This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wellbeing Advisor Assistant with experience of working within a children and young people, to work within a multi-disciplinary wellbeing advice services team to increase and improve emotional and mental health provision within local communities for 11–24-year-olds in the West London CCG area.

The Senior Wellbeing Adviser will be a part of our Youth Services team and will work to deliver mental health services for young people and the adults who support them. The Senior Wellbeing Adviser will co-ordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of wellbeing services including the provision of 1:1 practical wellbeing advice and support to young people (mainly aged 16-25), facilitation of peer support groups, delivery of workshops and trainings and co-ordinate awareness-raising campaigns on occasion.

This post will enable the post-holder to develop a wide range of project coordination and evaluation skills. The position will suit an individual who is self-motivated, an excellent communicator and data competent, with an interest in quality improvement, line management, an understanding of child development and mental health, as well as a passion to support services for children, young people and their families.

The post holder will also work alongside colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, educational settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide practical mental health focused short term casework to young people through 1:1 face to face appointments 
• To develop, co-ordinate and deliver workshops and training to groups of children and young people 
• To raise and escalate safeguarding concerns effectively with partners to ensure children and young people are effectively safeguarded
• Signpost referrals for children and young people with more complex needs to the relevant service. 
• Coordinate referrals and booking in sessions 
• Conduct regular line management with one Wellbeing Advisor working closely with them as a team. 
• To undertake data collection, analysis and monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of service provision 
• To produce impact reports and summaries, using IT and statistical programs  
• Routinely measure clinical outcomes, in line with the CYP-IAPT program.   
• Maintain comprehensive records of all training and clinical activity in line with both health and education service protocols and use these records and outcome data to inform decision-making.  
• Complete all requirements relating to data collection and report clinical outcomes and service access data into the digital patient record system, CYP IAPTUS.  
• To assist in the formulation and delivery low-intensity psychological treatments based on evidence-based literature and research to support best practice in clinical work. Interventions may include guided self-help, and treatment might be individual or in psychoeducational groups. This work includes delivery face to face, virtual and Telephone.  
• Engage in robust managerial and clinical supervision, identifying the scope of practice of the individual post-holder within the role, and working safely within that scope.   
• Attend multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings relating to referrals or children and young people in treatment, where appropriate, both for personal educational benefit in discussion with supervisors, and to provide direct assistance.   
• Work in collaboration with school staff, parents, children, young people, and the wider community to enhance and broaden access to mental health services.

Training & Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in Health/Social Care/teaching/ psychology or equivalent

Knowledge & Experience

• 3 years’ experience working with children and young people with mental health challenges 
• Experience in delivering 1:1 practical support sessions, group facilitation and producing and delivering presentations, workshops and training 
• Experience managing a complex case load
• 2 years’ experience project planning and management experience 
• Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding 
• Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality

To provide safety planning, support, advice and assistance to children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are staying in the refuge.

The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing support and facilitating safe space for children and young people and peer support networks in the refuge and supporting children and young people to keep safe in/maintain their refuge accommodation

The post-holder will work to empower and support children to make positive choices.

To establish resettlement services to support women and children to move on from refuge accommodation.

The post-holder work as part of the refuge team, with clients who live in the refuge after being referred via the Front Door Service.

To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours service on a rota basis.

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.

The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.

The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. The role will also support our involvement offer; ensuring carers are at the forefront of service change and service delivery.

Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator

Carers’ Hub works to improve carers’ lives in Lambeth through quality services and community engagement. We are an independent local charity, who work with carers aged five upwards. As the Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator you will:

SWAP is a charity providing support to asylum seekers and refugees living in the Wigan Borough.  We deliver a number of key services that include English classes, a Women’s Group and a case work service.  This post has 4 key functions:

1. Provide 1:1 advocacy and case work support to asylum seekers and refugees. 

2. By adopting an Outreach Model, make contact with people currently not accessing services, especially those living in outlying neighbourhoods.

3. Keep up to date on emerging needs and re-prioritise tasks accordingly.

4. Work in partnership with specialist support agencies to ensure asylum seekers and refugees receive services that address their needs.

The issues affecting asylum seekers and refugees are constantly evolving, and will require the worker to be adaptable, flexible and responsive.  For example, refugees are currently experiencing exceptionally high levels of homelessness, so this will be a current priority.  However, if homelessness reduces then project resources will be targeted elsewhere.  The post will operate from SWAP.s main base in Wigan, our Leigh Hub and community venues as directed by the needs of asylum seekers and refugees, including venues run by partner agencies.  The post is currently funded for two years.

Key duties and responsibilities

· Provide 1:1 case work support to asylum seekers and refugees living in the Wigan borough.

· Provide information to asylum seekers and refugees on issues affecting them (e.g. the asylum system, housing, asylum support, benefits, health and social care, education, employment and volunteering)

· Make contact with service users currently not engaging with support services, including those who face barriers to participation and those living in outlying neighbourhoods

· Help service users understand the options available to them and help them make informed decisions (e.g. Voluntary Returns, family re-union, working under the Skills Shortage List).

· To assess clients’ needs and devise appropriate support pathways

· Develop relationships with partner agencies and establish referral pathways (e.g. The Resettlement Team, Serco, The Brick)

· To kept abreast of current and emerging asylum and immigration policy

· Train, mentor and support volunteer

· To refer clients to other SWAP services and activities

· To assist in the delivery of training, educational and awareness raising programmes to local groups and organisations (e.g. schools, community groups, faith groups)

We have an exciting opportunity for Support Workers who are passionate, enthusiastic individuals to join our commissioned service that will deliver high quality activity sessions to children and young people aged 8-18 that have special education needs and disabilities.

This Support Worker role is based in Merseyside, it is 18.5 hours per week which involves evening, and weekend work during term time, with shifts transitioning to daytime hours during school holidays.

The Ideal candidate will need:

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities suitable for diverse age groups and abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities is desirable.

 Some of the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead activity sessions for children and young people, maintaining a high standard of service. You would need to liaise with parents as well as manage group bookings.  Be able to plan and deliver engaging activities suitable for the age range and needs of the participants.  Ensure all paperwork, including risk assessments, consent form and behaviour management plans are completed and kept up to date.

This service provides transport for some of the children and young people so it would be advantageous for the post holder to be able to drive as they may be required to drive a vehicle which facilitates group transport.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist clinical practitioner with a background in child and adolescent mental health to provide clinical oversight of 2 multi-disciplinary Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs).  These teams will increase and improve emotional and mental health provision within educational settings for 5–25-year-olds in the West London CCG area.  You will be working within a successful Trailblazer site, which emerged out of the government’s December 2017 plans: Transforming Children and Young People’s Mental Health Provision: a Green Paper.

Crucially, your overall responsibility will be to provide clinical oversight and operational management of the MHSTs, to ensure that children and young people are provided with timely, accountable, and effective services.

You will have a caseload of children and adolescents with mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties (number of cases will be dependant of capacity) and will use CBT and Systemic evidence-based models, employing the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies).  Early interventions will be delivered in a range of educational settings (primary, secondary, special, alternative provision and sixth form college) across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, as well as in parts of Westminster borough in the North West.  These will build upon the CCG’s and HF Mind’s whole school approach to mental health provision. 

The MHSTs which you will oversee will consists of a team of MHST clinical supervisors, schools practitioners, and Assistant Psychologist Clinical You will be responsible for managing and providing clinical supervision to senior team members,

You will also work closely with families, as well as colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, educational settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers.

• Ensure consistent standards of care across the MHSTs, minimising risk and instigating remedial action if necessary
• Oversee clinical interventions of the MHSTs, developing strategy and service development in partnership with senior team members
• Assess the clinical skills required to deliver a safe and high-quality service, identifying gaps and plans to address these issues
• Provide clinical supervision and case management to the senior members of MHSTs, whilst also overseeing coaching and mentoring for all members of the MHSTs
• Develop care and referral pathways that support improved care for children, young people and their families

Essential Criteria

• Degree from an accredited or recognised body to deliver evidence-based interventions for CYP and or parenting interventions / programmes
• A core profession (e.g., BACP, UKCP, HCP, NMC registration, Social Worker and OT) including registration with a professional body
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a Statutory CAMHS Tier 2 or 3 service, delivering assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families
• Several years of direct clinical experience (autonomously providing assessment, developing treatment plans and delivering a range of therapeutic interventions) with children and young people aged 5-18 with mental health difficulties
• Experience in managing a clinical multi-disciplinary mental health team and providing clinical supervision and case management
• Experience of routine clinical outcome monitoring 
• Experience of managing clinical risk assessment
• Knowledge of systemic, cognitive and psychodynamic theories and when each is appropriate
• Understanding of child development and psychosocial influences
• Highly developed knowledge of child and adult safeguarding 
• Experience engaging a range of stakeholders (young people, families, mental health providers, schools, Local Authority staff etc.) and involving service users throughout service planning and delivery

• Experience using Iaptus CYP data management system and reporting into NHS Digital’s Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS)
