Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) is seeking an experienced and visionary academic leader to become the inaugural Director of the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium UK (ROC-UK). In Spring 2028, the National Gallery will launch a new, public-facing Research Centre to facilitate and showcase our world-leading research in the history, display, conservation, and science of painting. This will be a complex space sitting at the intersection of multiple valued research stakeholders both within and beyond the Gallery, including the Gallery’s own wide array of research-active staff, our Artists-in-Residence, specialist users of our extensive Library & Archive collections, and a research-engaged general public attending events and consulting materials.

We are now recruiting for a new role, a Research Centre Manager, to support in the planning and daily delivery of an exceptional experience at the Research Centre. The role-holder will provide vital clarity and consistency in the day-to-day running of this multifaceted space to ensure a smoothly functioning whole, including coordinating all aspects of the Research Centre operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the Research Centre facilities and administration.

Cure Parkinson's Research Engagement Manager is responsible for ensuring that the lived experience and perspective of people with Parkinson’s (PwP) is embedded across our research activities. Campaign for Better Transport is the leading national charity championing the need for integrated, sustainable and affordable transport. This role will play a significant part in our Policy and Research team and will be responsible for developing and evidencing our policy work to underpin our campaigning, influencing and communications.

The successful candidate will have experience in policy research, a good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research, the ability to develop and utilise appropriate research methods and excellent data analysis skills. They will also have an understanding of Westminster, national, regional and local policy development and delivery processes.

We are open to levels of seniority between officer and manager level, and will appoint the most suitable person to the post, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Research 
  • Managing and working on research projects that utilise both quantitative and qualitative methods, including drafting and analysing surveys, statistical data analysis, and organising and leading focus groups and expert workshops

About the Department/Role

Data Services is part of the Central Services of the Church of England, providing statistical information, analysis, research and consultancy.  The team works collaboratively with the NCIs, dioceses and parishes collecting and assembling data to support the Church’s missional, pastoral and operational activities through high-quality information and analysis.   This is used locally, at parish, diocesan and national levels, involving the Team in a wide range of customer contacts and interfaces

The Data Services Team works to promote data collection that is efficient and effective, producing high-quality services and deliverables geared to a varied range of customer needs.  Within the Team, the Data and Analysis unit leads on carrying out data collection and analysis and establishing best practice for research and use of data. It acts as the professional centre of excellence to inform and assist operational and development work within the Team, the NCIs, and the wider Church of England.

What you'll be doing
The purpose of this role is to support the mission of the Church of England by ensuring that high quality data are collected, made available, and appropriately used in decision-making at local, regional, and national level.  This analyst role also carries an emphasis on supporting the Church of England to achieve net zero carbon by 2030.  50% of the role will support the Net Zero programme by running the Energy Footprint tool, working with Dioceses and Churches to collect energy data, analysing the resulting dataset and reporting to assist with tracking the important progress of this work. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Working with data received from churches, parishes, dioceses, and cathedrals to ensure best possible quality in terms of consistency, timeliness and accuracy, including undertaking an appropriate share of routine validation and processing.
• Analysing data, and preparing reports for publication of statistics relating to church attendance, parish finances, ministry, cathedrals, parish census and deprivation, and other agreed Business as Usual (BAU) deliverables.
• Overseeing the Energy Footprint Tool, including leading on question design, data analysis, and reporting
•  Responding to queries regarding the Energy Footprint Tool from diocesan colleagues
•  Producing analysis and reports to aid Net Zero decision making
• Working with key stakeholders to review and improve data collection processes and ensuring these are accurately documented, tested and implemented.
• Providing professional expertise and support to colleagues leading other work within the Data Services Team.
• Providing analysis, insight and statistical advice in response to NCIs’, Synodical, Parliamentary and official enquiries and working parties, including the drafting of responses and material for publication.

The purpose of this role is to support the research team with business as usual (BAU) administrative tasks. This role will not require formal scientific qualifications and the core focus is to help the Research Team deliver their mission more efficiently. Cancer Research UK's Cancer Intelligence (CI) team is part of our Evidence & Implementation (E&I) department within the Policy, Information and Communications directorate. The E&I department is integral in driving impact for people affected by cancer and improving patient outcomes by placing evidence at the heart of the charity's work. Through robust research, the department shapes and drives improvements to cancer policy and practice across prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, outcomes, inequalities, and innovation.

What will I be doing?

• Overseeing the planning, development and delivery of commissioned prevention policy research (PPR) and supporting the development of the new prevention policy strategy

• Being responsible for signing off all policy research commissioned contracts, briefs, and outputs, ensuring they meet the Cancer Intelligence Team's evidence standards, adhering to wider CRUK policies, and aligning directly to the PIC prevention strategy

• Supporting team members to maintain and develop their own knowledge bases and skillsets through appropriate training, horizon scanning and involvement in commissioned work

• Developing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the area of cancer prevention to identify common areas of work and identify gaps providing effective and pragmatic solutions

• Leading on dissemination of PPR outputs, including grey literature reports, peer-reviewed articles, presentations (internal and external), stakeholder engagement and press activity

• Liaising with the Cancer Prevention Knowledge Group Chair and other relevant experts to ensure that external insights are sought and appropriately incorporated into commissioned work

• Managing the budgets for prevention policy research studies and working with relevant colleagues to commission work agreed through the existing governance structures

• Gathering stakeholder feedback on strengths and weaknesses of existing team processes, including timeliness of outputs, quality of work and value for money

• Exploring different approaches for commissioned prevention policy research, to inform the development and implementation of a model of working that bests supports the delivery of the new prevention policy strategy.

What skills will I need?

In this role you will have key responsibilities to grow research capability and capacity across our membership, develop and lead projects to create accessible evidence summaries, and work collaboratively to ensure that the research pillar of practice is a core component of physiotherapy practice. For 40 years, NEF has turned big ideas, rigorous research and community power into real-world change. At this critical moment in politics, we’re looking for a Researcher (Environment & Net Zero) to join our economy and environment team.

Working with a talented group of economists and researchers, you will design, manage and deliver high-quality research projects across energy, climate, transport and wider decarbonisation. You’ll create datasets, carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis, and develop policy proposals that are creative, evidence-based and workable. You’ll also contribute to consultancy commissions, support fundraising bids, and represent NEF externally in meetings, media and public platforms such as blogs, podcasts and videos.

We’re looking for someone with a degree (or equivalent experience) in environmental economics, climate change, sustainability, public policy or a related field; strong research and quantitative skills (Excel and ideally Stata, R or Python); excellent writing and communication ability, and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Just as important is curiosity, creativity, good organisation, and a commitment to building a fairer, greener economy.

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK's largest independent funder of cardiovascular research. As a Research Advisor you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our research strategy to life. 

Through our portfolio of active research projects, we fund some of the most exciting and innovative cardiovascular research and the most talented scientists from PhD students to BHF Professors.

You’ll play an active role in supporting the work of our research grant committees, by providing scientific input throughout the research grant evaluation and delivery process and taking primary responsibility for supporting the work of the Chairs and Programme Grants Committee.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Research Advisor, Research Grants Manager and Research Grants Officer during funding cycles and grant applications and awards.

About you

With a PhD, or equivalent, degree in bioscience, you'll have knowledge and an understanding of scientific and clinical careers and the work of BHF, specifically in relation to research.

With experience of cardiovascular or related research at postdoctoral level as well as research grant evaluation and administration, you'll be able to interpret complex research data and communicate it to lay audiences

You’ll be a proactive member of the team possessing outstanding attention to detail, analytical and interpersonal skills. 

With excellent communication, prioritisation, and organisational skills you’ll be able to meet multiple deadlines. You’ll serve as an ambassador for BHF and its research achievements, promoting BHF and its research funding schemes.

Research Manager, Maternity Cover   

Salary: Circa £55,000 plus benefits

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Research Manager to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. This role is an integral role in a dynamic, international team and a fantastic opportunity for a driven and analytical senior researcher to manage the Trust’s philanthropy, prospect and due diligence research.  

We are looking for the successful candidate to start with us in January 2026.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the research strategy of the Global Engagement Team and the delivery of a high quality, in-house research service to the Warden (CEO), Trustees and senior leadership of the Rhodes Trust, in support of fundraising towards the Trust’s 125th Anniversary Campaign goal of £200 million and increased alumni and friends of Rhodes engagement. The role includes line management of two Research Associates.

The role will be responsible for;

· Managing research output to support the GET team mission.

· Managing the delivery of all briefing materials for the Warden’s Office, Trustees and senior leadership team (SLT) to support stakeholder engagement, events and travel.

· Lead tailored research projects for key global regions in co-ordination with GET senior leadership and to support Campaign Committee. Pro-actively identify potential prospects, donors, partners and volunteers for the Trust for inclusion within fundraising pipelines

· Manage a varied portfolio of research resources and processes, including scoping materials, briefings and profiles, reports, network mapping, regional insights/analysis, philanthropic trends/issues, and country-specific content.

· In collaboration with the International & Special Projects Lead (Warden/CEO Office) and GET senior leadership, support the strategy, planning and delivery of all global travel for the Warden and fundraising team, including objectives/goals, itinerary design, identifying engagement opportunities and delivery of all associated research materials.

· Responsible for all in-house due diligence research prepared for the Warden and SLT in respect to risks and sensitivities surrounding donation acceptance, and management of the Trust’s submissions to Oxford University’s Committee to Review Donations as the university’s primary point of contact.

· Role modelling the Trust’s organisational values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth and innovation.

· Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role, as requested.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

· Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience

· Substantial experience of delivering research in a fundraising organisation and undertaking due diligence research in a fundraising / funding setting  

· Experience of line management or supervising the work of others

· Outstanding research and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; ability to plan and execute research strategies and adopt creative approaches in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment  

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to rapidly and rigorously assess and condense large volumes of information from a variety of sources into clear, concise and meticulous reports, briefings, and profiles  

· Strong project management skills, with the ability to work proactively and independently on your own initiative

· Team player, with the desire to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with colleagues; ability to liaise effectively with numerous stakeholders to prioritise and pipeline multiple requests  

· Strategic thinker, curious and creative, with knowledge/understanding of both current affairs and the ability to understand and explain complex information (e.g. financial, legal) as required  

· Flexible, reliable and result-oriented; capable of switching effectively between different types of work, and tailoring level of depth and detail of research for different purposes/contexts with a strong commitment to quality control
