The College is responsible for the delivery of pathology examinations for doctors, scientists, oral pathologists (dentists) and veterinary pathologists in 17 specialties – the Fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath). She will stay in post until 28th June 2024 if needed, but is happy to step back after a brief handover as soon as a suitable Interim CEO can start in the role.
Top priorities for the Interim CEO will be leading the organisation through a period of restructuring, focusing on rebuilding core services, stakeholder relationships, processes and systems; and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards and HR protocols.

· This is a full-time role, with 4+ days per week to be spent on SYCT’s sites around Streatham. For highly experienced candidates, the role could be considered on a pat time basis (4 days per week), and/or with 3 days spent on site.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a CEO or senior executive in a turnaround management capacity, preferably within the charitable sector.
- Track record of establishing effective policies, processes and systems within an organisation.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in financial restructuring and budgetary management.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with a track record of leading organisations and teams through significant organisational and cultural change.
