Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily financial operations, including processing transactions, managing payroll, and handling expenses for staff and volunteers.

- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure alignment of financial procedures and support the Finance Director in strategic financial planning.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in financial operations, preferably within a charity or NGO setting.
- Preferably progressing towards/has recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW)
- Understanding of UK financial regulations and tax laws, with specific knowledge of VAT and GiftAid advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.

Background
Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence is a company Limited by Guarantee which is registered with the Charity Commission (Registered Number 1077863). The registered aims of the Charity are:
• to help relieve the suffering and distress of persons who have been raped or
sexually abused; and
• to advance the education of the public in the subject of rape and sexual
abuse and their effects.
The registered activities are:
• to promote the recovery of any adult or young person of any gender who has
experienced rape or sexual abuse at any point in their life; and
• to offer one to one counselling, phone support, forensic medicals following
recent incidents, with or without police involvement, young people's service,
trust & support through court and criminal proceedings.
Purpose of the Job
The role is to provide a high quality, specialist service to victims of sexual violence including provision of one to one therapy for clients aged between 0 and 18. The role includes provision of therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire who have been referred to the Therapy Service either through self-referral, or other external pathways.
To work within a multi-agency setting to provide an empathetic and pro-active support service to victims of historical sexual violence aged 0-17 and their families, within and outside of the criminal justice system, including pre-trial therapy.
This role is part of the Therapy Service which comprises of a team of Adult and Children’s Therapists offering counselling, therapy, support groups, parent support sessions and other therapeutic interventions to victims of sexual violence and secondary survivors.
Accountability
The Childrens Therapist will be line managed by The Therapy Delivery Manager. The post is part of a wider team at SV2 delivering a range of support services to victims of sexual violence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
General
- Deliver appropriate individual face to face or phone/online therapeutic services to victims (aged 0-18) of historical sexual violence or abuse at any point in their lives.
· To provide specialist counselling assessments and one to one therapy in line with the specific funded project
· To work with the whole SV2 therapy team to ensure smooth transition of client referrals into the service
· Maintain current and accurate records of clients and client interactions, and provide reports and information on clinical practice as required, in line with BACP guidelines, SV2 policies and Data Protection Act using agreed frameworks
· To contribute towards the Clinical Governance process within the service
· Undertake CPD as identified in annual appraisal and line management processes
· To support members of the team and sub-contracted therapists to deliver support groups to clients
· To offer ad hoc psychoeducational support sessions to the parent/carers of children receiving therapy within the Therapy Service
· To support the Therapy Delivery Manager by taking an active role in the Student Counsellor Placement Scheme including promotion, interviews, induction, mentoring and offering ongoing support to student placements and volunteers
· To work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Agency’s policies and procedures
- Monitor and record progress and outcomes for clients utilising SV2’s case management system, client support plan and other systems, as required
- Monitor, maintain, plan and prioritise own work and client caseload
- Liaise with other relevant external agencies in relation to the support of their clients
- Respond to safeguarding issues and liaise with staff in accordance with SV2’s safeguarding policies
- Provide information and reports for managers, as required
Professional
- To support and liaise closely with practitioners and professionals in SV2 and other external organisations
- Develop and maintain knowledge and skills relevant to this area of work which meets the needs of the Organisation, client group and sexual offences legislation
- Maintain confidentiality in line with SV2’s information governance policies
- Adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics adopted by SV2
Communication and Public Relations
- Raise awareness of services in line withSupporting Victims of Sexual Violence ’s Communications Strategy
- Ensure communication between agencies is effective

Other duties
- Work within Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence Health & Safety Policy and take responsibility for personal Health & Safety
- Attend regular line management, clinical supervision, peer supervision, appraisal meetings and team meetings, as required

Shelter North East has been based in Newcastle for over 25 years and we provide advice across 12 local authorities We have an advice team, a legal team, support services which are made up of a Housing First project, along with a DIYSA service and hub administrators. Shelter Sheffield provide housing advice and support to people across the city with a focus on emergency homelessness, intensive support for children and families, people experiencing domestic abuse and people with multiple and complex needs. As a Lived Experience Coordinator, you’ll deliver a programme of involvement activities with the aim of ensuring the views and experiences of individuals with lived experience of bad housing or homelessness informs all of Shelter’s work. We’ll also rely on you to deliver involvement activities across the organisation which will shape the ongoing design, delivery and governance of our work. People with lived experience will be involved in a range of ways too, including involvement groups, taking part in events within local communities, co-designing services and campaigns, sharing stories and speaking out about the housing emergency. The overriding aim is to work closely alongside people with lived experience to influence and steer the direction of Shelter’s work, so that lived experience informs everything we do.

About you
To succeed, you’ll need the ability to facilitate involvement groups and other activities to involve people with lived experience in Shelter’s work while ensuring a safe and inclusive space where everybody can contribute. The ability to plan and co-ordinate involvement activities with local teams, with several activities running during the same time period, is important too, as is a flair for developing successful relationships with colleagues across a large organisation, as well as with local organisations and partners. Some experience of presenting information verbally and in writing is also required, as is proficiency using IT tools to carry out your day-to-day work, including case management systems, Microsoft Office, internet, email and online meetings.
