OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the CEO and Senior Management Team. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to build on their business administration experience and take the next step in their career.

CONTRACT DETAILS
Location: Primarily remote with occasional working in London

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Support
- Act as liaison between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders, drafting communications and ensuring clear, timely information flow; supporting scheduling of meetings and tracking of actions and, with support from the CRM Manager, ensuring key contacts and relationship data are accurately and securely maintained on the organisation’s central database.
- Coordinate meetings and agendas with the CEO, Director of Finance and Operations, Chair of the Board, and Board sub-committees; manage papers and follow-up actions.
- Organise external meetings, including venue liaison, room bookings, and travel arrangements.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Management Team (SMT), including preparing reports, presentations, and other materials as required.
- Coordinate SMT and Programme Board meetings including compilation and circulation of agendas and supporting documents.
- Prepare regular status updates on project progress; maintain a record of agreed actions from meetings and liaise with team members to gather updates and ensure timely completion.
- Act as a point of contact between the Senior Management Team and working groups focused on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and Well-being.
Board Support & Impact Reporting
- Support board-level processes by coordinating meeting logistics; prepare, compile and circulate materials including agendas, minutes, reports, and presentations;.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings including tracking and reporting on Board decisions and action items, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
- Assist in developing and maintaining risk management and impact reporting frameworks and tools for the Trustee Board.
- Collect, analyse, and report on data related to AVUK’s strategic programme impact and outcomes.
Governance and Additional EA Support Duties
- Support the Director of Finance and Operations and Operations Manager to ensure AVUK’s legal obligations regarding governance, record-keeping and reporting requirements are maintained.
- Oversee office management and liaise with landlords at AVUK centres in London, Bicester, and flexible workspaces in Glasgow and Leeds.
- Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CEO or Senior Management Team, including planning and execution.
These responsibilities are not exhaustive and will be reviewed, in consultation with the post-holder, from time-to-time and amended in light of the changing needs of the charity and experience and development of the post-holder.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant in a similar role, or in direct organisational management.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrable discretion and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

- Familiarity with governance structures and impact reporting frameworks.

Finance Manager
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the growing Reaching Higher team and bring our finance function fully in-house. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who will play a pivotal role in ensuring strong financial systems, accurate reporting, and sound financial planning. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in financial management and governance, budgeting and forecasting, payroll and pension oversight, and the ability to provide clear strategic insight and analysis to support organisational growth and sustainability.
Purpose of this Role
Our finance functions are currently partially outsourced to an external contractor. Our income has grown significantly over the past five years and our Board have now decided to employ a Finance Manager and bring financial expertise in-house. In this new position as the Finance Manager at Reaching Higher, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and planning, payroll and pension management, and financial governance and compliance. You will support all aspects of Reaching Higher’s work and development through ensuring strong financial systems.
You will work closely with our team to ensure that all day-to-day finance requirements are met, including accurate grant finance monitoring and reporting to multiple funders. You will also work closely with our senior leaders and board to build the charity’s financial resilience and the financial awareness of our wider team.
You will work closely with the Executive Assistant & Administrator and report to the Executive Director, as well as working closely with the Executive Team, Treasurer and wider Board.

Reaching Higher is a youth organisation which works with over 2000 young people aged 9-21 each year across Croydon and surrounding boroughs. Developed in partnership with local churches, we are a youth-led charity with a Christian ethos and this role is restricted under basis of faith.We have a particular emphasis on providing mentoring support to young people and supporting their development as leaders. As the Personal Assistant to the CEO, you’ll be at the heart of strategic engine. You’ll manage a fast-paced, high-profile workload, ensuring the CEO is fully supported to balance competing priorities and lead effectively.
Acting as the first point of contact for the CEO’s office, you will triage requests, ensuring professional and timely communications with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will cultivate professional relationships both internally and externally, leveraging these to prepare and coordinate high-quality briefings for to ensure the CEO is well prepared in advance of meetings and engagements.
Maintaining systems and processes to keep the CEO’s office running efficiently will be central to the role and you will oversee logistics for the CEO’s travel, events and projects, ensuring seamless execution.
This role sits within the Governance & CEO Office. This small but agile team provides high-level support to the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees. You will join the team who ensure the CEO’s office runs smoothly and strategically, enabling both the CEO and the Board to focus on delivering our ambitious vision.
The role is predominantly office based, with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.Due to the nature of the charity’s work, you will be required to complete a full DBS check upon appointment.

This role sits across two key departments within the Communications and Fundraising Directorate —Strategic Partnerships, which drives transformational partnerships to achieve our mission and Performance & Insight, which ensures our work across fundraising and campaigning is insight-led, data-driven, and delivering maximum impact.
About the role
As our PA to the Directors of Strategic Partnerships and Performance & Insight you will play a proactive and central role in enabling effective leadership and operational delivery across two high-impact departments and work closely with both Directors, senior stakeholders, project teams, and administrative colleagues to drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Proactively provide executive support to both Directors, anticipating needs, and managing diaries and preparing high-quality materials for internal and external engagement.
- Coordinate departmental and leadership meetings, ensuring agendas, logistics and follow-up actions are delivered efficiently and reported to key stakeholders including Board and Committee members.
- Support the delivery of strategic initiatives and transformation projects, maintaining oversight of priorities, deadlines, and departmental records, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead internal communications planning and collaboration across SP and PID, managing SharePoint sites, induction programmes, and collaborating with other PAs to align processes and share best practices across the organisation.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Significant experience as a PA or high-level administrator in a complex organisational setting, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting high-quality briefing papers, presentations, and correspondence on behalf of senior leaders.
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience in the charity or international development sector.
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
- Understanding of data protection principles and experience managing intranet content.

The Role
An experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant is sought to provide proactive support to three members of the senior Leadership Team. The Candidate
The successful candidate will bring prior experience in a Personal Assistant role supporting multiple senior leaders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside excellent attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential matters, are essential.
You will be confident using Microsoft Office, diary and inbox management tools, and supporting hybrid meetings via platforms such as Zoom or Teams. The ability to work independently, use initiative, and demonstrate sound judgement is key. Executive and Finance Officer
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Executive and Finance Officer to play a vital role in the operations of Centre for Mental Health.
This varied and interesting role supports our CEO and Board, managing day-to-day operations and taking on key finance and HR responsibilities. This will include financial support: reconciling accounts, processing invoices, supporting our Board by organising meetings and helping with many aspects of recruitment, onboarding and assisting our staff team. Borders Forest Trust (BFT) are recruiting for a new Chief Executive .
BFT is a charity established to restore native woodland habitats to Southern Scotland, an area with the lowest percentage of native woodlands in mainland Scotland. Since 1996, we have been working towards planting trees, restoring peatlands and other natural habitats, enriching the biological diversity of around 31 sq km in the Southern Uplands. They demonstrate large scale ecological restoration in action, and inspire landowners, statutory bodies, local communities and policy makers to embrace this alternative model for land use and conservation.
The charity’s previous Director has led the organisation for five years, and BFT are in a strong position, ready to develop a new organisational strategy and grow. This is a role of great strategic importance to the charity and the role is varied, with a broad remit.
The Chief Executive role has organisational responsibility for 12 members of staff, some office based but most out and about across the countryside in which BFT works.
As Chief Executive, you’ll bring proven senior leadership experience and the ability to get the best from staff and volunteers. A natural communicator, you’ll engage confidently with a wide range of people – from volunteers and donors to policymakers and conservation experts.
You’ll have experience generating significant income in the not-for-profit sector, alongside strengths in strategic planning and programme development.
