About Us
The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.
The role
Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. So the job is to proactively find those local businesses happy to talk to us, understand what they might be looking for by partnering with a charity, share our brilliant story along with the business case (which is strong) for them to get involved with us in some way. We have made an excellent start, we already have a small number of great corporate partners, and this job is about taking it all on to the next level. As you would expect the role is about creating contacts, networking, maximising the face-to-face time with prospective partners and where possible gaining referrals. And, ultimately this is all because, the bigger our portfolio of corporate partners all feeling great about their involvement with us, the more able we are to raise the funds we need to keep up with an ever-increasing demand for our services.
About You
You live within - or know well, West/Central London, you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the product or service you’re talking about. You have a CV that demonstrates solid experience in a comparable role in a ‘business-to-business’ environment, a role - the success of which, is dependent on the levels of energy and proactivity you provide. This could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. However, if you have a solid B2B background and want to explore a change of direction you are also very welcome to apply. You are comfortable and confident with working autonomously, you can articulate and ‘bring to life’ your story through your presentation skills. You also need great listening skills so you can build a picture of what each new corporate partner is looking to achieve by signing up to our cause. You have used Microsoft suite products before – including PowerPoint.

About the role
The role of the Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager is to generate income to meet the Charity’s fundraising requirements by maintaining and developing successful partnerships with corporate and community group supporters, through donations, sponsorship, employee and group fundraising activities and events (organised both by Hope and third parties).
As a Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager at Hope, you will work alongside our existing Corporate and Community Fundraiser. Together you will be responsible for the delivery of corporate and community activities, and our annual income and expenditure budget.

Rays of Sunshine exits to brighten the lives of seriously ill children aged three to 18 across the UK by granting magical wishes and providing ongoing support within the community. Our work creates a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.
You will be joining a small but passionate team, full of positivity, energy and drive to succeed and we need someone who will be a part of our success, helping to achieve our new vision for the charity to ensure we can creating lasting memories for all children and young people with a life limiting illness.
In this role you will be responsible for working across corporate partnerships, major donors, trusts and foundations, with a prominent focus on supporting with account management of existing partnerships and developing our pipeline of prospects. The charity has a history of success in these areas and we would love to have someone join the team to build upon this success.
Ideally the candidate would have existing experience in corporate partnerships, but we are open to candidates with experience in one or more of the fundraising disciplines mentioned above, with a willingness to develop their skills and experience, through a supportive, coaching and a mentoring leadership style.
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships
- Support with creating proposals and pitches to secure Brand, Corporate and Commercial Partnerships, with a strong focus on shared purpose and mutual benefit, to create successful long term strategic partnerships.
- Support with relationship management of current partners of Rays of Sunshine, ensuring they have materials to aid their fundraising.
- To manage the input of corporate partnership data on the CRM system (currently Donorfy).
- Manage the updates to the corporate pipeline master document, ensuring appropriate actions are met within deadline.
- Supporting the Corporate Volunteer Researcher to undertake the necessary research to support our pipeline of approaches.
Philanthropy
- Creating supporter updates and reports to demonstrate the impact of funding received from our Patrons and Major Donors, providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.
- Provide support with the event planning of major donor events, and attend in person to provide support of events on the day.
Trusts and Foundations
- Support with research and the successful completion applications to secure donations from a pipeline of identified Trusts and Foundations
Stewardship
- Identifying new opportunities to create wow moments for donors and provide excellent stewardship of all major donors and partnerships.
General
- General administrative duties, including record meeting notes and actions, following up with partners, sending out of promotional materials, monitoring and responding to email enquiries, and taking telephones calls.
- Any other duties to support the success of the fundraising team.

You’ll be joining a high-performing team that has a large portfolio of high-profile corporate partners including but not limited to Omaze, The Perfume Shop, Slimming World, Bloomberg, TP ICAP, and Dyson. Alongside having just secured brilliant new partnerships with Cadbury, Warburtons and John West.
We’re looking for a New Business Officer to join our team, to secure new partnerships that will grow income and take us one step closer to a cure.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Identify and build strategic relationships to generate income from new corporate supporters.
· A focused and strategic approach to identifying, researching, and targeting prospective corporate partners.
· Work closely with Corporate Partnerships Manager (CPM) to deliver our successful new business strategy.
· Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities to include strategic partnerships and charity of the year partnerships.
· Develop engagement plans for prospects, with innovative, commercially minded ideas, to maximise the chances of securing successful partnerships.
· Create innovative and creative applications/proposals for charity of the year and strategic partnerships.
· Actively network with potential corporate partners through warm contacts, events, conferences, and other available media.
· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of new business approaches in liaison with CPM, communicating progress regularly.

Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context.
· Organise and attend networking and cultivation events as required, influencing, and engaging high-level external contacts.
· Deliver high-quality and creative presentations and proposals to help target and engage prospects and convert them into partners.
· Organise tailored face-to-face meeting opportunities to initiate and build relationships.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ARUK activities, including research being funded, and be an advocate of ARUK at all times.
What we are looking for:
· Corporate fundraising experience, or business development experience in a corporate role.

About the role
Smart Works Reading exists to empower all women who need help getting into work. We aim to support 1000 clients with our Interview and Preparation service per year. As such, we require vital funding from Grants, Trusts, Corporates and Foundations to enable us to achieve our mission. We also need support to deliver our annual calendar of corporate events.
We are seeking a Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to join our small and ambitious team. The successful candidate will build a strong pipeline of grant funders, gifts from Trusts & Foundations, and corporate donations, incorporating both core and restricted funding.
The successful candidate will report directly into our Board of Trustees, and work alongside our small staff team, with the objective of maximizing local funding opportunities, expanding our portfolio of grant funders and corporate donations, and attendant relationships, and contributing to a growth in income for the charity. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and identifying prospective funders and corporate partners, writing and submitting high-quality applications and proposals, and delivering excellent grant management, donation and stewardship updates. They will also work closely with the Events Trustees to deliver an exciting calendar of corporate and community fundraising events, and lead our annual sport challenge, Cycle for Smart Works.
We are seeking a proactive self-starter, with experience in philanthropic fundraising and relationship management, excellent written communication skills and demonstrable attention to detail. Smart Works Reading is a collaborative environment, with dynamic teams and ambitious plans across the UK. It is a rewarding national community with regular liaison with the London Charity Partnerships and Fundraising Team.
This is a hybrid role, working from the Reading centre at least three days per week. Some evening and weekend work will also be required to support philanthropic fundraising and wider fundraising events such as Fashion Sales.

Duties and responsibilities
- Building excellent relationships and networking with corporate and community partners, generating awareness and income of minimum £165k for the centre across grants, events and corporate fundraising.
- Maintain database with relevant income tracking and pipeline data to facilitate regular KPI and financial reporting to the Board of Trustees.
- Lead our annual signature corporate challenge - Cycle for Smart Works - to target income c. £25k, including managing the project locally from planning to delivery, identifying and onboarding corporate and community participant teams and stewardship of the programme.
- Securing one-year and multi-year grants from a range of Trusts and Foundations, including traditional grant funders, local charities, family foundations and corporate foundations to meet income targets c. 100k.
- Researching and identifying prospective grant funders, and corporates, donors and individuals who could support Smart Works Reading, and building and maintaining long-term relationships.
- Writing high-quality grant applications, working collaboratively with the Chair of the Board and staff team to deliver creative and compelling proposals for both core and restricted funding.
- Maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective funders, including the preparation of impact reports and sharing regular updates on grant management.
- Maintaining an accurate data record of pledged, banked and prospective income for the Reading centre, working in collaboration with Smart Works Charity to maintain local management accounts.
- Representing Smart Works Reading to a diverse range of stakeholders and audiences to generate income and raise brand awareness within the local community.
- Support the Events Trustee with stewardship of fashion and retail partners, including venue and catering supporters, as well as our corporate partners supporting the charity.
- Support the delivery of our signature fundraising events, including high-end supporter events and fashion sales, where the Events Trustee manages the project from concept to execution and ensures income targets are met.
- Developing and implementing new initiatives to raise funds for the charity, for example, Fashion Club, following other centre’s initiatives.
Personal specification
Essential Criteria
- Experience generating income of at least five figures from philanthropic income. Demonstrable experience securing corporate partnerships.
- Experience in cultivating strong and positive relationships, both internally and externally, with multiple and senior stakeholders.
- Presentation skills, to prospective partners and able to tell the Smart Works story.
- Experience working with grant applications and/or funding proposals, presentations, and utilising arrange of tools to identify new funding opportunities.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals and reports for different audiences.

About the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager role is responsible for delivery across the breadth of the partnerships pipeline. We are working with a childrens health charity to recruit this key role to cover maternity leave for 12 months. The charity are looking for someone to start in June.
You will be creative, pro-active and outgoing and look to build on their successful corporate partnership programme. This is an exciting role that combines new business and account management.
The charity would welcome applications from candidates with strong corporate fundraising or comparable experience who can maintain and develop existing relationships with corporate partners and proactively identify and secure new relationships.

The Role
Working with the Corporate Team to plan and implement strategies to maximise income and support from all agreed business partners.s
Manage corporate partnerships, and one-off corporate events, ensuring that all opportunities are maximised.
Proactively identifying, researching, prioritising and making effective approaches to corporate prospects.
Planning, designing and presenting compelling presentations and proposals for new business approaches and presentation
The Candidate
A track record in and clear understanding of new business fundraising, targeting and applying for partnerships in a systematic way.cess
Demonstrable work experience within a corporate fundraising or comparable role.
Target driven, commercially focused yet understands the not for profit sector.
Proven ability to work proactively identifying new contacts and opportunities for development.
Track record of identifying new prospects for funding through extensive research of business sectors
