A Rocha UK is the only national Christian conservation charity in the UK. Our mission is to mobilise Christians and churches to care for the natural world. We do this currently through a number of programmes reaching different parts of the Christian community: Eco Church for local churches, Partners in Action facilitating conservation efforts by Christian land managers, Wild Christian, supporting individuals and households to act on nature, including by campaigning, and our Convening programme, supporting Christian environmental leaders. Purpose of Job:

Working closely with a Steering Group of senior staff and expert volunteers, you’ll coordinate the modular Christian Environmental Mobilisers (CEMs) course, from helping refine course modules, liaising with expert contributors and ensuring course promotion through A Rocha’s communications, to managing participant registration, scheduling online learning sessions, and helping evaluate impact. The role will report to Andy Atkins, CEO of A Rocha UK and an experienced campaigner and mobiliser.

Background and overall purpose of the role:

The People Partner (PP) will play some key roles within the organisation. As a strategic talent leader, the PBP will focus on the people functions strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities

Development Finance Support and Recording Donations

· Accurately record donations received through a range of channels, including direct debit, bank transfer, online platforms, cheques, and cash, using both finance and development systems.

· Liaise closely with the Development Team to ensure donations are correctly classified and reported.

· Reconcile donation records between systems to maintain consistency and accuracy.

· Work with colleagues to identify missed pledge payments and recurring gifts.

· Maintain well‑organised and reliable financial and donor data to support effective reporting.

Gift Processing

· Prepare and submit Gift Aid claims in compliance with HMRC regulations.

· Process fortnightly Direct Debits and associated amendments.

· Maintain and update fund, campaign, and donor trackers, including research into historic funds.

Development Expenditure

· Work with the Development Director to ensure development‑related expenditure is recorded correctly.

· Monitor and report on Equals Money expenditure and other designated development funds.

Reporting and Budgeting

· Produce clear and accurate reports on income and expenditure for Finance and Development teams.

· Support reporting for the Finance & Planning Committee and Governing Body.

· Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting.

We make sure babies and children receive the vital treatment they need, no matter where they are. Alongside these urgent medical transfers, we provide tailored, wrap-around support for families to help them through a crisis, creating long-term improved health and well-being outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team on a fixed-term 14 month contract (maternity cover). 

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events and community fundraising streams, but the post-holder would also be expected to regularly support activities across our corporate partnerships, individual giving and Family Fundraising streams of fundraising too.

You will play a key role in developing these income streams, engaging our supporters to motivate them to fundraise for Lia’s Wings and creating initiatives that introduce new people to our organisation.

Key Responsibilities: 

Event Management

• To manage our Challenge, Community and Special Event fundraising streams to achieve set targets. This will include management of challenge events such as our flagship event, Ride for Lia, as well as London Landmarks and the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
• To manage our annual Air Ambulance Mingle and develop existing plans for a new Christmas Carol Concert

Corporate and Community Partnerships

• To assume account management of our smaller corporate and community partnerships (who are primarily engaged with us through event fundraising)
• To support the Director of Fundraising in the delivery of our larger corporate and community partnerships.

Supporter Engagement

• To effectively steward fundraisers to ensure an excellent supporter experience (resulting in year-on-year participation), including appropriate thanking and recognition, reporting and feedback on outcomes of events.
• To build strong relationships with existing and new stakeholders, including event committees and our Board of Trustees.

Essential Experience and Skills

• A minimum of three years proven experience in a fundraising role, preferably in a challenge, community or special events fundraising role.
• Demonstrable ability to build relationships and effectively steward and support fundraisers to exceed their targets.
• Experience in writing and developing stewardship plans and in creating engaging fundraising collateral to support donors and supporters of all levels.
• Demonstrable experience in developing and managing fundraising evens from design to completion, including logistical planning, budgeting, forecasting, stewardship and evaluation.
• Experience working with fundraising committees and/or Trustee Groups.

In this exciting and varied role, you will manage the HR lifecycle, provide HR advice, develop and improve policies and processes, and manage payroll and benefits. You will report to the CEO and work with the with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to deliver a high quality HR & Payroll service. You will demonstrate and promote the culture and values of FoodCycle, incorporating equity, diversity, inclusion and environmental sustainability.​

This is a key role in which you will enjoy using your expertise to interact with all FoodCycle staff (~40 headcount) and lead initiatives like the annual staff survey, performance reviews and provide quarterly HR updates to the Board. At our Southampton rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7. 

The centre has facilities to care for dogs and cats, as well as a specialised area for kittens.

Our Volunteer Coordinators recruit and support our amazing volunteers in the local area, promote the benefits of volunteering and raise the awareness of our centre and Blue Cross.

As a Volunteer Coordinator you will be responsible for recruiting and supporting a diverse team of volunteers. Working closely with the Centre Manager and Assistant Managers, you will ensure our volunteers who undertake a diverse range of roles, are fully integrated into the team, ensuring the team welcome and collaborate with these wonderful people.

In addition to this, you will be building relationships with local communities and partners, promoting the benefits of volunteering to provide more targeted support. 

This role works on a 2-week rota.  

Week 1 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. 

Week 2 – Tuesday, Thursday.  

There may be some flexibility around working days, along some ad hoc weekend working.   

At our Southampton rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7.  Overnight shifts are usually undertaken by team members who live on site.  Occasionally you will be expected to carry out night checks when the resident team members are either not working or away for a period of time.

• Strategically manage a portfolio of mass participation events to agreed acquisition and income targets, driving growth and long‑term supporter engagement.
• Lead on marketing and acquisition campaigns for your events, working closely with our Digital and Brand teams to create compelling assets and reach new audiences.
• Oversee all event operations and on‑the‑day planning, collaborating with Regional Engagement teams and managing key supplier and organiser relationships.
• Create and maintain multichannel stewardship journeys, ensuring supporters receive exceptional experiences delivered consistently across teams.
• Track, monitor and report on event budgets, KPIs and performance, using insight to plan, forecast and make recommendations for future investment.

What do I need? 

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Strong strategic and operational experience in mass‑participation events.
• Experience of delivering successful marketing and acquisition campaigns.
• Proven ability to create effective, data‑driven stewardship journeys.
• Excellent prioritisation, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and negotiate with external organisations.
• Experience interpreting and working with budgets, forecasts and financial data.
• Project and/or programme management experience.
