About the role

As Events Fundraising Manager, you will lead, shape and deliver an exciting portfolio of fundraising events, including virtual challenges, our annual Golf Day, and Headway’s prestigious Annual Awards. You will also steward supporters through major third‑party events such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Data Services is part of the Central Services of the Church of England, providing statistical information, data, analysis, research and consultancy.

The team works collaboratively with the National Church Institutions (NCIs), dioceses and parishes collecting and assembling data to support the Church's missional, pastoral and operational activities through high-quality information and analysis. In the context of the Church of England's Transforming Effectiveness Programme, the Data Services Team will work to promote data collection that is economic, efficient and effective, producing high-quality services and deliverables geared to a varied range of customer needs. Within Data Services, the Partner & Projects team will be the main interface between all of Data Services and its customers across the NCIs, dioceses and parishes, ensuring that opportunities for collaboration are identified and acted upon. This role is being advertised as a one-year fixed-term maternity cover, or until the substantive post holder returns from maternity leave. It may also be offered as a secondment opportunity for internal NCI employees.

Role Purpose:

The Circle is an alternative to A&E for young people and children who are finding it hard to cope with their mental health, when medical intervention might not be necessary. We provide one-off in the moment support, and we are open every day of the year.

Mental health advisors are part of the core team, supporting children and young people aged 5-18 and their families every day. We do not have waiting lists. You are expected to work within HFEH Mind’s policies and procedures and adhere to our code of conduct/values.

This role may suit those that have worked with vulnerable children in the past, including, but not limited to, support workers, CAMHS workers and mental health workers. We work within a diverse borough and look to reflect this in our team.

Job Summary:

The mental health advisor role is a key part of the delivery of the Circle, working to support young people and their families who are finding it hard to cope. They will conduct (up to) hour long, one-off sessions with children and young people aged 5-18, providing: safety planning, coping mechanisms, psychoeducation, and signposting, and supporting in de-escalation. This will be delivered with a non-judgemental and empathetic approach.

As a mental health advisor, you will need to be ready to respond in the moment to presenting (often unknown) concerns. You will dynamically risk assess situations and be confident in raising concerns when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to provide support to children, young people and their families.
• Work within the Circle framework and follow all HFEH Mind’s policies and procedures.

About the role 

In this Senior Marketing Officer role with the Activation Team, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Press Inserts and Door Drop campaigns. You will be supporting the Senior Marketing Manager and taking direct responsibility in the exploration and delivery of new campaigns, projects and channels. The role will also include support in the delivery of the DRTV and Brand programmes as well as supporting with ad hoc team requirements.

In this role, you will: 

1. Work closely with multiple internal and external teams, creative and media agencies and printers. Manage key agency relationships, including liaising with account managers to deliver campaigns and projects.

3. Work with the Insight Team and creative agencies to manage and deliver audience focussed communications. 
4. Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) to prepare annual plans and budgets and manage monthly cost monitoring and invoice processing. 
5. Collaborate with relevant colleagues in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Proven experience in a successful direct marketing, fundraising, supporter activation and/or supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role
• Experience working in a project managing role, in particular leading or supporting on the delivery of complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders 
• Ability to work flexibly and independently, to manage varying competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with often changing priorities

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience of project managing direct marketing campaigns from start to finish across a range of channels, including print, telemarketing and digital.

The Senior Volunteer Coordinators play a vital role in ensuring an outstanding volunteer experience for these student leaders, as this creates the foundation for meaningful engagement with fellow students and the wider community.

As a Senior Volunteer Coordinator, you will lead on the volunteer experience across four key areas of student-led activity:

As a Senior Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll ensure that students are at the heart of all your decision-making, continually improving our student leadership programmes according to our impact data so that students become empowered community leaders and active citizens.

There are two Senior Volunteer Coordinators based in the team, alongside colleagues similarly focused on at-scale student engagement across a range of programmes. The team aims to create opportunities for students to build and participate in communities that are inclusive, sustainable, ambitious, and impactful, and the Senior Volunteer Coordinators will play a key role in achieving this vision for our student leadership programmes.

Key responsibilities:

As Development Manager, you will support the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy for key restoration projects. You will identify and research a pipeline of prospective individual donors, high-net-worth individuals and corporates capable of supporting these capital works. You will develop high-quality grant applications in collaboration with colleagues (including a National Lottery Heritage Fund bid) and manage funder relationships through effective reporting on grant use and impact. You will refresh and manage the Friends scheme to improve member recruitment, retention and encourage upgrades to higher giving levels. You will also relaunch the legacy fundraising programme, promoting gifts in wills sensitively to Friends and visitors.

To be successful, you will need or need to be:

• Significant demonstrable experience in a fundraising or development role in a charity
• Demonstrable experience in Individual Giving or supporting Capital Campaigns.
• Demonstrable experience writing successful grant applications, ideally with previous experience of working on a successful National Lottery Heritage Fund bid.
• Experience in managing membership schemes and organising and delivering supporter events.

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000

The role

About the role 

This is a new role within the Legacies Team. Our legacy notifications and income have been steadily growing and we are excited to be expanding the team. 

In this role, you will be a crucial part in ensuring that all legacies to the charity are administered in a timely and sensitive manner, maintaining and building great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 

Legacies currently fund over half of our work and you will have an important role in helping Parkinson’s UK support more people affected by Parkinson’s. 

What you’ll do:

• Work with the Legacy Administration Manager to actively manage a varied caseload

• Handle a mixture of pecuniary, residuary and reversionary legacy cases 

• Tailor your approach to each case depending on the circumstances, having a flexible approach whilst ensuring that all gifts are administered in a timely manner

• Work to optimise Parkinson’s UK legacy income where appropriate 

• Ensure that all bequests to Parkinson’s UK are received and utilised, in accordance with Parkinson’s UK policies, including Local Group gifts

• Maintain your knowledge of current legislation around IHT, CGT, s.119 requirements etc 

• Play an active role in the wider legacy team and promoting Gifts in Wills where necessary

What you’ll bring:

• Demonstrable experience and understanding of charity legacy administration 

• Ability to communicate clearly, assertively and compassionately with Executors, solicitors and bereaved family and friends

• High level of numeracy skills in order to approve complex Estate Accounts and tax calculations 

• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools to work collaboratively and productively. 

• Ideally have experience of using First Class 4 legacy software 

• Either have or are working towards a recognised professional legacy qualification including Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (CiCLA), Solicitor, or other relevant legal qualification

About the Role:

The Triage and Early Intervention Officer (TEIO) will be responsible for making initial contact with adults who may require support after experiencing domestic abuse. You will speak on the telephone to adults who have experienced domestic abuse and you will be responsible for completing risk assessments and safety planning. During the call you will provide practical and emotional support in a way that is flexible and caring, listening carefully to what is being said and showing empathy at all times.

You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of domestic abuse, who may have gone through life-changing experiences.

Previous call centre experience would beneficial but is not essential as full training is given. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.
