Due to the formation of the new Wales Fundraising Board, an exciting new role has been created to help deliver a portfolio of corporate partnerships and events, to identify and secure new corporate partnerships and support the work of the wider UK team. The postholder will need to ideally be within or close to South Wales as regular contact with prospects and partners will be required.
As Corporate Partnerships Manager – Wales, you will be supported by the Supporter Fundraising Manager (your line manager), and work alongside a Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and Senior Philanthropy Manager. You will manage a varied and exciting portfolio of new and longstanding partners across Wales (focused primarily on South Wales) and identify, develop and win new corporate support through Charity of the Year, events, commercial and strategic opportunities.
As Corporate Partnerships Manager – Wales, you will:
- Support the corporate fundraising team in your region conveying regional expertise and corporate partnerships knowledge to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaboratively work towards a corporate partnership team target of c.£200k
- Develop a fully researched and engaged prospect pipeline of five and six figure future corporate supporters
- Play a key role in maximising income for the NSPCC from existing commercial partnerships and relationships and ensuring the highest standard of proactive support and development
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience of account/partnership management or new business within the third or commercial sector
- Success in developing and securing relationships to achieve results within a fundraising, sales or marketing environment
- Ability to deliver results as set out in a team or departmental plan
- An outgoing, confident individual, who can work on their own initiative and is achievement and results orientated
- You may come from Events, Community or a similar type of relationship management role

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the National Theatre Development Team.
The purpose of the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for delivering, renewing and evolving new and existing high-value, long-term corporate partnerships. They will work with the Senior Corporate Account Manager to support the team in delivering best-in-class account management. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will also support with new business and revenue generation through securing additional income.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a variety of corporate accounts and have a good understanding of the partnerships landscape and stakeholder management. The candidate will be a creative problem solver, with exemplary relationship building and customer service skills. The role will be focussed on both account management and new business. The candidate will have an ambitious approach to generating revenue through income growth opportunities and new business both with existing accounts and new prospects for the National Theatre.
The successful candidate will have the following:

Proven track record of securing income and managing partnerships/sponsorships, possibly gained within a target driven environment.

Experience of negotiating bespoke partnership deals and benefit packages and composing commercial participator agreements or similar legal contracts.

We’re looking for a Challenge Events Manager to join our Sports and Challenge Events Team managing an innovative and evolving portfolio of mass participation events, including the mighty London Marathon.

About this role:
This is a new and exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Fundraiser to join the Charity team here at Alder Hey, the UK’s busiest Children’s Hospital.
We’re looking for someone who loves building relationships and is passionate about high value fundraising. You will have relevant charity fundraising experience with exceptional writing skills to create compelling applications and proposals for funding. In this role you will have a mixed portfolio of high value trusts, grantmakers and major donors, to support the implementation of the Philanthropy strategy to reach new audiences and increase sustainable income growth. Key Responsibilities will include:
· Manage a diverse portfolio of existing and new major donors and funders, delivering excellence in relationship management to meet an individual fundraising target.
· Build, manage and maintain a full and consistent pipeline of prospects, ensuring timely progression through each stage from identification to stewardship.
· Frequent and regular contact with donors and funders by phone, video and in person.
· Identification, qualification and research of philanthropy prospects, both new and from other income streams.
· Work with colleagues and clinicians in the development of engaging and bespoke proposals.
· Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
· Be a charity specialist in relationship management and maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice.
· Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of trends and developments in the sector, through completing relevant training, reviewing relevant press and publications and keeping up to date with industry news.
· Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s work, priorities and future plans, and represent the Charity at functions and events, to promote the objectives of the Charity.
· Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
· Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.
The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2024. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. The trial is monitoring the benefits of a four-day working week against productivity. We are confident that by embracing a more flexible and balanced approach to work, we can continue to create a thriving and fulfilling work environment while driving growth and success for our charity. A decision will be made before the 30th September 2024 to agree the next steps, based on an assessment of the trial period; the four day working week trial may be ended, extended or adopted permanently.

The conferences and special events manager is responsible for the leadership, relationship management, creative development and delivery of the charity wide events portfolio. This includes internal and external conferences, income generation and stewardship events.
Your will lead a team and work closely with senior stakeholders, internally and externally, to deliver high quality and high value events, such as gala dinners, professional stakeholder engagement events, virtual events and a golf day. The role will manage all aspects of events from concept to completion.

Context and Responsibilities within this role:
During 2023 a significant body of work was undertaken to prepare for the commencement of the campaign in 2024, including soliciting a lead gift, preparing a strong case for support and preparing various projects for funding. Furthermore, OTW have begun cultivating relationships with prospective major donors; gaining the support of local politicians and businesses; paving the way for local community partnerships; etc, to facilitate the initial two phases of the campaign. The next steps are to set up a regional Development Board and begin to plan the approaches for major giving and alumni of the school site.
With support from the Capital Trusts Manager (writing proposals for grant-based funding), and the Individual Giving & Philanthropy Manager, the Capital Fundraising Campaign Manager will bring together this project and manage its progress towards agreed goals and timescales.
