the other Senior Analytical Managers, and other senior staff across the Foundation. You will be responsible for leading a team of four analysts, developing and maintaining our modelling and simulation capability, and ensuring that the team deliver modelling and simulation products to thematic programme teams to agreed timescales and quality.

About the role

This is a key role to help drive RFUK’s income generation and donor engagement. As Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a key role in the delivery of RFUK’s fundraising strategy to sustain and broaden the organisation’s scale and impact.

This is a hands-on role that moves between two registers: structured qualitative research with proper analytical underpinning, and fast-turnaround reactive policy work. You will need to be genuinely comfortable in both able to run a multi-month thematic publication and turn around a tight briefing or consultation response within 48-72 hours when a policy window opens.

The role will lead The Difference's qualitative research and insight function, including research workstreams tied to the Difference Schools Partnership's annual thematic priorities, and our Harmful and Abusive Behaviours (HaB) workstream convening a sector council to build a shared framework for how schools understand and respond to peer-on-peer harm. You will produce briefings, evidence submissions and publications, manage external research partners, and work with the CEO, Head of Policy and Communications team to launch research with real impact. The role reports to the Head of Policy and works closely with colleagues across Strategy, Research and Programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead The Difference's qualitative research and insight function, running research workstreams tied to annual DSP thematic priorities and emerging strands on MAT inclusion and LA working
• Design and deliver qualitative research with schools, MATs and local authorities interviews, focus groups, school visits and thematic analysis  translating findings into evidence and policy recommendations
• Lead the Harmful and Abusive Behaviours research workstream, convening a sector council, producing briefing material and managing the route from convening to publication
• Produce timely, citable evidence for policy influence  including drafting briefings, consultation responses and evidence submissions on fast turnaround
• Project manage publication cycles from scoping through to launch, working with coalition and media partners to maximise reach and tracking policy traction post-launch
• Brief, manage and integrate the outputs of external research partners where commissioned (e.g. FFT Datalab, Pro Bono Economics)
• Capture and develop case studies from DSP schools and the wider Difference network

Role-specific focus (depending on post):

Journey Delivery role:

• Work with stakeholders across Design, Product, Creative, Data and Technology teams to design, build and optimise outstanding, supporter-led journeys focusing on priority audiences.
• Delivering high quality end-to-end journeys across multiple channels, with a focus on campaigns using first party data
• Ensuring engaging content and creative is aligned across channels and with brand messaging

Email & SMS role:

• Leading the delivery of email and SMS campaigns, including
• team management and channel optimisation
• Manage a team of 5 Executives (3 Senior Executives, 2 Executives) to deliver email and SMS marketing campaign plans on time and meet agreed KPIs
• Be a channel expert for email & SMS delivery and work with marketing teams across the charity to implement improvements to email and SMS campaigns and supporter journeys.
• Gather learnings of digital marketing trends or changes and work to implement these at Cancer Research UK
• Work closely with the Product Manager for Adobe Campaign to maximise the potential of the tool and ensure its smooth running
• Work closely with the Senior Channel Manager for Email & SMS to bring together an Email and SMS Community of Practice, a place where all marketers at the charity can share learnings and encourage testing to help optimise campaigns

What skills are we looking for?

• To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carers.
• To ensure that all checks and references are undertaken and completed.

• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
• To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• £2,250 per Form F Assessment / £37.50 per hour,  plus £250 bonus for ‘panel ready’ assessments, plus £250 bonus for completion within 16 weeks, plus 45p mileage
• £37.50 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.
