Salford Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Food is donated, sorted and packed at our warehouse, then delivered to our 7 centres across Salford, where teams of volunteers greet people as they pick up their food parcels. People can also access support and advice at our centres to help them maximise their income and ensure they are less likely to need to use the foodbank again.

You’ll be joining a friendly team of 6 part-time staff, 6 Trustees and approx. 80 volunteers, all dedicated to supporting people facing hardship. We are part of The Trussell Trust, a nationwide network of foodbanks.

Rate of pay: £21,000 per annum for 22.5 hours per week (£35,000 FTE pro-rata)

Full-time / part-time: Part time role 22.5 hours per week (flexible, home based within the North West with some contact hours at Salford Foodbank warehouse/office)

Temporary / permanent: Fixed term contract role for 18 months, with opportunity to extend based on funding

•  This is an exciting opportunity to join Salford Foodbank in a new role, accountable to the Foodbank Manager and the board of trustees. As the need for Foodbank services continues to grow Salford Foodbank has developed and expanded. The staff and volunteer team have increased, and we have embarked on new projects to support those that use the Foodbank.
• In order to maintain our current services and further develop, we need to grow our annual fundraised income.
• Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income, reach, and support from grant giving trusts and foundations as well as corporate organisations across Salford and Greater Manchester.  
• Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of growing income and building relationships with trusts and foundations as well as corporate partners to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling funding proposals that successfully engage and attract donations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Through excellent, comprehensive and considered research, you’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential grant giving trusts and foundations funders for Salford Foodbank. You’ll forge relationships with those funders, develop and submit timely and winning funding applications.
• You’ll manage the ongoing relationships with grant giving trusts and foundations funders, ensuring they receive excellent stewardship, timely reporting and doing all you can maximising potential for further funding
• You’ll proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors.
• Working with colleagues across Salford Foodbank, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage grant giving trusts, foundations and corporate partners and that can successfully align our vision and work with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
• You’ll research potential funding opportunities from the local council and local authorities.
• You will develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
• You’ll work collaboratively with other Trussell Trust food banks across the Greater Manchester area, identifying and progressing opportunities for joint funding proposals and partnerships.
• You’ll forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. You’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.
• You’ll be willing to carry out other reasonable duties contributing to the overall aims of the Foodbank.

Skills

• You’ll have good, established experience of trusts and foundations fundraising as well as corporate partnerships fundraising.
•  With excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills. You’ll be able to inspire and motivate new and existing funders.
• You’ll have experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s. 
• You’ll be tenacious and able to embrace, develop and shape a new role. You’ll be well organised, proactive, and a self-starter who is able to self-motivate.

Key Roles and Duties

In this exciting role you will be responsible for raising unrestricted income from individuals by planning and executing the day-to-day campaigns to recruit, engage and retain supporters through a range of channels.

Strategic Planning and Implementation

Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate strategies to:

• Increase individual gifts through enhancing the donor journey.

Donor Data Analysis and Segmentation

Analyse and segment the supporter base to develop targeted supporter journeys and ask strategies, using donor data from our CRM (Salesforce) to:

• Maximise the lifetime value of donors.
• Ensure effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.

Stewardship and Donor Engagement

Manage donor stewardship to provide personalised and engaging communications, including:

• Producing supporter materials.
• Building a thanking programme that offers a personal and engaging donor experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues to identify individual stories for impactful campaign content.
• Ensure all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM system.
• Maximise gift aid opportunities.

Campaign and Material Management

Work closely with the Communications Manager to:

• Create campaigns.
• Generate publicity opportunities e.g. radio, newspaper, online etc.
• Engage ambassadors and campaign specific ambassadors.
• Collect and draft beautiful stories, testimonies and case studies that engage supporters.
• Manage the production of supporter materials.
• Assist in developing Mailchimp email marketing and analyse and evaluate user journeys to maximise impact.

 Innovation and Market Trends

Lead the charge in:

• Coming up with new ideas and initiatives to bolster individual giving.
• Managing a continuous cycle of testing for new channels and techniques for acquisition and retention, based on audience insight and sector trends.

 General:

• Collaborate and communicate well with team members and particularly line manager.

Role Requirements

We are looking for the right person to join the team – this could be someone with experience or someone who is willing to learn and has a strong transferrable skill set.

You will have:

• Effective campaign copy writing and ability to translate ideas into design briefs.
•  A minimum level of skill in graphic design (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Canva). 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences in friendly and welcoming way in keeping with WONDER’s approach to empowerment.

Desirable skills and experience:

•  Experience of income generation from direct marketing campaigns (acquisition and/or retention) across a variety of digital channels for acquisition and retention.

• Experience of using databases for targeting, segmentation, testing and response analysis and how to apply these learnings to future campaigns.
• Knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection, Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant marketing or fundraising standards across the UK.

The Role

The role

As National Support Coordinator you will provide support to our members living with a rare neuromuscular condition, myasthenia, their families, and carers. You will work alongside three additional National Support Coordinators and a Benefits and Welfare Officer, ensuring our members receive the support they need, via telephone, zoom meetings and email.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness, as it is a little-unknown condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the illness. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops, and is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction in the UK and internationally. Dogs Trust Worldwide works with local dog welfare organisations around the world to improve the lives of dogs in the communities where they operate.

Dogs Trust are going through a period of growth, with recruitment for two Senior New Partnerships Managers due to the existing Lead getting an internal promotion. There are continuing plans to drive new business through long-term strategic partnerships.

The Senior New Partnerships Manager will play an active role in winning new partnerships to support international and UK-based work. Alongside the Deputy Head of Partnerships, you will work closely with the prospect research and special events team, and line manage a New Partnerships Manager.

The National Clinical Assurance Group provides independent advice and assurance to NHSE on developments around the clinical content used for NHS pathways, ensuring that patients receive the best care for their condition. As project manager, you will lead the project to ensure that NHS pathways are independently assured by clinicians who are leaders in their field.

Purpose and Scope of the Role

To enable and empower newly arrived often vulnerable refugees to settle into their new communities with confidence. 

Postholders will work closely with the volunteers, bank staff and Project Coordinators to provide a wraparound service to our clients across the region. Key elements of the service will include support with welfare benefits/income maximisation, immigration, housing, health, education and employment.

There will be a requirement to record and document contact using online systems, ensuring an evidence-based practice model of working and seamless support delivery for our clients. 

Main duties and responsibilities 

Manage a caseload of clients/households:

· Provide initial reception and orientation at client’s homes and within their local community settings 

· Carry out a holistic needs assessment and prepare a Personal Integration Plan with every household on a quarterly basis, preferably in the clients homes.

· Negotiate specialist intervention with external agencies as appropriate according to the client’s needs. 

· To be the lead contact for all agencies and responsible for coordinating support for your key clients.

· To work with families in a variety of locations such as within their home, RMC premises, on outreach and via digital means.

· To jointly agree a plan leading to beneficiary independence and service exit as per project requirements

· Where possible deliver the service in a community language

· To deliver a comprehensive action plan for welcoming the refugees from preparation prior to arrival and support for the first year. This includes but is not limited to: 

· Housing situation and housing/tenancy related goals and checking suitability of accommodation with relevant hosts, landlords and/or any other housing partners.  

Welcoming families upon arrival

· Registering with GP’s, dentists and opticians; attending medical assessments and appointments; securing appropriate specialist medical care and liaising with different health services; 

· Working with Social Services to ensure all special needs are addressed; 

· Registering for Biometric Residence Cards and ensuring that immigration paperwork is correct and any errors or discrepancies are reported to the relevant Home Office department by an OISC qualified adviser from the wider team.

· Ensure the Home Office is notified if BRP cards are not issued within the timescales set out by Home Office service standards.

· Ensure that all newly arrived are given immigration advice as required by referring them to an OISC qualified advisor within RMC.

· Ensure that every newly arrived adult above the age of 18 has access to their own bank account.

· Ensuring that refugees understand their financial rights and responsibilities

· Complete a full Entitled To calculation with all newly arrived households and apply for relevant welfare benefit provisions from DWP and HMRC.

· Support refugees with mandatory reconsiderations as required.

· Support with access to individual grants if required.

· Providing on-going orientation to the UK – information, classes, workshops and visits by key statutory services; 

· Registering and supporting children with local schools; 

· Facilitating access to ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes for all newly arrived adults; 

· Signposting and assisting in training, education and employment to ensure long term independence

· Refer into other provision as provided by third party organisations

· Organising trips and outings to places of interest and providing opportunities for social interaction and accompany refugees if required as per ongoing Personal Integration Plan and risk assessment.

· To provide client centric support around all areas of need including housing, welfare, employment, substance misuse, family reunion and social engagement.

· To ensure that this work has a focus on fostering the independence of the clients and has respect for the culture, personal history and situation of all its users. 

· To promote the long-term integration of refugees and the development of refugee communities by providing a range of tailored services to them and through working with other service providers to maximise opportunities for refugees. 

· To work with clients to facilitate their access and engagement with mainstream statutory and voluntary sector services. 

· To ensure that this work is carried out in accordance with RMC’s values, principles, policies and procedures, specifically those around equal opportunity, confidentiality, impartiality and non-directive advice.

· With the support of the Coordinator and Manager, to maintain and develop excellent working relationships with and between external stakeholders to improve the availability of mainstream and specialist services for newly arrived refugees.

We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical. This is a particularly exciting time to join the team, as we seek to maximise our impact ahead of the next general election and develop our strategy for the next few years.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities, this includes a track record of securing new bids and/or retaining existing contracts
• Previous experience in bid/proposal writing, reviewing, and editing
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, experience in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability and willingness to travel and attend market engagement events and to visit services to gain greater understanding of what SIG offers and to inform teams of relevant tender responses

Your Place's mission is to build hope and enable lasting change to end homelessness for people in east London. They are a growing charity, helping people who've lost their homes to regain their self-belief and rebuild their lives.

The Communications and Supporter Manager will provide direction and manage the team responsible for brand, communications, events and fundraising through individual giving, legacies and community and corporate partnerships. This role will also directly be responsible for Major Donor relations and income.

This role and its responsibilities are critical in the charity’s growth and delivery of strategic goals through brand development, stakeholder engagement and delivery of some key streams of fundraised income. This role will work closely with the new Head of Fundraising and Communications role which has recently been created, and with their established Trusts Fundraising Manager, to support diversification/growth of income streams.
The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering income growth and will have produced communications and/or fundraising plans in the charity sector. You will ideally have brand managerial experience as you will be line managing three members of a high performing team. With an ability to use your knowledge of successful supporter journeys, income generation and communications, this is a great opportunity to make an incredible difference to those who need it most.

This role has a salary of £39520 - £46800 and will be hybrid working from your home and from their office in East London.
