Hours: 5 days per week (4 considered), 9.30am – 5.30pm, with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations.

Person Specification 

• An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo, and a demonstrated commitment to social impact and our mission to play a meaningful part in the repair of our social fabric
• Strong strategic thinking and business and financial acumen – experience in a management consulting or financial management role is essential
• Self-motivated forward planner with the ability to navigate complex fast-moving environments, adapt to changing circumstances, and exercise initiative, with a track record of driving growth and achieving results
• Financially literate, with experience overseeing strategic financial processes, e.g., budgeting, financial management and resource allocation
• Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. An awareness of charity regulatory and compliance requirements is beneficial
• Strong proven leadership skills and the ability to relate confidently to a range of audiences
• Relational team player with high emotional intelligence, a sense of humour and fun, and the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams

Key Responsibilities
 

Strategy Development and Implementation

• Leading the organisation through the iterative development and implementation of strategic projects to serve the ambition of Resurgo, to “inspire and equip organisations to deliver ambitious and sustainable social change”
• Provide direction and support to Heads of Department, setting them up to succeed in the implementation of ambitious plans
• Line management of the Strategy Managaer, who project manages and drives the delivery of annual departmental targets and strategic projects across the organisation.

Finance

• Line management of Head of Finance, providing strategic leadership in the development of the finance function and oversight of organisational financial management
• Lead the annual planning process, working with the Head of Finance and Director of People, Culture & Operations to shape and deliver annual financial planning

Oversight of Governance, Risk and Opportunity

• Executive Chair of the Strategy, Finance and Risk steering group, owning the most significant risks and opportunities facing Resurgo at an organisational level, ensuring actions are taken to mitigate risks and that we are set up to maximise opportunity
• Responsible for overseeing governance structures and ensuring they are fit for purpose as the organisation develops and grows
• Supporting the Executive Assistant to the CEO in the facilitation of the effective running of the Boards of Resurgo Trust and Resurgo Consulting, including planning and overseeing Board and key Steering Group meetings.

Active Participation in and Support for Resurgo’s team and mission

• Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member, including leading and contributing to daily team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission

We're looking for someone with experience of verging or similar church support work. Good social skills are essential as is the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own inititiave.  The ability to work closely with and relate well to all Cathedral staff, ministry team, congregation, volunteers, visitors, and members of the general public will also be required. 

The two Assistant Vergers and Precinct Officers (AVPOs) carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the Head Verger and Precinct Manager.  Work includes: the careful setting up and delivery of all liturgical matters; ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all working in, visiting, or using the Cathedral and Cathedral House and precinct and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the Cathedral for all.

Essential experience and skills

• Sympathy with the Christian faith.
• At least one year’s experience as a church or cathedral verger or in a similar role.
• A flexible attitude and willingness to take on a range of duties including practical ‘hands- on’ work.
• Attention to detail and an ability to assess priorities including when under pressure.
• Understanding of liturgy or willingness to learn.
• Ability to be a good team player and work collaboratively with Ministry Team, staff and volunteers.
• Willing to work alone.
• Good administrative and IT skills.
• Good understanding of the importance of security, maintenance and health and safety.
• Good social and communication skills.
• Have an open and welcoming attitude to all including volunteers and members of the general public.
• A trained First Aider (or willing to be trained upon appointment to an appropriate level).·

The team

Business Energy Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government to provide free, impartial support and access to funding to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) save energy, carbon and money. As Scottish businesses try to overcome the twin challenges of high energy prices and playing their part in reducing carbon emissions, our work is more important than ever.

The role     

• You will be the first point of contact for SMEs contacting Business Energy Scotland so your work will be vital in helping them start their energy saving process. After your initial contact with the business, you will forward enquiries to other members of the Business Energy Scotland team who will provide in-depth technical support.

• You will provide administrative support across all aspects of the service to ensure that programme outputs are delivered effectively and efficiently.

• Answer initial telephone, online and email enquiries from businesses. Response templates will be available, and you will take note of key information.

• Provide administrative support by recording key information on a range of IT systems.

• After you receive an initial enquiry, you will hand over the case to another member of the Business Energy Scotland team who will organise further technical support for the business.

3. Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
4. Assist the Head of Income Generation and Marketing with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations, documents, briefing papers, action points and reports as requested and to track work across all relevant departments to ensure the nominated Manager undertakes action within the agreed timeframe.
5. Provide administrative support to Head of Income Generation and Marketing in preparing and drafting correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required by the Head of Income Generation and Marketing.
6. Be the gatekeeper and first point of contact to stakeholders, assessing priorities, redirecting calls, enquiries, and face to face meeting appointments.

We are seeking a Facilities & Events Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of our events and facilities hire at our historic Richmond site. It’s an exciting time to join the team, as we continue to further develop our visitor experience and facilities hire offer.

The Facilities & Events Assistant will be the first port of call for enquiries, and will provide excellent customer service and front desk support to our customers. You’ll be responsible for organising the staff and volunteer rota, and ensuring that all the logistics are in place for a smooth customer experience.

You’ll be involved in donation processing, and maintaining records in our supporter database. The role will also have the opportunity for involvement in high profile events such as the Field of Remembrance and VIP/Royal visits.

This position is ideally suited to someone who thrives on a high degree of autonomy, enjoys a varied role with the opportunity to think creatively to solve challenges, and can flex their pinpoint attention to detail in our events and facilities hire operations.

About The Poppy Factory

The Poppy Factory’ mission is to support veterans with health conditions on their journey into employment and to continue supporting them whatever challenges they may face.

Founded in 1922, the charity moved to Richmond in 1926, along with many wounded, injured and sick veterans of the First World War. They were employed to produce Remembrance wreaths and products for the Royal Family and The Royal British Legion, and this work continues at the factory today.

As a key member of the fundraising team, you will handle inbound contacts with potential and existing supporters over multiple channels, delivering an exceptional quality of service to queries related to our new products and services including retail. And you’ll help to improve the supporter experience by identifying and helping to resolve issues in the supporter journey, particularly those relating to our website. With previous experience in a busy office environment, your experience will include:

Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond rapidly and work flexibly to reach people. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those offering immigration support.

Thames Reach welcomes applications from people with transferable skills.

You will:

• Complete outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping across four districts (Mole Valley district council, Tandridge district council, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, Reigate and Banstead borough council).

• Support our clients with practical tasks that will enable them to move off of the streets or sustain accommodation. 

• Directly support clients, identifying activities that will assist in their journey towards recovery and away from life on the streets. 

• Maintain and support links with community programs and resources.

• Ensure that all paperwork is completed and work is recorded and monitored. 

To succeed as the Assistant Support Worker you will have:
