Our client is the charity for the working animal of the world. Since 1923, working through a series of global projects and partnerships across 23 low-income countries, it has supported the welfare of working donkeys, horses, camels, oxen and other working animals in communities that depend on them for water, transport, agriculture, and their very survival.

As part of the charity’s ambitious strategic development plans, they are recruiting a Fundraising Relationships and Business Development Manager. In this role, you will drive the development and growth of their corporate and high-value donor relationships. You will grow the acquisition of new high-value donors and corporate partners, while developing our relationships with existing funders.

Your key responsibilities include:

High value donor and corporate fundraising programme management

- Manage the development and delivery of the high-value donor and corporate fundraising programme, to maximise relationships, partnerships, and long-term income.
- Develop and drive the delivery of a structured, dynamic, and agile acquisition plan for the high- value donor and corporate programme, to maximise engagement and income.
- Develop existing and new relationships though the right mix of tailored approaches/asks and exemplary stewardship activities (such as feedback reports, face to face meetings, phone calls) to secure new sources of funding, upgrade existing levels of giving, repeat donations and multi-year funding.
- Manage the high-value donor and corporate marketing and stewardship programmes, supervising appeals, approaches, updates, and all related activities to ensure clear, concise and compelling proposals and reporting.
- Provide the Fundraising Relationships Officer with clear, collaborative, and supportive line management, that maximises staff performance and wellbeing.
- Research and pursue high-value donor fundraising work in assigned new target areas (both in the UK and overseas territories within their global fundraising programme, such as Australia) to expand the programme’s reach and impact.
- Manage the development and delivery of their fundraising events.
- Work with colleagues to ensure required PR and communications activities concerning major donors funding are developed and delivered.

Programme support and administration

- Take responsibility for the high-value donor and corporate fundraising budgets and contribute to target setting, monitoring, and analysis of the programme.
- Provide regular reports and information on progress, targets and income generated.
- Deputise for the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Partnerships when required.
- Ensure all activities are legally compliant, in keeping with their values and adherent to due diligence and our Acceptance or Refusal of Donations Policy.

Your knowledge:

- Knowledge of high-value donor and corporate fundraising principles and practices.
- Knowledge of donor and partner acquisition techniques.
- Knowledge of developing and delivering compelling pitches and applications.

Your experience:

- Experience of working in a busy fundraising, marketing, or commercial business team.
- Experience of attracting and acquiring new donors and partners.
- Experience of prospect research techniques and using research to suggest suitable projects/areas of interest/building a long-term relationship.
- Experience of developing, building and maintaining relationships with high-value stakeholders and organisations.
- Experience of line management and building a collaborative, high-performance team.
- Experience of managing or contributing to the development and delivery of fundraising events (desirable).

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans, the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity. We are looking for a highly organised individual to provide co-ordination and administrative support for Sustrans-wide business development systems, activities. 

As the Business Development Officer, you will support colleagues across the organisation bidding for tenders and grant funding, by helping to guide bid submissions through a series of steps, from initial assessment to submission to funder decision. 

In this role you will support Project Officers and Senior Managers with all aspects of bid preparation including checking for compliance, proof reading and formatting. 

This role requires you to be proactive in researching new potential funding sources and monitoring grant and tender alerts; and you will be expected to manage and further develop a suite of bidding resources.

You will work from a Sustrans office, preferably in Bristol, with the flexibility to work from home, or home-based within reasonable travelling distance from Bristol.

Experienced in providing administrative support and coordinating work in a busy environment, you will be able to communicate and build relationships easily, enabling you to engage with multiple teams and work effectively with colleagues across the organisation. 

You will be highly organised, comfortable multi-tasking and working to deadlines, with excellent attention to detail. You’ll use your excellent planning skills to help anticipate and manage potential issues before they arise.

UK Programmes Officer

Main Responsibilities:

To work within the UK Programmes by providing support to Masjid Benchmarking, organising online Seminars, Support to Icare, Masjid Benchmarking, Education (Madaris) oversee and monitor Masjid Connect and Islamophobia monitoring, Publicity, supporting other areas of work of UKIM central team that may be delegated e.g. Imam CPD, Dawah, Tarbiyah.

Essentially the role is to support the Head of UK programmes to implement a varied and diverse programme of engagement to support improvement of the different programmes, masjids, branches, and departments in UKIM that require the support from UK Programmes Team. 

The post is varied and ever changing depending on the needs of the members and programmes within UKIM.   

Key Duties:

• To support Masjid and Branch Improvement through enabling them to undertake the self-assessment audit and then to deliver a development day based on the self-audit.

• To organise training both face to face and online that will enable masjids and branches to develop and move forward in their work programme.

• To bring on board speakers that will enable mosques to develop.

• To engage with the Dawah programme and to develop a robust programme of support to meet the needs of the department and different stakeholders. Aquarius helps young people aged 5-18 overcome the harm caused by drugs and alcohol by working closely with the individual, family members and other professionals.  But it’s only possible with people like you.

Right now, our Bedfordshire Young People’s service is looking for a Complex Needs Practitioner to join the team. This role will be in partnership with Bedfordshire Youth Offending Service and will require some co-location from the Youth Offending Offices around Bedfordshire to be an integral part of both teams.

Your challenge? To provide information and advice, brief interventions and long term structured support to young people who are using drugs and alcohol or being impacted by someone else’s use.  You will be conducting assessments, risk assessments, care-planning and working directly with other services such as schools, social care, health provisions, alternative education providers and mental health services.The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work with other agencies both face to face, email and via telephone.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you will be required to hold a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we will consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. You will have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality, excellent record keeping and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Policy and Public Affairs team, during an election year, delivering a number of vital pieces of research designed to improve walking, wheeling and cycling and transport more broadly.  

As the Policy Officer, you will lead on delivering two key policy projects for Sustrans with support from our Head of Policy and Senior Policy Officer. You will help develop evidence, policy and practice working closely with colleagues to maximise long-term opportunities to help increase transport choice for people. 

We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and occasional travel to a nearby office hub with an expectation of a monthly team meeting in Bristol and occasional travel for project related activity.

About the role

As a Lived Experience Coordinator, you’ll deliver a programme of involvement activities with the aim of ensuring the views and experiences of individuals with lived experience of bad housing or homelessness informs all of Shelter’s work. We’ll also rely on you to deliver involvement activities across the organisation which will shape the ongoing design, delivery and governance of our work. People with lived experience will be involved in a range of ways too, including involvement groups, taking part in events within local communities, co-designing services and campaigns, sharing stories and speaking out about the housing emergency. The overriding aim is to work closely alongside people with lived experience to influence and steer the direction of Shelter’s work, so that lived experience informs everything we do.

About you

To succeed, you’ll need the ability to facilitate involvement groups and other activities to involve people with lived experience in Shelter’s work while ensuring a safe and inclusive space where everybody can contribute. The ability to plan and co-ordinate involvement activities with local teams, with several activities running during the same time period, is important too, as is a flair for developing successful relationships with colleagues across a large organisation, as well as with local organisations and partners. Some experience of presenting information verbally and in writing is also required, as is proficiency using IT tools to carry out your day-to-day work, including case management systems, Microsoft Office, internet, email and online meetings.

As shop supervisor, you will support the shop manager and assistant shop manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience. This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the Chelsea Pensioners (known as In-Pensioners). It has a rich history and provides supported accommodation as well as residential and nursing care for approx. 300 retired soldiers. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Hospital Chelsea where we are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Health & Wellbeing team in a new role as Tenancy & Contributions Officer.  

The Tenancy & Contributions Officer will lead on the delivery and continuing evolution of the tenancy agreement (known as the In-Pensioner Agreement). Part of the delivery of the agreement will be coordinating the process of setting and reviewing In-Pensioner’s personal financial contribution to the Royal Hospital. The role also requires the individual to support with benefit applications as required, as well as undertake other housing management related tasks on behalf of the organisation.

In addition, the role is also a core component of the recruitment process for new In-Pensioners being the point of first appeal should a candidate be unsuccessful in their application to join. The role is complex, but we have a vibrant multidisciplinary team that is there to help. This role will add tremendous additional value to how we develop and deliver our services.

Working closely with colleagues and partner organisations, the individual appointed will be required to have strong administrative and analytical skills as well as demonstrable customer care and communication skills that enable them to build effective working relationships with In-Pensioners, colleagues and other stakeholder alike.
