The Role
National Voices has been commissioned by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to deliver their work with the CQC Public Engagement Network. The Public Engagement Network is a group of 200+ charities with reach into communities experiencing health inequalities across England. By engaging with these organisations, the CQC’s aim is to ensure that local health and care services meet the needs and preferences of the communities they serve.

The Voices for Health Equity Project Manager role is to:

Lead the delivery of the Public Engagement Network contract from inception through to delivery, learning and evaluation, including co-ordinating an integrated management team including representatives of our two partner organisations.

Build, manage and sustain the Public Engagement Network, creating a range of opportunities for members to participate, and ensuring relationships are meaningful, inclusive and mutually beneficial.

Ensure high-quality insight is captured from the network, analysed and translated into learning, improvement and influence.

Provide day-to-day project governance, quality assurance and risk management.
The role is delivery-focused and externally facing, with significant responsibility for programme management, partner relationships and ensuring National Voices’ values are embedded in how CQC uses the insights generated.
Responsibilities
Programme and client management

Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Public Engagement Network programme, including co-ordinating an integrated management team including representatives of our two partner organisations.

Manage individual project plans, budgets, risks and dependencies, escalating issues appropriately and ensuring delivery remains on track.

Oversee subcontracted work, including agreeing briefs, managing performance, quality assuring outputs and approving invoices.

Act as the main point of contact for the commissioners, and lead on regular reporting obligations and on programme evaluation.
Building and managing the Public Engagement Network

Take lead responsibility for engaging, stewarding, supporting and retaining a network of VCSE organisations with reach into marginalised communities and those experience inequalities.

Design and deliver engagement approaches with the network and those they represent that prioritises trust, long-term relationships and mutual benefit.

Oversee the delivery of learning events, sense-making sessions and other opportunities that support members to build confidence, skills and influence.

Ensure participants are appropriately supported, reimbursed and recognised for their contribution.

Ambitiously grow the Network, through participating in outreach events, ongoing communication activities and more.
Co-ordinate and support activities capturing insight, learning and impact

Co-ordinate and support colleagues with projects that capture qualitative and quantitative insight from people with lived experience, including insight capture events, focus groups, interviews, advisory groups etc.

Our approach to hybrid working
We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.
We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to- face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.
We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time. We are happy to discuss how this sits in your life. This can be agreed by your line manager.
In addition, because this role involves engaging with and recruiting to a large network of VCSE organisations, the post holder will be required to regularly attend in-person events across England. These are likely to take place around once a month and may sometimes require overnight stays. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for events across England will be paid, however, travel to our London office will be at the expense of the postholder.

Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person

2wish Cymru and 2wish:
2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.
In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Context of role:
The Headof Finance & Business Services will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for ensuring the charity is financially sustainable, legally compliant and operationally efficient.
This role provides strategic oversight of finance, governance, HR, IT, facilities, risk management, and business administration, enabling the charity to deliver its mission effectively and responsibly.

Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Act as a senior advisor to the CEO and Board of Trustees on financial strategy, organisational performance, risk, and governance.

Financial Management

What we do for you:
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Normal office hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

About the Role
We’re seeking a senior member of the CIPFA Finance management team. Alongside the core deliverables, you’ll work with the CFO and Head of Finance to shape our financial strategy and transform operations.
The Financial Controller will lead CIPFA’s technical accounting, treasury, tax and financial reporting activities across the organisation and its trading subsidiary.
This is a broad and hands-on role with responsibility for statutory reporting, year-end and audit management, treasury oversight and the charity’s tax environment. Key Responsibilities

Overall Purpose
The PR and Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in protecting and enhancing the NHS Charity sector’s brand reputation across media and digital channels and to reach our key audiences. As a senior member of the Strategic Engagement team, the postholder will help shape and deliver a compelling narrative about the role, need and impact of NHS charities, working with our NHS charity members to ensure our story is told in an emotive and engaging way.
Working closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement, the Associate Director of Communications, Communications Lead, PR Manager and the wider team, the postholder will provide strategic leadership across PR, digital content, brand messaging and storytelling. Key Responsibilities

Media and Marketing Strategy
- Lead the strategic direction of PR, marketing and digital activity to support organisational priorities.
- Ensure an integrated approach across media, digital and brand, aligning messaging and creative.
- Coordinate with internal teams to develop forward plans for proactive media moments, using case studies, campaigns, thought leadership, reports and partnerships.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact reputation, coordinating responses with internal teams.
Brand and Messaging
- Oversee brand messaging and visual identity, collaborating with members to galvanise engagement and reach and ensuring consistent application across all channels.
- Provide guidance to colleagues and external partners on tone of voice, key messages and visual standards.
- Ensure communications are inclusive, accessible and reflective of the communities we serve.
Storytelling and Content Leadership
- Oversee development of versatile, high-quality content including imagery, video, copy, and digital storytelling assets, working closely with the Communications Lead to take a strategic approach across audiences.
- Shape the forward content plan for digital channels, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Use data and insight to inform digital content strategy and continuous improvement.
- Lead and inspire the team to gather emotive case studies that bring to life the work and impact of NHS charities.
Media Operations
- Oversee a responsive, well-run press office managing enquiries, monitoring coverage and ensuring timely, high-quality responses.
- Support and guide the PR Manager to maximise media presence with target audiences.
- Build relationships with journalists and position NHS Charities Together and the wider NHS charity sector with our priority audiences.
- Oversee the team to manage our relationships with high profile supporters and celebrities.
- Act as a spokesperson where appropriate.
Digital Channels
- Line-manage the Senior Communications Officer to ensure our digital channels effectively support organisational objectives.
- Oversee planning and delivery across website, social media and email marketing.
- Ensure digital activity is insight-led, audience-focused and continually optimised through analytics.
Campaigns, Events and Activities
- Oversee delivery of campaigns and events, ensuring they are well planned, impactful and aligned to brand and messaging.
- Work with internal teams to maximise the communications and marketing potential of organisational activities.
- Provide strategic input and coordination across multi-channel campaigns.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the Associate Director of Communications and Engagement and the Communications Lead to develop shared priorities, workflows and team culture.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and clear direction to team members.
- Represent Communications across the organisation and with external partners when required.
Other duties

The Role
Having launched our Youth Adventure Programmes in Somerset in 2024, we are now looking for somebody who wants to take the next step in their fundraising career to build on the foundations of the last two years and significantly increase our presence in the county.
As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser, you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities.
Your role will encompass:

Relationship building: Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships while providing high-quality stewardship to our existing Somerset-based supporters.

Community Engagement: Championing our work in Somerset by giving engaging talks to community groups and networking with local businesses.

Event delivery: Playing a key role in delivering local fundraising challenge events, the bi-annual Somerset Adventure Dinner and developing new opportunities to unite the Somerset business community behind our mission.
You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager and the Director of Fundraising and Communications to ensure each proposal is bespoke and every corporate partner understands the impact of their support on local young people. You must live in Somerset, have a good local awareness and be willing to travel around the county and beyond to nurture long-lasting, strategic relationships.
About You
We are looking for a people-person, who is self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable in the board room engaging business leaders as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You will be:

Local: You must live in or near Somerset to maximise local networking opportunities, attend regular in-person meetings and events and confidently talk about local issues facing both businesses and the young people we support through our programmes;

Outdoorsy: A genuine love for the outdoors, comfortable in wellies and waterproofs with an understanding of 'the power of the outdoors'.
The Charity
At the Youth Adventure Trust, we use outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable young people from Swindon, Wiltshire and Somerset to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. We work with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives. Dedicated support, guidance and mentoring from our staff and volunteers ensures young people receive the maximum benefit from our long-term intervention. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.
We’re proud to offer our programmes completely free of charge to participants which means the fundraising team is crucial. With ambitious plans to help more young people from Somerset over the coming years, our Regional Corporate Fundraiser role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference for local young people. Whilst you will have the flexibility of a 21-hours-per-week role, this could increase as more corporate partnerships are secured. You’ll be part of a small fundraising team with a big heart, with plenty of opportunities to visit our programmes and see the tangible impact of your work.
