Are you passionate about patient and public engagement, effecting system change, and improving services? Are you confident to design and carry out research, and tell the story of the findings in briefings and reports?  Do you relish building relationships with external partners, and working together to bring about change? If so, we’d love to work with you to improve the experiences of people using health and social care services in Barnet.

As our Senior Research & Participation Officer, you will be working on an exciting new project to improve primary care access for residents. Your flair for planning and logistics will enable you to both gather evidence about the experiences of Barnet residents, and to collate existing data. You’ll also be comfortable producing accessible how-to guidance, to enable people experiencing health inequalities to access services.

The role will involve building effective relationships with stakeholders including GP Practice Managers, voluntary sector organisations and NHS Integrated Care Board partners. You will work with these stakeholders constructively and persuasively, to seed partnership initiatives and achieve positive change for Barnet residents.

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 required each local authority area to set up a Healthwatch organisation. Healthwatch gives people a powerful voice both locally and nationally. At a local level, Healthwatch Barnet works to help people get the best from their health and social care services, whether it's improving them today, or helping to shape them for tomorrow. Healthwatch Barnet is about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of their services, not just for the people who use them, but anyone who might need to use them in future.

Healthwatch Barnet transferred to Inclusion Barnet on 1st April 2020. It is commissioned by the London Borough of Barnet to provide the following 6 key functions:

· Gather views and understand the experiences of patients and the public

· Make people’s views known

· Promote and support the involvement of people in the commissioning and provision of local care services and how they are scrutinised

· Recommend investigation or special review of services via Healthwatch England or directly to the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

· Provide advice and information (signposting) about access to services and support for making informed choices

· Making the views and experiences of local people known to Healthwatch England (and to other local Healthwatch organisations) and providing a steer to help it carry out its role as national champion

Age UK's impactful Research Team are offering a fantastic 2 year fixed term Research Officer opportunity. In this role you will provide statistical and quantitative research support to colleagues across the charity, including policy and campaigns, media and fundraising.

The successful postholder will:
* source local, national and international statistics
* develop a database of statistics
* create data visualisations
* produce statistical notes
* support colleagues across Age UK to interpret and communicate statistics appropriately

This important work will cover the many aspects of ageing and later life which are of interest to Age UK, including income (pensions, benefits, poverty), health and care, and loneliness and social isolation.

This is an exciting hybrid opportunity, offering a blend of flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub.

Must haves:

* Ability to source data and statistics

About This Job

ACCT UK launched its new name and brand in 2021 and we are now seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to continue the delivery of our engagement programme. As ACCT UK’s Marketing Manager, you will be key to helping the wider community to understand our charity and how it is distinct from the Army Cadets, a youth organisation we are closely linked to.

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. We want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their Army Cadet experience. We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers in the Army Cadets.

About the role

A new and exciting opportunity to work with us across the England North region supporting our Liveable Cities and Towns and Paths for Everyone programmes, to encourage walking, wheeling and cycling to new and different users. 

As a Project Officer, you will organise and deliver engagement activities with local community groups, community leaders, businesses, schools and volunteers on our community led infrastructure and National Cycle Network projects. 

You will work with diverse groups within the community who may not currently use the National Cycle Network and enable them to use and look after their local route.

You will join us working 21 hours per week on a permanent basis and will be based at our National Cat Adoption Centre in Chelwood Gate. As our Director of Service Transformation, you will lead the exciting next phase of transforming our charity’s services to reach more disabled children, young people and their families. You will be responsible for sourcing and delivering contracts and partnerships essential for the charity’s sustainability by advancing our digital outreach and nurturing new partnerships and securing sustainable funds for innovative models of support. 

What you will be doing as the Director of Service Transformation:

• Lead and execute services strategies and plans that extend and transform the impact and financial sustainability of the charity’s services and support for disabled children, young people and their families. 
• Lead the design, development and sales of innovative new service models and the scaling of existing services.
• Work closely with the other executive directors and leadership team to achieve the generation of an annual financial surplus to reinvest in Kids.

• Ensure effective budget management underpins service development and delivery.  Ensure contracts and tenders are commercially negotiated and regularly monitored. Work with colleagues to identify and achieve necessary margins on contracts and projects for financial sustainability.

We are looking to develop our services in Northern Ireland to be able to offer services to people living with arthritis and chronic pain.

About the role

You will co-ordinate all aspects of the ‘Together Versus Arthritis’ project within the area, which involves recruiting volunteers, service promotion and building relationships in the community. You will be responsible for supporting volunteers to deliver services, as well as monitoring and evaluation, so that we can effectively demonstrate the impact the service is making.

The service offers peer-led self-management and physical activity courses both within communities and online. Courses are designed to support people to develop the confidence, knowledge, and skills to live well with their condition.

You will help us to develop and pilot services for young people transitioning from our Young People and families service to adult services.

You will help us to ensure our services reach diverse communities in the Northwest, by co-producing resources, building partnerships and testing ways of working.

About you

The Homestead Park has been cherished by communities for 120 years since it was gifted to the people of York by social reformer Seebohm Rowntree (son of Joseph Rowntree) so that all individuals, regardless of class or income, could enjoy time in nature.

At JRF, we’re honouring this heritage and turning the leaves of a new chapter in the story of Homestead Park. We’re looking to the future to understand how on our home soil over the next 100 years we can grow opportunities to support JRF’s wider mission which is to ‘speed up and support the transition to a more equitable and just future, free from poverty in which people and planet can flourish’.  We’ll draw inspiration from Rowntree’s radical roots and cultivate the conditions for people to come together to explore the challenges of these times. We want to uphold this tradition and not only preserve a piece of history, but also reaffirm our dedication to creating a park and pavilion community space that serves the needs and interests of the people it belongs to.

We will be developing a ten year plan to help to guide our work in Homestead Park and we’re creating two exciting new roles to support this work: the Head of Homestead Park role and Community Engagement Lead. We’ll work alongside community groups and local people to steer the development of the Park and understand how it can serve communities today and for generations to come.

You’ll have a strong commitment to climate action and climate justice and how this links with social justice and nature-based wellbeing. You’ll be a great communicator and you’ll be skilled at connecting with diverse stakeholders and build consensus around shared goals.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Trust Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and grant making organisations.  This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary year and look to a future of growth and building on our past achievements. 

About the role

- You'll research trusts and foundations funding opportunities to which IHP can apply.
- You'll prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations in order to grow our core income.
- You'll work across teams and build effective relationships with team members in order to identify suitable projects for funding in line with strategy and budgets.
- You'll support the preparation of funding applications by members of the team to other donors, including corporate donors, major donors and other charity partners (NGOs)​

Essential qualifications, knowledge,/transferrable skills and experience:

• Relevant fundraising experience (trusts and foundations)
• Experience of managing relationships with external stakeholder
• Experience of administration and record-keeping
• Experience of developing and managing budgets in line with funding applications.

Coproduction & Activities Coordinator

Full time (35 hours per week) – Permanent - £42,588 pa

As lead for coproduction across our Care & Supported Housing Department, the post holder will have a firm understanding of  the breadth of strengths and skills of the people using our services, while also having an awareness of the operational requirements of the department. Maximising opportunities to work together, improving communication and fully embracing the experiences of all the people we support so that we continue to improve services, enhance support and offer solutions and services that are truly coproduced.

The role, will lead Hightown's coproduction group 'VoiceBox', overseeing all coproduction activities, seeking new coproduction opportunities, recording successes, outcomes and monitoring activities all in accordance with Hightown's coproduction strategy. Performance will be reported to Hightown's Board.  

Additionally the post holder will also  encourage, promote, and celebrate the wide range of activities carried out by our diverse services. This role will look to identify, highlight and promote the activities already being undertaken as well as seek new opportunities, funding, access and awareness of an increased range of activities for all the people we support to further enhance their lives and better their outcomes. They will encourage services to broaden their range of activities and oversee the introduction of an activities database.

We're looking for someone

• With experience of promoting and implementing coproduction and coproduced activities with proven success of building relationships and effective partnerships
• With experience of working with vulnerable young people and/or adults from diverse backgrounds and/or complex needs using a variety of methods to engage groups in different ways.With the skills to coordinate Expert by Experience activities including delegating responsibilities.Who is strategic and creative; they will also be pragmatic and able to put vision into clear practice through competent project management approaches.
