The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.

We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. To do this we need to systematically build a pipeline of donors and supporters, to build profile and new relationships. In the short term we need someone who can lead the development of a series of applications to trusts, foundations and other sources of funding to support our priority workstreams.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Primary focus will be on managing and soliciting income from your own portfolio of high value trusts, foundations and statutory funders, securing gifts of between £10,000 - £1,000,000 to successfully achieve the charity’s ambitious fundraising targets.
• Secondary focus will be on the planning and delivery of first-class Special Events and Major Donor fundraising.
• Create a robust prospect pipeline of effectively researched and qualified funders, ensuring a continued flow of prospects through the pipeline, taking a sales approach to lead generation and the assessment of the warmth and value donors.
• Deliver effective research of prospective and existing donors, which enables us to raise significant income through both new and existing relationships; utilising our networks effectively.
• Implement effective cultivation and stewardship journeys that provides a high-quality supporter experience to your portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Deliver first-class relationship management to ensure excellent ongoing relationships with donors in both a written and face-to-face capacity.
• Deliver exceptional writing skills through proposal and bid writing and day-to-day communication with donors and colleagues.
• Fully understand the charity’s projects and activities to both ascertain their suitability as funding propositions and communicate them in a compelling manner to funders.
• Work closely with operational colleagues to develop compelling and thorough cases for support to inform our research and fundraising strategies.

Age UK are recruiting for a Senior Influencing Project Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract.

We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.

This exciting opportunity will also take on responsibility for managing our response to the Pandemic Inquiry and relationship with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This is initially a 12-month role, with the possibility of extending to 24 months depending on project funding.

The successful Senior Strategic Influencing Manager will take the lead in designing and delivering these complex projects, including management of external partners, consultants or agencies and internal teams as required. The role will work closely with the Policy Lead, Clinical Lead and Head of Health Influencing to coordinate and drive delivery of the organisation's goals and strategic priorities across health and care.

This hybrid role, known as a Senior Strategic Project Manager within the charity, offers flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub. Occasional travel may also be required to attend meetings, workshops etc.

• Experience of leading complex projects to deliver a combination of research, policy and practice/ service development outputs.

• Experience of policy analysis and advocacy at a senior level, including managing relationships with funders, external stakeholders and lead officials.
• Ability to assimilate new policy issues/areas quickly, make connections between different policy areas, and initiate and frame new policy agendas.
• Excellent skills in policy analysis with a focus on robust evidence, understanding political and policy contexts, and finding solutions.

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.

Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important.  The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

About the role

Our highest impact projects rely on experts from specialists from a range of disciplines both inside and outside of JRF working together effectively.

The purpose of the Delivery and Partnerships Lead is to enable multidisciplinary project teams to succeed in their objectives by applying the most relevant delivery and project management techniques and frameworks with a solutions-focused approach, alongside providing critical administrative and logistical support to keep projects in their portfolios moving forward.

As a member of our internal resources team, they will also contribute to relevant project teams/work streams set up by the team lead to deliver cross-JRF team events, new initiatives and/or develop, embed, and manage efficient business processes to ensure effective running of the system as a whole.

This role is ideal for someone with strong project and/or delivery management skills and experience, who is passionate about JRF’s mission and committed to contributing to social change.

You will be highly competent at delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously, strong administration skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a team player who can build strong and effective personal relationships across JRF as well as externally.

The Women’s Centre Cornwall has grown from its early roots as a Rape Crisis Centre into an innovative, award-winning feminist organisation which provides a wide range of services for women and girls in our communities. Our work with survivors of sexual and domestic violence is our core specialism as we believe that there can be no real gender equality without a complete cessation of violence against women. In addition, we provide community-based activities across Cornwall and support women ex-offenders across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and HMP Eastwood Park in Gloucestershire.

PURPOSE

The Effective Women’s Centre Project drives forwards and embeds a culture of data quality across The Women’s Centre Cornwall. We are looking for and experienced Data and Systems Lead to work with Managers to improve our data collection and reporting from our case management systems. The successful candidate will provide meaningful and accessible management information, outcomes monitoring, and performance reports; while supporting our Monitoring, Impact & Evaluation Manager to develop ways for us to demonstrate our impact and share stories of change. She will also support our Lived Experience Groups to ensure the experiences of women are at the heart of the organisation and inform our planning and decisions.  The Data & Systems Lead will be responsible for continued implementation and project management of the Women’s Risk and Needs Assessment (WRNA) across our services. The WRNA is part of the Effective Women’s Centres Project which is designed to improve current understanding of the needs and strengths of women and to consolidate the evidence base for the effectiveness of Women’s Centres.

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

DATA & REPORTING

• Lead on the development of TWCC’s data and case management systems (CMS) ensuring buy-in, consistency and accuracy across the organisation.
• Lead on developing reporting within the organisations case management systems.
• Cultivating a Learning Culture around data within the organisation.
• Extracting quantitative data from the CMS; carrying out quality audits and cleaning and organising the data in preparation for analysis.
• Delivering training to teams ensuring they understand the requirements and importance of data collection in a way that is engaging and inclusive
• Conducting in-depth ongoing data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, risks and issues.

THE WOMEN’S RISK & NEEDS ASSESSMENT (WRNA)

• Building upon the newly introduced Women’s Risk and Needs Assessment (WRNA) across the Open Team and supporting wider Women’s Centre teams to adopt the tool.
• Working with Service Managers, providing support to the Team Leaders, sharing learning and guidance on the use of the tool. 
• Monitor the progress of the implementation of WRNA and take appropriate action if any issues are identified.
• Organise and deliver training to enable practitioners to use the WRNA.
• Lead on integration of WRNA with case management software.
• Monitor recruitment of women to the WRNA project and quality of data inputted in the assessments.
• Lead on internal communications and messaging around implementation of the WRNA.
• Sharing learning with other women’s centres involved in the Effective Women’s Centre’s project.
• Develop and deliver a project plan which ensures WRNA is rolled out consistently across the organisation.
• Oversee the delivery of the plan, revising plans based on the changing needs and requirements of the project and wider partners involved.

LIVED EXPERIENCE WORK

• Co-facilitate the Lived Experience Group and involve women with lived experience in the implementation of the Effective Women’s Centres project and across our wider services.
• Support individuals in the group to contribute to our national influencing objectives

This role will be hybrid working, with time split between the Bodmin office and home.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Development:

• Providing strong and visible strategic leadership for the Trust as a whole, both internally and externally

• Supporting and working with the Senior Management Team on the development and implementation of the Trust’s long-term strategy, through development and delivery of annual business plans and associated budgets and KPIs

• Develop and enhance relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners
• Support the Senior Management Team to develop contacts with key stakeholders and develop strategic partnerships
• Engage with key decision-makers including SMs, MPs, Local Authorities, local councillors, corporate leaders, and community champions, to position the Trust and promote its objectives
• Support the Senior Management Team with major fundraising initiatives
• Co-operate and collaborate with the The Wildlife Trust central team, other Wildlife Trusts in Wales and across the UK

Organisational and Operational Management to include:

• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the Chairman, Honorary Officers and Trustees to ensure lawful and effective governance
• Lead the Trust’s Senior Management Team including holding monthly one to one meeting and annual appraisals
• Oversee financial management systems, ensuring the timely preparation and effective achievement of annual budgets
• Co-develop and deliver an annual Business Plan which aligns with the 2030 Strategy
• Oversee compliance with all statutory requirements (including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, Employment Law, GDPR, etc.)
• Ensure effective communication with staff, trustees and volunteers
• Work with the trustees to implement appropriate risk management systems
• Deepen the Trusts commitment to the Welsh language
