As our Director of Service Transformation, you will lead the exciting next phase of transforming our charity’s services to reach more disabled children, young people and their families. You will be responsible for sourcing and delivering contracts and partnerships essential for the charity’s sustainability by advancing our digital outreach and nurturing new partnerships and securing sustainable funds for innovative models of support. 

What you will be doing as the Director of Service Transformation:

• Lead and execute services strategies and plans that extend and transform the impact and financial sustainability of the charity’s services and support for disabled children, young people and their families. 
• Lead the design, development and sales of innovative new service models and the scaling of existing services.
• Work closely with the other executive directors and leadership team to achieve the generation of an annual financial surplus to reinvest in Kids. 
• Ensure the quality and safe delivery of all Kids’ services. 
• Ensure effective budget management underpins service development and delivery.  Ensure contracts and tenders are commercially negotiated and regularly monitored. Work with colleagues to identify and achieve necessary margins on contracts and projects for financial sustainability. 
• Inspire and lead a high performing services team; support colleagues to test, learn and adapt as the charity evolves and transforms its digital and in-person support offer.
• Be an inspiring, visible and collegiate leader and team player who works across team boundaries to help drive organisational change and nurture colleagues’ ability to perform at their best. 
• Model and lead effective communications with all colleagues that bring to life the charity’s values and behaviours. Support colleagues to ensure Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles and practice are evidenced in service design and delivery. 
• Act as an ambassador for Kids on key platforms, carrying out media work as required; promote the charity’s products, services and work; and draw from services expertise to influence public policy and legislation relevant to disabled children and their families.

Key Tasks

• Working with the Communications Officer to create content for websites, digital platforms, social media, email campaigns and other channels. This includes the Trust’s Inside King’s magazine as well as our own channels. It could involve interviewing staff, patients and volunteers, creating films, taking photographs.
• Organising, distributing and updating the Charity’s marketing materials around the Trust, including posters, leaflets and banners.
• Helping to maintain the Charity’s social media presence, creating and scheduling engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, producing analytics reports and using insights to inform future strategy.
• Developing our use of Sharepoint as an internal communications channel, and maintaining the Charity’s presence on the King’s staff intranet.
• Helping the Communications Officer keep our website fresh and engaging, identifying key user journeys and supporting colleagues across the charity to use the website to achieve business goals.
• Acting as a champion for the Charity’s work by attending regular events and assist in delivering internal engagement opportunities, such as fundraising events, celebrations, and so on.
• Generating reports on the team’s KPIs across all digital platforms, helping to improve user journeys across our digital platforms.

Person Specification

About the opportunity
As our Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Manager and broader team in volunteer and school recruitment efforts, while managing our social media presence. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and curating content for Action Tutoring's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok.

Duties and responsibilities
• Responsibility for managing Action Tutoring’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube). The post holder will help to champion and manage the PAPYRUS brand and support the delivery of our projects and services through developing engaging and targeted content. They will act as the day-to-day lead on our social media planning and scheduling, as well as blog writing and storytelling.

What you will do:

Lead on the PAPYRUS social media planning and scheduling, utilising a social media management suite such as Hootsuite, or similar.

About the Youth Endowment Fund 

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. 

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. 

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.

This role and why it’s important 

It's critical to our mission that we understand how and why young people become involved in violence. The YEF’s work combines conducting rigorous evaluations and research studies with hearing directly from young people. It is also important to us that young people are central to the messages we share externally.

Your role involves ensuring that young people’s perspectives are heard and integrated into our work. This includes supporting our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) and helping young people’s voices play a central part in YEFs external communications.

This role also supports the wider team managing grants, contracts and providing general team support.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan engaging activities for YAB meetings and events. These activities require working some evenings and occasional weekends. 

• Provide support and pastoral care to YAB members, including personal development planning and safeguarding.

• Help recruit YAB members (young people aged 16 –25) through interviews and managing recruitment. 

• Develop and schedule the YAB induction programme for new members. 

• Monitor attendance and engagement of YAB members. 

• Coordinate YAB attendance at external events. 

2. Facilitating Youth Voice in communications: 

• Act as a bridge between the YAB and our external communications team. 

• Work with the communications team to amplify young people's voices on social media. 

• Assist young people in sharing their views and stories through various communication methods.

Experience of delivering pro-active PR campaigns with an excellent understanding of the media and experience of managing external PR agencies. You will be a highly proficient writer with the ability to direct and manage projects with multiple stakeholder involvement..

· Develop and lead a national PR strategy for Sue Ryder, with the aim of supporting income generation and increasing public understanding of the charity and measured against KPIs

· Manage and lead a responsive and pro-active national PR team which operates an out of hours service

We are looking for a Governance Administrator to provide administrative support to the Governance and Compliance team to ensure we are governed to exemplary standards. The Governance Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to our complaint, disciplinary and safeguarding processes and procedures.  The successful candidate will develop and deliver administrative support to the wider team such as through servicing meetings, creating action logs and maintaining records.

This is a part time (0.6FTE) and permanent role.

The role of Bid-Writer / Fundraising Officer is an exiting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding Christian Charity. The post serves to secure new funding, expand donations, maintain current levels of funding, and assist with raising the profile of the King’s Arms Project. Kings Arms Project is a well-respected Charity with a growing reputation for high quality service delivery.

We have a wide network of existing funders with a long history of supporting our work. Building on our reputation we have been able to add new funders to our portfolio, attracted by the high-quality services we provide.

This role will suit someone with experience of fundraising or someone wanting to move into a fundraising role. An ability to be passionate about our work and to communicate clearly and convincingly is key. Hybrid-working considered.

This role will work closely with the Head of Support Services supporting our volunteers and wider community through a range of services and events. 

You’ll work with our incredible volunteers to support others living with conditions and raise awareness and understanding of our work.  You will recruit and support people to engage in volunteering in the way that best suits them.

Alongside this you will undertake administrative work to ensure the smooth running of Support Services, and deliver our flagship in person events. 

You will report directly to the CEO and work closely day to day with the Head of Support Services. It’s an exciting role which offers the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills in a supportive, can-do, values led organization.

Role Description

Volunteers

o Working with the CEO and Head of Support Services develop and deliver the Volunteering Strategy for the organisation.

o Work to significantly increase the inclusivity of volunteers and the work done by volunteers.

o Oversee the recruitment of volunteers and ensure appropriate induction in collaboration with relevant staff.

o Deliver mandatory initial and ongoing training for volunteers.

o Working with colleagues, produce and keep up-to-date policies, processes and forms, ensuring volunteers understand and use these resources.

o Provide day-to-day support to volunteers, working closely with the Head of Support Services.

o Manage all volunteer programme communications in collaboration with the Communications Officer including: ebulletins, website, social media and print materials.

o Collect and process feedback and statistics and compile reports on satisfaction and effectiveness as required.

o Provide specific support for volunteering roles including;

Helpline and Telephone Buddies

o Support the transition of the helpline to a new scheme such as our telephone buddy scheme

o Support and review the telephone buddy scheme

o In conjunction with the Head of Support Services, support the implementation and ongoing management of a new Facebook support group

o Collate statistics on helpline calls and report on this monthly.

Local Support Groups

o Support the establishment of online condition specific and new regional groups.

o Undertake visits to Local Support Groups as appropriate.

o Working with the Finance and Operations Manager support the groups to use funds they have raised.

Other Volunteers

o Support Office volunteers in their day to day work, being the first point of contact and allocating tasks.

o Working with the Head of Support Services contribute to the development of the Lived Experience Committee.

o Working with the Head of Fundraising support and engage Ambassador and Fundraising volunteers.

Support Service Coordination

o Ensure the CRM system is up to date with all Support Services information.

o Ensure all statistics relating to Support Services are up to date.

o Ensure Support Services’ phone systems and booked calls are effectively and efficiently set up.

o Ensure accurate record of all research and surveys we are asked to engage in and follow up on outcomes of that research.

o Undertake any small administrative duties as required.

o Where required, provide support in managing the helpline emails.

Support Services Events

o Lead on the development and delivery of three one day conference style events annually.  These will be held throughout the UK and will offer panel discussions and networking for our community. 

o In partnership with the wider team, occasionally represent The Foundation by running information stands, coordinating volunteers and preparing information for external events such as industry conferences.

o Where appropriate attend and present at external meetings.

o Support the management and delivery of the portfolio of online and in person events delivered by the Pituitary Foundation in conjunction with the wider team.

The Meridian One Community Garden serves as a space where we focus on cultivating fruit, salad, and vegetable produce. We involve the local community by hosting weekly volunteer gardening sessions, welcoming school visits, and organising various community events.

TCV is seeking a Senior Project Officer with expertise in community engagement, event coordination, and managing community facilities. The garden, which was established one year ago, encompasses facilities such as an office, a community meeting/education room, toilets, and a spacious polytunnel.

The Senior Project Officer will oversee a range of tasks including planning and executing community events, maintaining site Health & Safety, leading volunteers in practical projects like building wooden planters, tending to garden plants, and ensuring timely completion of administrative duties such as procurement, risk assessments, social media updates, and task reporting. They will also lead activities for the under 5’s Nature Explorers group, school visits, themed evening events, and family weekends. Additionally, they'll organise corporate volunteering sessions and cover holiday shifts for the Green Gym gardening program. Previous events have included 'Pampering and Enrichment,' 'Repurpose, Recycle, Reinvent' workshops, and a Black Women in Conservation and Horticulture photo exhibition, as well as our weekend family events featuring free food, music, and arts and crafts activities.

This role involves being friendly and open to various people who visit, from the toddlers attending the Nature Explorers club, to our volunteer gardeners, to senior staff from the local authority. There are two other people working part-time at the garden, and TCV provides thorough training and support from a helpful local team.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of gardening and/or nature conservation. However, what’s equally important is that the Senior Project Officer has initiative, is welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide range people. We’d therefore welcome applications from candidates who can display those personable qualities, with perhaps experience of working in a community centre setting.

In Spring 2024, TCV will be taking on the management of an additional nearby meanwhile space. The new Senior Project Officer will join us at an exciting time when we begin to turn that space into a new community tree nursery. Working with local people to gather seeds from significant trees in the surrounding area, we aim to grow saplings which will go on to be distributed for planting around London.

Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role the Senior Project Officer will need to work from the garden during these times. Occasionally, to avoid lone working in the absence of another colleague, there will be the opportunity to work from home. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. This post holder would be expected to attend those evening and weekend events.

We are seeking a full time experienced administrative officer to support our Best Years Hub.  This role will act as the first point of contact for all services users and volunteers who are referred to the hub. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a similar role, good administrative skills, a pleasant and helpful telephone manner, good attention to details and experience of using all Microsoft packages, WordPress, Canva and all social media platforms.

About the role

Medact’s Movement Organiser will work alongside our Campaign Leads and Head of Movement Building to grow our movement, developing groups of healthcare workers into confident campaigners who can make a visible difference in the struggle for health justice and peace. The successful candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time with one of our campaigners, and 20% participating in cross-organisational work. The ideal candidate will have an interest in, or experience of organising or campaigning around, issues related to economic justice or the climate crisis. 

About you

This is a skilled role, but you don’t need to have worked for an NGO or be a professional organiser to be right for it. You might have organised in your workplace or local community to take action on issues that you care about. Or, you might be a health worker who has seen the impact of injustices such as a poor environment, immigration or counter-terror policies,  low income or precarious housing on your patients, and wants to challenge decision-makers and hold them to account. 

You’ll have a strong understanding of power and how to work with others to create pressure for change. You need to be a great communicator, able to build trusting relationships with Medact members, partner organisations and community groups. You’ll have an understanding of how digital communications compliment organising and campaigning. Upskilling and empowering our movement is a fundamental part of this role, so you’ll need the ability to deliver training and workshops through an anti-oppressive lens.
